When you are in a rush to catch a Metro (subway), you aren't always that picky about what to eat…read more In the case of Metro Sushi you are in luck, it's quick, fresh and tasty. The sushi can (usually) be seen in the making. Their small open kitchen is behind the counter, literally just behind it. The place is about the size of a 10' x 10' tent. The owner is typically on site standing at, or near, the cash register and overseeing that the pre-prepared sushi, (mixed trays and by-the-piece) are up to standard. I have not yet tried all the varieties of Maki rolls or Sushi pieces. The ones I have tried have been quite pleasant, especially for the about right prices (in the take out non-sit down, non-table service category). I have to indulge in more of their offerings to really determine any true yum/pow factor. I am also a big fan of their pickled cucumber and carrot platter for about $3 (be careful since it does leak a bit of marinade juice when tipped or can splash when opened. They have a nice selection of Asian canned and bottled beverages. I have gotten a few coconut waters on humid days to replenish fluids. Once in a while I'll even treat myself to a little sweet or jelly dessert. I have noticed the sign for bubble tea, which note-to-self, needs to be tried. I'm starting to crave some sushi, so I better wrap up this review in a seaweed salad - pun obviously intended. When you normally see a rice cooker full and at the ready, that's another good sign. I can't wait to try more of their morsels or plump looking rice paper wrapped sandwiches...

I'm often in the Atwater Metro Station as I work in an office tower connected to the station. When…read moreMetro Sushi first opened I thought to myself 'who'd want to eat sushi in the metro?' After passing by a few times I decided to take a look at what they had to offer and found that it actually looked pretty good. So I decided to give it a try. You should not judge Sushi by its location! Just like Green Eggs and Ham can be tasty in a box with a fox Sushi in the subway can be scrumptious too. I've now eaten here a number of times and the sushi is consistently tasty, fresh and very reasonably priced. I would not necessarily compare this to some of the finer sushi restaurants in town but relative to your typical take out place Metro Sushi is great. If you're thinking of picking something up from Sushi Shop you're much better off here at metro sushi.

I purchased for 2 lunches worth to hit their minimum for delivery and glad that I did! Their won-ton soup is with fried won-tons which adds that much more flavor and texture. Have suggested it to colleagues who have greatly enjoyed their meals as well. Sweet find!

Casa Grecque was pretty empty when I dined here. I was in an Asian tour group and this is where we…read morewere taken for dinner. We ended up towards the back in a large area since there were about 20-30 of us. There isn't too much near this particular location. There is a quality hotel right across the street and the restaurant itself is in a strip mall type complex right beside a police station. Although it is in a bit of a random area, there is a sign out front to easily spot Casa Grecque and there is abundant parking! My mom ordered the fish and I got the bacon-wrapped medallions. Both entrees came with salad, rice, and potato wedges. We were limited in what we were able to order but I was satisfied with the meal. The meat was okay and I enjoyed the sides. I thought the portions were just about the right size. There is a pretty big menu with lots of options - you can choose an individual entree, sides, or sharing platters. If you're in the area (especially if you're just staying across the street at the Quality Hotel) looking for a place this isn't a bad option!

It's not even an authentic Greek restaurant. I have been to many other chain restaurants that were far superior in quality and taste for better prices. I did not even enjoy the meal to actually feel like it was worth spending the money.

Most food delivery services have their bad moments; this place has never forgotten anything in our orders, no unreasonable delays in delivery, never cold food. I've always been happy with what we get. Sometimes the phone service isn't the friendliest, but the delivery person is always nice. I'd recommend to anyone who likes Greek food! The only downside in my opinion is that they don't have Greek-style potatoes; they only have (good) french fries.

I had heard legendary things about Parthenon Souvlaki from their main location on Van Horne. When I…read moreheard that they had opened up a second place on Queen Mary I was thrilled! The ambience of the restaurant is what you'd expect from a small, warm family business and overall the meal tasted delicious! The Tzatziki had lots of garlic and the souvlaki was out-of-this-world. Service was fine and speedy, though not terribly friendly. My friend and I both got the mixed plate (three sticks - one pork, two chicken) which came with a house salad, fries and rice. The portions were very generous for the price ($15 a plate). All of the souvlaki sticks were incredibly tender and juicy, I don't know what they marinate them in, but it's some of the best souvlaki I've ever had in Montreal. The sides were also quite good with fresh crispy vegetables in the salad and very flavourful rice. Other members in our dining party got the Chicken pita and they also found it to be very juicy, tender and packed with flavour. Although we wanted to try the Baklava for dessert, by the time we finished our plates we were far too full. An extra bonus, this place is BYOW / Apportez Votre Vin which helps keep the cost of the meal down. Parthenon is much more reasonably priced than what you'd pay at Arahova or Marathon's and the food is much better. Can't wait to go back and eat there again!
