Ooo la la! The one is for the books! If you are open to something a little naughty, lively entertainment and don't mind possibly being a small part of the show, I definitely recommend visiting Cafe de Paris! **if you are sitting directly in front of the stage you have a large possibility to be involved, otherwise don't let this detour you. I went with a large group of girls on a Saturday night and was not disappointed! If you are not interested in having dinner but just taking in the show and a glass of Champagne or cocktails, the standing tickets are great. *Tip: show up at 6 when the doors open and you will be able to snag a primo table on the mezzanine. We did and had a close up, fantastic view! The establishment itself has quite the history dating back to prohibition times- check out e website! This is great for large groups for dinner also- I saw several bachelorette (hen) groups, birthday groups and even couples groups. You can check this out solo or in a pair also- if you opt in for dinner you will be seated with others at a large table. Ladies- a fun opportunity to dress glamorously! (Nice dress required) My group decided to go in 1920's theme dress and it made the experience all the better! When you arrive there is a coat check. you can check a bag also with extra shoes- this place turns into a great dancing venue after the show! There are some of the ladies from the show in full dress like take pics with you when you arrive! The show is great with variety of shows- we had an acrobat, burlesque and a very humour out singing duo! (I do believe the acts change to stay fresh so I would do a little research if your looking for something in particular) An unexpected bonus for me was how fun Cafe de Paris was AFTER the show also. Immediately after the show you can ascend into the "VIP" club which is a smaller area with a bar, a small dance floor and a bedroom boudoir themed sitting area! It was a blast for the girls- we headed down quickly and snagged two large tasseled chaise/couches! We had a few cocktails and danced in both the main area near the stage and the smaller room. I was very happy to hear fun, throw back 2000's music along with new music. I don't dance often but when I do... Let's just say my heels stayed on for a few more hours dancing! I have a marvellous time I would definitely go back!

Dress up and show up! It's another world!

What an experience. I took my mom here to celebrate her birthday, she worked there MANY years ago when it was an afternoon tea dance. She traveled back in time and enjoyed every second of the cabaret. It was breathtaking and spectacular. We will be visiting again when we are back in London. I wasn't sure what to expect based on the mixed reviews but this was definitely a must see and I can't wait to go back again. The ending was truly remarkable and we all danced the night away!

Pretty cool place with reasonable drink prices for being so central. Went on a Friday and they had some great performances. It doesn't start getting busy on the dance floor until about 11:30 pm. The nachos are off the hook--try them!

This is a very peculiar place. On a Friday and Saturday night it looks and feels like many other clubs in the same area, it plays the same music, it charges the same extortionate fees for drinks, it generally spits in your face. Quite a popular place with celebs apparently, Lindsay Lohan has a party there this Saturday, woo...hoo... The rest of the week the place is transformed into a high-class coporate or party venue keeping the rest of the riff-raff out on the pavement. The whole thing just screams cheesy, with lots of velvet all over the place it feels like the foyer is some overtly swanky hotel. Not my scene, this place offers nothing new and exciting, it jsut looks quite posh and hollow.

The Cafe de Paris, is one of the most famous and durable venues in the world. With a glittering history, spanning nine decades, the Cafe has consistently played host to a wide variety of powerful and absorbing performers and guests-members of the aristocracy, eminent political figures, royalty, dazzling pop stars, captains of industry, superstars from the silver screen. Opening its doors in 1924 the Cafe de Paris quickly established itself as one of Europe's premier nightspots. Much of the early success was due to a visit from the Prince of Wales, who became a regular guest bringing with him the crme de la crme of European society. Much of the early success was due to a visit from the Prince of Wales, who after an impromptu midweek visit became a regular guest bringing with him the crème de la crème of European society. In 1939 the Café was allowed to stay open even though theatres and cinemas were closed by order. People gossiped their way through the blackout and the Café was advertised as a safe haven by Martin Poulson, the maitre d', who argued that the four solid storeys of masonry above were ample protection. This tragically proved to be untrue. On March 8th 1941 when two 50K landmines came through the Rialto roof straight onto the Cafe dance floor; eighty people were killed, including Ken 'Snakehips' Johnston who was performing onstage at the time. Ballard Berkeley (who later played the Major in Fawlty Towers) was a PC constable first on the scene who was shocked by the bodies, many unmarked at their chairs, and looters cutting ring fingers off corpses. The Cafe De Paris re-opened in 1948. Frank Sinatra rubbed shoulders with Tony Hancock, Eartha Kitt with Spike Milligan, Grace Kelly with Noel Coward. Anyone who was anyone was seen at the Cafe. When Puff Daddy wished to celebrate the European release of his new album - when Sony wished to celebrate 20 years of the Walkman - Prince wanted to throw a secret gig for the elite few - he got on stage at the Cafe. From the James Bond party to the Vivienne Westwood catwalk show to the Spice Girls party to Lennox Lewis celebrating his world titles. The re-modelling of the VIP rooms in 2004 included decadent drapes, an Alice in Wonderland red velvet padded corridor and 7 huge red velvet beds. Stars such as Christian Slater, Kelis and the ubiquitous Calum Best were swift to test the bedsprings! You pretty much need to be on a guest list to get in but it isn't impossible.

