I am a big yelper. I come to yelp for so many different needs. If you look over my reviews I give credit where credit is due. I have not been dissapointed until now. Les returned my call promptly and arrived on time the day of the appointment. I showed him the areas I needed fixed and I mentioned that these were small projects and I understood if he was not interested. Les told me that the small jobs kept him busy in between the large jobs and things were currently a little slow. This was Tuesday, 11/18. He said to give him a couple of days and he would get the quote to me via email. That Saturday I texted Les because I had not seen an email come across. He texted back to apologize and said to give him until Monday and quote "I get do busy at times I can keep up with the estimates." (Please see above where he said he was slow) Monday evening I texted asking what time the quote was sent. I never received any response in any form. My frustration lies in the fact that if he didn't want the work i would have respected his choice had he been upfront in the first place. Instead I lost a week in getting the work completed because of Les' lack of communication and respect for a potential customer. read more

Les and his crew did a fantastic job painting our home. Not only did he go above and beyond with the painting job itself, but he was incredibly patient and helpful with our other exterior beautification concerns such as replacing rotted wood trim, replacing/updating the front screen door and installing a new porch light. They were always non-disruptive and extremely clean while working and upon completion. Communication was always consistent and clear----we really appreciated that! read more

Les came out the same day I called him, provided me an estimate right away and had the work done the next day! Very professional, and even provided me pictures of the all the work he did on my roof. This fellow is a very likeable guy and I found it difficult to confront him with the issues we had with the job. Part of the problem is that he just did not complete the detail work which we ended up doing ourselves. This was an inside the house project and he is not very good in cleaning up, either. To top it off he tied to hit us up for an additional amount at the end stating he had unexpected expenses. If you use him make it very clear what your expectations are and firmly establish the price. read more

Les and his crew did some tiling and plumbing in a bathroom. They also painted my laundry room from ceiling to baseboards, including all the cabinetry. They were at my house for 4 days. This company is easy to work with. Les, as the general contractor, stayed in touch with me and checked on his crew twice each day. The crew was professional, arriving on time and cleaning up at the end of each day. When i later discovered a small adjustment to new plumbing fixture was required, Les had someone there within a couple of hours to fix it. Finally the price was very reasonable. Les and his team did some repair work around our house in preparation for moving. They replaces an exterior door, repaired and painted sheetrock, and fixed a balcony railing. We were pleased with the work and had a minor defect which Les returned to fix very quickly. read more

Hazardous NEC Code Violations And Damages Found After Cahal Construction, LLC and Electrical Subcontractor E. Rios Electric Replaced the Electrical Main Panel (garage) and Electrical Sub-Panel (main house) in Residential Home on 8143 Northbridge Drive, Spring, TX 77379 Under The Guise of Bringing Them Up To Code Code Violations and Damages As Per Attached Pictures and Narrative Below: Violations: 1.) Receptacle #1 reads 240V, should be 120V. 2.) Receptacle #2 reads 240V, should be 120V. 3.) Receptacle #3 reads 240V, should be 120V. 4.) Receptacle #4 feeding Wine Cooler reads 240V, should be 120V. (On same circuit as mentioned receptacles reading 240V) 5.) Receptacle #5 in Dining Room (in common wall) reads 240V, should be 120V. (On same circuit as mentioned receptacles reading 240V) 6.) Not Pictured - Gas Cooking Range is on same circuit as mentioned receptacles reading 240V, should be 120V. 7.) Installed Sub-Panel in main house showing 50A., 2Pole breaker (Breaker 2/4, top right hand side) feeding Items 1 thru 6 above at 240V, should be 120V. Also, Breakers should be marked for equipment they feed. 8.) Installed Main Panel in garage showing 35A., 2 Pole breaker (Breaker 2/4, top right hand side) feeding garage apt. A/C unit at 240V. A/C unit is rated only for 15A, maximum full load. Breaker is oversized and should be 20A., 2 Pole. 9.) Not Pictured - In garage apartment, an internal wall was removed during remodeling by Cahal Construction and subcontractor where an existing switch was mounted to operate and existing lighting fixture. The fixture is still overhead but is not operable since the switch was never re-installed creating a dangerous situation since the switch live wire could still be up in the attic. Damaged Equipment: 10.) Breville Mini Smart Oven burned out when plugged into incorrectly wired 240V receptacle. Model and Specs as shown. 11.) Kitchen Aid Blender burned out when plugged into incorrectly wired 240V receptacle. Model and Specs as shown. 12.) Scotsman Wine Cooler burned out when its receptacle circuit was incorrectly wired for 240V as above. Model and Specs as shown 13.) Breville Espresso Machine burned out when its receptacle circuit was incorrectly wired for 240V as above. 14.) Not Pictured - Capital Gas Cooking Range controls/ignitor burned out when its circuit was incorrectly wired for 240V as above. In summation, Cahal Construction and E. Rios Electric, supposedly licensed, bonded and professional contractors which were supposed to bring the panels up to code did the opposite and created National Electrical Codes violations allowing for fire hazards and human shock hazards. If they would have tested their work, they would have found out the extreme safety hazards of possible fire or human injury/casualties they created and just walked off. read more
