Evidently there's another local in NYC, but here, Cones is known by many to have some of the best I've cream in the city. We've had some other ice cream from around the city, so the wife and I were excited to they Cones. They've got some interesting flavors, if corn and beets are your thing, but for us we both played it relatively safe. I got a scoop of mascarpone fuites de bois and cinnamon honey, while the wife also got the cinnamon honey and dulce de leche. I thought the mascarpone flavour was rather bland with not much fruit nor creaminess, but the wife and I both agreed the cinnamon honey packed great flavor. I was also lucky enough to try a spoonful of the wife's dulce de leche, and it might have been the best flavour of the three. Is this ice cream going to knock you out and blow your socks off? I don't know. Is it pretty good and delicious on a hot day? You betcha.
