Visited the bar last night with a group of friends to watch football…read more First and foremost I thought the prices for such ordinary beer as Carsberg or Tuborg Classic being at 54DKK was a bit too high. Other beers such as Hoegaarden, Newcastle ale were for 60DKK per pint. The interior itself was pretty specious with a lot of TV's and chairs/ couches to sit on. I came to watch a champions league match. There were two games played at the same time but they divided the area into two so everyone could freely enjoy the game they were interested in. There are also pool tables, darts and fussball. All in all a good experience especially for someone wanting to watch sports but the prices were a bit on the high end.

My fiance and I stumbled in because they have 2 pool tables and stayed for 5 hours! The owner is very nice(Saied). He even ordered us a pizza since they have no food. The bar is very basic but feels 'homie' and lived in. There were very few tourists in this 2 story bar. Things got so much cooler when I struck up a conversation with a local(Ebbe) after just asking how you say cheers in Danish (Shkol!). He was super friendly and we talked in perfect English about US and European politics, religion and life. These interactions do NOT happen in the touristy nice areas. This leads me to my next point: this area was considered the bad area of Copenhagen. My fiancé and I felt COMPLETELY comfortable walking the 25 minute walk back to the hotel at 12am so don't let that stop you. There's a bit more graffiti but there are always tons of people walking around. Drinks: I had a Tuborg pint. It tastes very light for a European beer. Similar to Coors Light. My fiancé got a Somersby Apple Ale which was good and not too sweet. All in all, give it a shot and talk to the locals!

Mc Kluud is on Istegade and it is a typical bodega bar/pub. The beer is cheap and there is plenty of room to sit. I can't even remember if there was music on, but there was a good atmosphere. Even on a Tuesday, there were lots of people so I guess it's a bar where you can always go to and there will be people. Perfect for weekdays and for before going out. There was a very mixed crowd from old men to young Danes! Typical bodega crowd! If you re in for some diveyness this is a good place for you!

People were playing dice at the tables and there's a pool table in a back room. It's a cool bar and well worth a visit.

There are a variety of cocktails, from classics to custom creations. I thought my gin and elderflower drink was quite nice, although not anything exceptional. The staff were good about making recommendations as well. Not sure I felt the drinks justified the price--there are quite a few other equally nice options in Copenhagen.