The place looks great, but incredibly overpriced and the atmosphere does not make up for the ridiculous overcharging

Shitty expensive drinks and rude waitstaff. Smells weird and does not facilitate anything close to a fun experience.

Very old school building, it definitively has a decadent cabaret feel to it :) A little naughty, loads of fun, dark and shabby -- but in a nice way.

Drinks are on special until 8pm. Seating for dinner isn't until 8:30ish. Cocktail list is extensive and fun, and come in lovely cut-crystal glassware. We did the dinner & show ticket. We were really hungry as food didnt start until 9pm. Starters were decent, but the main vegetarian course (risotto) was like a bowl of bland soupy rice. I didn't eat more than 3 bites of it. Dessert was cheesecake and good. There are performances throughout the night, and not a bad table in the house. If you just get the "show" ticket, you will be on tall stools in the back. There was a lot of great dancing, some arial acts, and a seriously impressive magician. There were also some drunken hen parties adding to the entertainment- it was impressive how the staff kept them from disrupting things. Afterward, there was a dj in the lounge to keep the party going. Despite the terrible main course, I still thought it was a really fun night out.

Typically I prefer my Italian restaurants to go in the direction of red and white checkered…read moretableclothed casual affairs, garish faux Renaissance marble sculptured settings, or Rat Pack-style cabaret, but not all three simultaneously. And yet Bunga Bunga unabashedly mashes all corners of the Italian stereotype spectrum into one entertaining, self-aware, low-brow night out in Londontown. We came here with a big group, which is probably the only way to sufficiently benefit from Bunga Bunga's basement amusements. In addition to the aforementioned intentional miscellany, the bar in the back sported wood paneling and served tiki glasses in the likenesses of Don Corelone, Julius Caesar, Mario Balotelli, and Silvio Berlusconi (whose infamous sex parties seemingly inspired the restaurant name), as we gathered for welcome drinks and got our first taste of this place's quirkiness. We were then seated at a long table, under tacky track lighting and suddenly surrounded by a singing and dancing and clapping wait staff. (You know the awkward, anxious vibe of not knowing what these extroverts are about to drag you into next, and the concurrent regret of not having enough tiki drinks prior to this point to withstand it.) The food, antipasto and pizzas and the like served family style, was secondary to Bunga Bunga's entertainment angle, the various cured meats being the most memorable offering. And as we forked bresaola and coppa into our mouths, an old timey curtain was drawn back to reveal The Bunga Boys, a talented five-piece house band with a lounge lizard twist on oldies and modern pop. Post-dinner serenading and entertaining, the stage area was transformed into a karaoke room, complete with a dinghy for you and your crew to wait for your turn at the mic, plus all the nautical props your maritime heart could hope for as you dance in circles with a captain's hat and life vest and drunkenly stop wondering where the hell you are and just shamelessly embrace it all. I hear they have a Matinee Brunch, and that definitely feels like the right time for this brand of entertainment - cheesy, lighthearted, innocent, and unpretentious, where you have little responsibility other than to show up and have a good time. And did I have a good time, you ask? Absolutely. Would I do it again? Well, let's not get carried way. Once is probably enough for the full Bunga Bunga experience....

