Great food for prices and nice staff. We have been staying here when we come in town. Not to mention the great drink prices.

Nice place to get a good, cheap drink in Russellville! Food is solid too. Great service too.

Ok food and great alcoholic beverages. Just don't expect an incredible atmosphere but who cares when you drinking good cheap beer.

Stopped for breakfast here before heading up scenic 7 for the drive north…read more Stoby's was on the way and seemed a good choice. Right now as long as you're coming from the west you can drive directly to the restaurant before the road is closed for construction (7/2026). We split a 2 egg with bacon breakfast and enjoyed it immensely. The house strawberry jam was really good. The hash browns were perfectly prepared if a bit greasy. The eggs ordered over medium were just a bit overcooked but we wanted to be sure the whites were fully done. My wife especially liked the cure on the bacon. Our server was prompt, friendly and attentive. She did a great job. It was interesting seeing how the original restaurant was converted rail cars and later expanded into what they have today. We heartily recommend Stoby's if you're ever in the area.

If you are hungry don't get caught on the "wrong side of the tracks."…read more Stoby's is a railroad themed diner that sits adjacent to and across the tracks from the old Russellville train depot. There is some needed street and bridge improvements happening right now in the area, so navigation to Stoby's may not match your GPS recommendations. By the way, the old Russellville train depot is a museum that might be worth a visit after breakfast. Outside around back at Stoby's, you will notice a couple of Pullman cars that are actually part of the restaurant that you can dine in. The Pullmans are likely set up to handle groups. See the pictures from the outside and inside. The restaurant has a model railroad track that winds its way throughout the dining area. It was not running today. I suspect as a result of some type of Railroad Labor Union dispute. Mostly booths in the main dining area. Overall, it is a big restaurant. We were seated promptly and with menus; the drink orders processing while we studied the menu. The restaurant has daily specials, but we weren't railroaded into those options. The very nice waitress gave us plenty of time to study the menu and make a selection of our choice. My wife went for the Taco Salad; this ain't no Mexican joint but that's what she wanted. This is a southern food diner. The taco salad was similar to a school cafeteria, lunch taco salad. All the ingredients were fresh; the meat well was seasoned. The sauce came from a bottle. No, this ain't a Mexican restaurant. My wife liked the salad though. My meal was tasty and about as southern as it could get. Good cream gravy over a crunchy fried chicken breast, a cup of mashed potatoes with more cream gravy, and green beans with bacon. A slice of buttered Texas toast on the side to wipe the plate clean. No derailment at our table. It was a good meal with friendly service. Our ticket said Melissa was the conductor. Be sure to check the pie case up front!

What a ridiculous experience…read more I've eaten at Colton's several times at different locations, including this one. The food is usually fine. The service at this location, however, was absolutely terrible. I placed an online order at 11:56 a.m. with a pickup time of 12:11. I ordered chicken nachos and selected "no beans"--which was literally an option THEIR online ordering system gave me. After sitting in curbside pickup for about 15 minutes, I finally called. I was told they couldn't make the nachos without beans because apparently the refried beans are premixed with the chicken. Okay... sounds disgusting, but whatever. I told them, "That's fine. Just make them however you normally make them and bring them out." Another 15 minutes goes by. Still no nachos. I called AGAIN and had to explain everything to another manager. At that point, I'd been sitting there for over 30 minutes waiting on an order that was supposed to be ready at 12:11. Here's an idea: If customers CAN'T order the chicken nachos without beans, DON'T PUT "NO BEANS" AS AN OPTION ON YOUR ONLINE MENU. Pretty simple. And once I said I didn't care and would take them however they came, why did it take another 15+ minutes and another phone call? I finally told them to forget it and asked for a refund, which I'm still waiting on. I'm traveling. That half hour mattered. I could've been 30+ miles down the road instead of sitting in a parking lot waiting for nachos that apparently required an act of Congress to get out the door. Everyone I spoke with was nice, so I'll give them that. But seriously--get your shit together. The customer service and organization were horrible.
