I'm beyond happy that I recommended my sister to have her destination wedding at Crimson! After doing tons of research; food and impeccable service at Crimson was frequently mentioned as one of the best by a lot of reviewers, and they weren't wrong at all. Traveled to a lot of places and the service here was one of the most memorable. Transportation through the resort is seamless. Their lounge by the airport before we went on their private boat was clean and had several complimentary snacks for the guests. We absolutely love getting dropped off right at their private beach front dock and greeted by welcoming drummers. Abby, the wedding coordinator or Crimson was the best! My sister said she was patient, efficient in her responses and was so helpful with the whole process which made it so easy planning things from the out of the country. She was so happy that she made sure to bring a gift for her from the US. On the actual wedding day at 3:45am, we had a terrible emergency, the groom unfortunately had to be taken to the ER having extreme stomach pain and vomiting. The Manager on duty on 2/20 went above and beyond and personally went to the couple's room to help. He even called a couple hospitals ahead of time to ensure they were going to be taken care of and took the right information needed from the hospitals to pass on to the wedding couple. He also got transportation ready to go asap. Crimson Even sent breakfast without us asking to, to the hospital while they were waiting for his results and treatment, which was so thoughtful and meant a lot to us. The wedding food selection was also amazing. (The truffle mashed potatoes were to die for) (though some of the small dessert cakes were too sweet) The bride picked the highest buffet tier and her guests said that it was the best wedding buffet selection they have ever seen. The best thing is that they even were able to move the wedding the next day after the emergency and were able to make the wedding happen seamlessly and beautifully, which was amazing and miraculous in itself given the circumstances. We are so happy we picked a place that truly cared so much about our experience. So if you are thinking of where to have your wedding in Boracay, look no further. You will get what you pay for and more. Crimson will do their best to deliver. An amazing stay overall! From the airport, there was a easy private shuttle to their private dock. The dock was clean, had ac and complimentary items. Staff was friendly. The dock was actually walkable and goes 20-30 yards into the water. Transportation including bus and boat ride was under 40 minutes and we appreciated that we never felt rushed by staff. Upon arrival to the resort, this place is absolutely modern, clean and stunning. We also got a tour of the place during check-in. The room was beautiful, large windows, great wifi, great water pressure and shower. Housekeeping was quick with requests and very attentive. The pool area does close kinda early but it's basically empty every night by nightfall. The beach area is gorgeous, especially the sunset. There's also couple romantic dinner reservations available with live music. Azure the restaurant was clean, beautiful and attentive. Mosaic the latin grill is definitely more upscale. The bread is a nice touch and this place is stunning as well. Our only con would be no airplay/screensharing available for apple products on the room tv's. Cannot wait to come back. read more

Had the pleasure of staying here for a work event. This hotel is located in station zero in Boracay and has its own stretch of beach and numerous infinity pools. Staff are amazing and friendly and hotel has lots of different rooms and restusrants on site to choose from. Food at each restaurant I ate at was great and there were many different options from Filipino food to Indian, American, Japanese, Indonesian and Thai foods. They also had a Latin American option ( which I didnt go to). Rooms were great and resort relatively new - would highly recommendnfor a trip to Boracay! read more

Having been born on an island, I tend to gravitate towards those in other countries, when it is vacation time. On a recent trip to the Philippines, I had the opportunity to go to Boracay island, a stunning destination that sits a 1-hour flight away from Manila. It was my second trip here and I was going to be here for a week. My first trip in 2017 was only for 3 days, and I stayed elsewhere. When in Boracay, I always feel that I have died and gone to heaven. So how does one choose where to stay? Crimson resorts are a resort brand that is present only in the Philippines. Close friends raved about their Crimson stay in Cebu (another Philippine Island, about 90 minutes flying time away from Manila). So, we headed here. In Boracay, the brand lived up to its reputation, and more. After arriving at Caticlan airport In Boracay, we were efficiently transferred by van to and exclusive Crimson jetty where you are treated with a welcome hot/cold face towel. There are refreshments (non-alcoholic) and sweet treats like cookies and the like, to occupy you while you wait for the private Crimson launch to take you to the resort. In this situation, arrival at the resort is by water (15-20 minute trip), if the weather permits. What a magnificent view of paradise as you approach the landing dock. After a seamless check in process, I was shown to my room. On entering I noticed that my two pieces of luggage were already in there. The room itself was gorgeous. Lots of glass, elegant decor, high class toiletries, and numerous other items, tooth brushes, toothpaste, lotions, gels, sewing kit, etc. Two bath robes also were awaiting in the bathroom area. Two pairs of beach slippers were also provided. Other complimentary items included a beach bag, a nice hat, and two big bottles of water (with no price tags on them). Every floor had a water cooler that could be used to replinish the water bottles at no charge. This is most welcome. Other resorts charge and rip you off just to drink water. Amenities at Crimson abound. The resort sits on an idyllic and calm bay that is home to a breathtaking private beach, that will further captivate you every evening at sunset. There are also several pools and restaurants. I have reviewed the popular restaurants separately on this platform. Most frequented are Saffron (for a huge buffet breakfast) and Azure (for lunch, dinner and beach bar). Food at both restaurants is outstanding. There are other activities, including water sports, that can also be booked at the resort. During my stay here, I had the distinct privilege of meeting the general manager, Patrick Manthe. During our conversation on the go (I was heading to the beach), I learned that he has been at Crimson for 2 years and came here from similar responsibilities in Thailand. I complimented Patrick on what he has done to Crimson to make it the most talked about and sort after resort in Boracay. No other place on Boracay can compare to Crimson if you evaluate 5 core must-have categories at a resort. They are location (pristine, with a wow beach), accommodations (clean rooms, very comfortable, well stocked and serviced), Food (many succulent choices, all round exceptional), Amenities (so many possibilities) and service (unparalleled in all departments). We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary! We get the room with the sea view. And it's a beautiful view to see. It's on the pricy side but I think it's worth it, from the staff, they're so accommodating and very nice, we had a very good experience from checking in up to the last day of our stayed. Breakfast buffet was included in our package, they have a good breakfast selections, and since our flight was very early they are able to give a pack breakfast. I can say that they really have a good customer service. We enjoyed our 2 nights stay. And if ever will go back to boracay I don't mind staying back in this resort. read more

