While we were staring in the Mala Strana, it was just over a mile walk to get to Smichov, having a chance to pass by the Memorial to the Victims of Communism on our walk. Interesting setting and location, would have never found the place if it weren't for Janek, The Honest Guide on You Tube, calling the Eggs Benedict, "legendary." We can vouch for that, the soufflé was amazing looking and tasting. Big enough that my girlfriend could not finish the plate. I opted for the traditional English breakfast. It was a full plate of food that was fantastic! The beans were flavorful, the roasted tomatoes juicy and warm. The sausage AB's bacon cooked perfectly. The string is unique, very artsy in my opinion, combining indoor/outdoor seating. Very open and comfortable, appeared to be many locals taking in a morning coffee or breakfast and working. Amazing place, we enjoy every minute of this experience AB's our food. Highly recommended!

It was a little pricey for the food that we got, but other than that, loved it! Über cute vibes here!

Cafe is located in one of those old small Lesser town houses. It has a cool decoration. Staff is friendly and very nice but communication among them is bad and they are slow. One waiter takes an order and it takes ages to the other one to bring it and when he brings it so there is something missing (like one coffee). The same with meals. One meal was supposed to be ham and egges omelette and they brought ham and eggs. It was good though. Meals are definitely worth stopping by. Menu is not long. They have only few sandwiches, salads and pancakes plus one soup and burger. And breakfast menu (it´s that cursed ham and eggs). But all these items are pretty delicious. Especially burger surprised me. It was huge (it could be actually smaller), pretty good (cheddar was missing) and pretty cheap considering the location. But I didn´t actually expect a good burger here (I was just curious when I ordered it) and voila. Surprise, surprise. Otherwise I also recommend salmon sandwich and dill soup. It was a nice experience to visit this place but I don´t think I will return. There are other places like this one where service works just fine, prices are friendly and quality is also on a high level.

I came for dinner with a reservation, and although the restaurant was quite busy, there was no wait when we arrived. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable about the wine selection and did a great job guiding us toward a bottle that paired well with our meal. The duck was the standout--perfectly crisp on the outside while remaining tender and wonderfully moist inside. The schnitzel, unfortunately, was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it didn't particularly stand out or offer anything unexpected. Overall, it's a lovely spot if you happen to be in the area, especially for the atmosphere but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

Aside from the proprietor, myself and one other customer, this quaint cafe was devoid of other guests. The space is cozy, warm and eclectic, a handful of small tables with space for about a dozen people seated. They carry a handful of different dessert options, mostly cakes and a few pastries and one or two quiches made by the owner herself. Though I really wanted to try one of the cakes, it was before lunch so I ended up going with a meringue and a latte. The cookie was a textbook meringue, light, crisp, beautifully piped. The latte 72 CZK, while not particularly standout, was decent. The owner was kind, sweet and spoke English much better than my unfamiliarity with Czech. If I recall correctly they take cash and card, and a bathroom is available for customers though I didn't use it. There's parking available in a nearby lot though not really recommended to drive, since the entire area is quite touristy by the castle with limited parking.
