All other companies tried to overcharge especially during this time but not then. Thank you for replacing my meter and weatherhead when the tree knocked it out. He installed a new fuse box, as well as several ceiling fans in our apartment. He had to snake electrical wires through the ceiling for the fans. He cut the ceiling so the holes were not immediately visible and could be easily patched. He worked efficiently and neatly, cleaning up as he went along. I HIGHLY recommend Ocean Electric! We plan on using their plumbing services soon, as well.

They did a good job trying to minimize the damage as much as possible. The damage that was made was promptly fixed. This is the third time we've had them come to the home. I'm writing a review for this particular service call since it was larger than the last service call (thermostat installs). BQ - if you see this - be prepared, I will call you for lighting updates on the outside of the house this time :)

I'm happy with the work done by BQ Electric. We needed some updating of breakers, outlets and…read morefixtures on an older home. The work was completed satisfactorily. Electricians Vinny and Anthony were personable and answered all our questions. When unexpected issues came up, they presented us with a range of options and didn't pressure us into having any additional work done. They also accommodated an additional small job that popped up unexpectedly. Estimates are done via computer software, so you can expect consistency in pricing - they're not just making up numbers as they go along. Overall, I found them professional, knowledgeable, and reliable and would use them again. Electrical work isn't cheap - especially on Long Island - but I think we made out OK given the quality of the work and the amount of time they spent on the job.

This review is in addition to a review I wrote about a different job Platinum Plumbing did for me…read more After 7 years or so I once again called on Platinum Plumbing for a project. Replace the first floor baseboard with high output baseboard. Peter measured the job up and returned with Christian another day to complete the work. I admit I was impressed with the concern that was paid to how each peice was installed. A level and tape measure was used on each peice of baseboard to insure that when completed the entire run was the same height and on the same plain. Each cover was trimmed if needed so it fit together properly. When they were done they cleaned up after themselves and even helped me put my things back, which they didn't have to do. I could say I'm happy with the work they did and leave it there. The truth is I'm really impressed with the work did, it came out more beautiful than I hoped. They showed more attention to detail than they had to, and the price was very competitive. Its been 7 years and Pete is still doing really prideful work. I highly recommend you give this company a chance to work at your home or business. Im certain you're going to be impressed with the end result. Henry.

I spoke to Erin over the phone and she was amazing! She was super helpful in explaining the different plans to me and spent over an hour talking to me and answering all of my questions. She was completely thorough and explained every plan to me, breaking everything down so that I was able to make the best decision. Fast forward to the technician. Russell H. was incredible and so very patient. He was very diligent and thorough with everything, talking through everything that he did and explaining why he was doing it. He answered all of my questions and was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He stayed for 2+ hours working to make sure that we had heat. I'll definitely be reaching out and requesting him for future service. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience. After I have the contract and service for 5 years . I now see a difference in their people skills . There was absolutely no negotiation with their pricing offers this year and there is an extremely high increase of oil prices . Since my contract was up for renewal I too received a call from Hans who tried to give me a renewal for 6:00$ a gallon . I was paying 4:50 last year. Understandable that prices are up but he had no other options to kick in at a lower rate there was no choice and I felt that the loyalty of returning to them for 5 years and purchasing a new boiler from them didn't even count . I explained there was a loss in the family and now it's my obligation to get the new contract no empathy there. It was one way only. I never had my boiler tuned up and since it was in the contract I was told it still was good till the end of the month . Appointment was cancelled by Tragar since I obviously didn't accept their offer they gave me. The office said that the tune up was still good because the new pricing was separate from my contract one was September and contract was good till October 31. After trying to confirm the appointment I was told I am no longer a customer ,stating you cancelled the account since you didn't take the pricing from the billing office and therefore so was your contract cancelled . Not only are you ( Tragar) insensitive to family loss they are above all else , extremely greedy . I know it's a business but stop saying you are a family business you certainly don't care about your customers and their families .