Considering my own personal experience as an avid traveller, the Crimson ranks way up there. Boracay is my favorite getaway place, even before it became commercialized. I love Palawan, Siargao, and Cebu, but Boracay always beckons. I have been to every nook and cranny place on the island, from the cheapest to the priciest. Nowadays, I love to splurge and pamper myself. With so many choices to choose from, where can I go wrong? Crimson Boracay is one of those fancy places you might want to spend, but because of its offerings, you might as well spend a good amount of money. This place is impressive, and it truly represents Filipino hospitality at its finest. From the moment I got to Caticlan and experienced a personalized service in their private jetty port (cold face towels!) to the ride to the island, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel staff is attentive and respectful, and they are quick to respond to my requests. The food is amazing! Although, I witnessed their executive chef "kind of" berating one of the kitchen staff members. I mean, the chef is foreign, and I was not too fond of the scene. Well, that was their problem to solve. The beach provides enough privacy, and the staff quickly laid clean and warm towels on the lounges. Lifeguards everywhere! They're very strict with "beach curfew," they asked us to leave the water promptly at 6 PM. Like kids, of course, we obliged. I asked for an upgrade to a room with a plunge pool, and they got it ready and sanitized immediately. It was a wise decision since I love my privacy and the chance to jump at the pool first thing in the morning. For dinner tonight, we had sinigang and fried chicken, and they were divine. When one leaves a place, the one that stays with you most is how wonderful you were treated, and the Crimson service is beyond compare. I have one gripe though, the nocturnal felines are incessant in finding food. I wonder who's feeding them at night?! And! They left their poop outside. Oh well. I thought of my vacation experience in Cancun and Andalusia, and both have nothing to say about Crimson's excellent service. I intend to stay in this resort for my next visit. read more

Not worth the price. You'd be better off spending that kind of money in Hawaii or Fiji. Boracay in general is pretty nasty. Even at this private beach resort the water is still crawling with trash, seaweed and sea lice. Don't waste your money. There are many other places with clean beaches and sanitary conditions that cost way less than anything on this island. read more

