Stopped in for a coffee and light breakfast bite. It was very close to where we were staying so we decided to give it a try. The moment we walked in we were not acknowledged and appeared to have disrupted her writing. I asked if the back area was non-smoking and she scoffed and said yes. The rear is very neat as far as ambiance, there was also what appeared to look like an old well covered that you could see down into. The rear also smelled of smoke but not as bad as the front area. I ordered a cappuccino and ham and cheese croissant. We received the cappuccino's pretty quickly but the croissant took quite a bit of time, so much time that we were about done with our cappuccino's. We finally received our croissants and found them to be burnt on top, I assume she forgot about them not sure how though since we were the only customers in the cafe at the time. I understand service standards may not be typical to U.S service standards but a little effort would be nice. read more
