Philippines Review #10
The Cagban Jetty Port is one of two jetty ports used for people going to and from Boracay. This port is on the southern end of the island and is used during "high season" (December to May), because the distance is shorter than the other port. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/cagban-jetty-port-malay?select=ThHAKCBMso_eMisekyaWAQ
The first couple times I went to Boracay, there was no Jetty Port. The boats would pull up to the beach at one of 3 locations, Boat station #1, #2 or #3. They would then lower the ramp into the water and you'd walk into the water and up on to the beach. Yes your shoes/feet got wet, but I really LOVED THIS because it really had a "small island" feel to it.

Travel time from Caticlan to this port is only about 10 minutes.

Once at the port, you'll find plenty of tricycles or minivans to take you were you need to go, for a fee of course.

During "low season" (July to November) and poor weather, Tambisaan jetty Port on the south east corner of the island is used instead of this port.
They have been slowly improving this port, so I imagine it's better now than when I was last there. read more