It is very easy to write a five star review when the weather is perfect and the sun is shining. However, you start to separate the top properties when the weather is not perfect and the conditions are less than ideal. Boracay in late July experiences a wide range of weather patterns. From sunny clear skies to monsoon like conditions which we got to experience firsthand during a trip to DMall. Fortunately, crimson had a couple of vans available to help transport their guests out of the torrential downpour. A special thanks to Chris who was the driver that evening. His reassuring demeanor and driving skills need to be commended as he navigated the flooded and dark streets back to the resort. Now the resort itself... It is beautiful. The design of the exterior spaces and rooms are spectacular. From the power blinds to the one touch environmental controls everything is modern and functional. Extra points for all the environmental touches including the use of reusable glass bottles throughout the resort. We had an ocean view suite which came with gorgeous sunset views of the ocean, beach and the main pool. They had a nice gym with a good range of free weights, cardio and strength building equipment. There is also a weekly fitness class schedule which you can join. For the little ones, they offered a game room with PlayStation and Nintendo including a wide range of family oriented board games. There was also an on site library when you just need that extra peace and quiet. The pool and the beach. There are three pools with the largest being next to the white sand beach. There are ample lifeguards around to ensure your safety and the ocean water is warm. Water activities are included with your stay. During our stay, the ocean water was bath tub warm. Food We had breakfast and lunch at Saffron, and lunch and dinner at Azure. Kudos to Ray and Gine at Saffron who went out of their way to serve us including bringing us some towels to dry off when they noticed we had just come in from a small rain storm. The food is varied offering a wide range of local and world cuisine. Azure at dinner has a catch of the day option where they will prepare various seafood to your taste preferences in a variety of cooking methods ranging from grilled to steamed. For the quality and freshness of the food, the prices were quite reasonable. Service Outstanding. Everywhere you go, you are greeted with a smile and hand to the heart gesture. Once you are on the property they will do everything in their power to provide you with comfort and security. Lifeguards are on duty at the main pool until it closes at 10. Third, at the front desk, even drove us to another resort nearby for dinner when there were no other drivers available. Management We had the pleasure of meeting Laurent the general manager. He was very humble and congenial in talking about his hotel and his staff. His years of training at the Shangri-La really show in how he runs the property and trains his staff. We are counting down the days until we can return to this beautiful property and enjoy the real "heart of Boracay." Crimson Hotel Review The Crimson Resort & Spa in Boracay is a beautiful property. With the ocean as the hotel's backyard, you can't help but admire the beauty of the resort and wish your vacation would never end. After my most recent stay, there is no question that Crimson is physically superior on the outside, but what's on the inside is not nearly as great. My reasons for this began during our arrival experience, where we were told our ferry was to be delayed and we would have to take an alternative form of transportation due to the sea conditions. This in itself was understandable, however staff throughout these interactions did not show much empathy despite us having to go through many different forms of transportation before finally arriving at the resort to check in. And when we finally arrived to check in and we mentioned our arrival experience thus far, the Front Desk Agent did not react at all to our story. We then requested a room with a good view but were placed into a room looking at internal construction and trash. Also during the room orientation, the staff member showed us how to open and close the sheers/shades and mentioned she would have someone take a look at our room later as our buttons were not triggering an automatic reaction (had to click and hold each button until sheers/shades fully closed or opened). Later that evening, we went to the poolside restaurant to have dinner. I didn't receive the drink that I ordered and when I mentioned this to the server, he had no reaction. So I simply said to ensure I was not charged for it and moved on. Once we returned to the room, we requested a hair dryer to be delivered to the room. After some time, I happened to hear a voice outside and opened the door, where I found a staff member, with a hair dryer in hand, knocking on the door of the room next door. I convinced him that it was our room that requested this and he eventually gave the hair dryer to us. This all occurred on our arrival date. Throughout the rest of our stay, we faced a myriad of issues. The light outside our door to indicate housekeeping service/DND didn't work, which we reported, but no one ever came to fix it. There was a strong food/trash odor in the foyer right outside our door. When our room was serviced, whoever helped clean the room simply stacked tissue boxes on top of the depleted boxes instead of replacing the old with the new. There were stains on the carpet in the living room, and the rug in our bathroom was frayed. And for some reason every now and then at night, all of the lights and technology in our room would turn off without warning and then turn back on again, almost as if someone hit a reset button on the electricity. This was especially unpleasant for whoever was in the bathroom at these moments. We were told by a hostess at Saffron Cafe that we could order food from the restaurant to be delivered to us on the beach chairs but when we attempted to do this later in the day, the staff members at Saffron Cafe at that time said this was not possible and said we'd have to order takeout instead. While this was disappointing, we did as we were told and ended up waiting close to 45 minutes for 3 burgers and 2 orders of, to be honest, very soggy French fries; this resulted in us missing a lot of the remaining daylight that was left. I think the hardest part to understand was why it took so long to make this order when there were literally no other guests in the restaurant at this time. Lastly, we found out at checkout that there was a 100 Peso charge on our bill that was actually a donation, and that apparently this was automatically charged but we could choose to waive it if we wanted. While I am supportive of donations for certain causes, I felt that charging this donation without the approval of the guest was rather distasteful. This charge was not explained to us at check-in either. With all of that being said, I do want to give a shout-out to the following members of the team: Robert (Lounge), Ghie (FD), John (FD), and Ray (Saffron). These colleagues showcased excellent service, and did contribute some positivity to what otherwise would have been an all-around disappointing stay. All of what we endured during this stay made us rethink why we even chose to stay at this location to begin with. We were offered to attend a cocktail hour of some sort by the manager after disclosing these issues, but that didn't really suit us since none of us really drink so we chose not to attend. And since then, our issues were not acknowledged. It would be great if someone from the hotel could reach out to me to discuss this further as I really don't want this to be my last impression of what should be a brilliant resort. read more

We really enjoyed ourselves during the Crimson soft opening. It's a B - eautiful setting. The beach is (omg) FANTASTIC!!! So so so gorgeous -- white sand, clear water, nice cliffs on either side. And the service is WONderful. Really appreciated the escort to the restaurant. Lunch was very very good (nasi goreng and fish and chips) with a fantastic ocean view as well as refreshing cocktails. Special thanks to Vivian (so sweet) serving us. Drinks were half off at the beach club and we were given access to the rain shower (with warm water) by the pool. Did I mention the great service?