A few weeks back I got the opportunity to attend and I jumped at the opportunity. I have to admit that this was one of the best brunches that I have ever been to! I literally had the best time of my life! If you read on, you will find out why... From the moment, you enter Bunga Bunga, the staff becomes super secretive, I was taken through a back door and down a set of stairs, which leads to the main dining area. I was a little apprehensive at first, my initial thoughts were 'Where the hell are they taking me?' but I also thought this was apart of the whole theatrics. You see, the entertainment is Italian mob style, similar to popular films like the Godfather or the Italian job. The brunch starts with warm Brioche bread, served with Burrata and homemade tomato jam. The Brioche is very dewy and sweet, which makes it sit perfectly with the tomato jam. I finished the jam in 5 minutes flat and did the shameless action of asking for more tomato jam and Brioche as if my name was Oliver twist-Embarrassing much! However, for me, the combination was just so moreish! The antipasto was secondly presented, which is Bresaola, Coppa, Mortadella, and Finocchiona Salami. I still had some leftover tomato jam and brioche so I paired this together. Before I could even tuck into the metro pizza, I was alerted by the sounds of cop sirens, the entertainment had begun again. An Italian couple graced the stage as the new scene began. Running from the cops, the couple encouraged and advised us to drink up the prosecco, as it may be the last thing we were drinking as the cops were around the corner. After a few minutes of chatter, the couple then broke into a melody rendition of 'Anything you can do, I can do better.' What I loved was the rest of the diners also started singing along. I guess the cops were tailing onto the couple as they ran off the stage and I began to tuck into my pizza. The brunch metro pizza is one metre long with three different toppings. I glared at the pizza in utter shock! One metre of pizza! Luckily, my friend was here to help me devour the pizza! The topping choices are as followed; -Tuscan sausage, tomato, mozzarella, pancetta and a baked egg. -Quattro for Maggi: Mozzarella, Gorgonzola, Taleggio, and Parmesan -Mozzarella, Spinach, and Stracchino cream I opted for the vegan cheese and the removal of the egg due to my dairy allergies and for all you veggie and vegan lovers, you will be happy to learn that there are vegetarian and vegan options. My favourite topping was the Tuscan sausage options as the sausage is well cooked and tasty, overall the pizza has a dewy texture but I do think this was due to the vegan cheese. What to drink? The brunch comes complete with 2 hours of bottomless prosecco and Bellini, but my advice is to drink fast as those 2 hours do fly by. I choose to go with the Bellini, as they are an absolute fruity dream and pair nicely with the brunch menu. Lastly, there is the Drunken Espresso Tiramisu, however, I opted out of due to my allergies. Overall, this is one of the best brunches, I have ever attended in London, although I am not a huge fan of Italian food (Only due to the fact most Italian dishes predominately contain milk and cheese, which I have allergies for) the entertainment makes the brunch worthwhile. After two whole hours of Bellini drinking, I somehow got nominated by my guest and ended up on stage singing Valerie by Amy Winehouse; oh, did I forget to mention that there is karaoke and live music after the brunch, where you or your guest can nominate diners to sing. Oh, and please note, and if you sing badly the hosts and entertainers will sing over you, and that is your cue to leave the stage, thankfully this did not happen to me! Price: ££ (£44 per person) What to wear: Casual (I wore a leather jacket, cashmere jumper, and trainers) Ambience: Traditional Italian themed restaurant with live entertainment and karaoke

By immersing the performance in and amongst the audience, characters entice those around them to follow their story, encouraging the audience to choose their own adventure. UnCorked is defined by a cast of authentically powerful entertainers. Together they are dedicated to creating captivating productions. They are consistently pushing the social and creative boundaries of jazz and live theatre, leaving their audience feeling nothing short of alive. I went along to their production "How to Solve a Problem Like Murder" which was held in the pub Paradise By Way Of Kensal Green. The event was being held upstairs of the establishment. Me and my friend was handed a envelope with a mask to wear, pen, suspect page and note page. We was the both led up the stairs by a boy and girl (well two adults pretending to be children) and then we entered a room where there was some performing half naked sexy dancing ladies who were part of the whole act / story. I cant say much about the story as don't want to give anything away but basically there is affairs going on between the whole group of woman and the men so many arguments happen but the best part was that the dancing that the ladies and men do throughout the show there was about 6 different dances throughout the night. The boy and girl guides you to important pieces of info throughout the night and also whilst going around listening and watching the acting taking place you have to be quite which is good as does not spoil what is going on and can take in more what is going on. Also the difference with this murder mystery is that you had to solve who was going to be murdered and who was the killer so unique in that respect. I got the killer right and my friend got who would be murdered correctly. However even though we got them right we did not get a prize just a slip of paper with a saying on it so that was a tad disappointing and also we could not even keep the masks which i think is quite unhygienic to give back for them to reuse again and its not even like the masks were expensive they were cheap. However well worth the money as the acting by all was superb and a great plot the best murder mystery I have ever done and so different. So don't miss out and book your murder mystery with Uncorked productions today. Tickets have already sold out for most dates so get booking fast.
