I had to get more cash from the atm and then get additional change to finish my laundry since the broken machines took several of my quarters. Somebody gave me the brilliant idea to take the blankets from my king size bed to a laundromat to…read morewash, as every time I washed them at home my washer shook uncontrollably. Since I am a night owl, I looked for the laundromat with the latest, hours and this one was it, with the last load allowed in at 10:30 PM. When I walked in the smell of mold Was stronger than the smell of laundry, typically one of my favorite smells. To add to this there was standing water throughout the middle of the aisle. The water was brown. I thought twice but push through as I wanted to get the blankets washed. As I looked at the washers I saw obvious filth that had not been addressed in a long time. There was dirt and hair on the outside and crevice of the window and on top of the washer where soap and fabric softener are added. I had made it this far so I persevered, lysol in hand. When I opened the flap to add soap and fabric softener the sight is one that I will never be able to unsee. What must have been years of different soaps, liquid and powder, softeners and God knows what else was caked so thick that I could barely pour any soap in. The washers were fast but then I moved on to the dryer... Through the holes in the drum (I think that is what it is called) I could see dirt, lint, etc. I used the dryers and they dried fast. So.... I'm still seriously debating if I need to go to another laundry mat as there is something very unsettling about "cleaning" your blankets in a FILTHY machine followed by drying them, after they are clean, in a dirty dryer. I was not able to take pics because I was not taking my phone in this facility. There is a sign on the door that says their hours changed due to vandalism. Honestly, how can you tell this place was vandalized and how can you expect people to treat a facility with respect that looks like this. Smh. Shame on you Robinsons.

The attendant stated she knew that machine and another were not working yet there was no out of order sign on them. I asked for a refund and she refused to return the money. I had started other machines so I moved down to a different machine. When I returned to the new machine it was Stopped prematurely the clothes were not wet yet the attendant still insisted that the machine had ran. And once again refused to return the money. They must go out of their way to hire rude attendants. I have used this place when I have a backup of laundry to catch me up. This is the first time I felt like they were there to scam me. I ended up taking my laundry elsewhere.

Also, I luckily had the chance to watch the owner (?) close up shop and watched her wipe down surfaces and generally take care of the equipment, which really gives me confidence on the overall cleanliness of the place. The owner (?) was also very nice immediately after I walked in, recommending a washer and explaining the prices. I also love that there are a variety of different washers and dryers available, regular ones for those who do laundry regularly and industrial ones that will take a month's load of laundry. There are quite a few tables for folding, chairs for sitting, and a nice flat screen for some mindless entertainment while you wait. The prices are the higher side of reasonable but it's only a dollar more than the very inefficient, questionably clean washer and dryer at my apartment complex.
