Beware of the name. It sounds Japanese, but it is not. At Kawa you can have some ice cream and crepes, as well as some dishes at lunch time.
I came here with a friend on a very sunny and warm day to have some crepes. We decided to sit outside given the great weather, although you're only looking at cars driving by, as you're sitting next to the very busy boulevard and there's really nothing to watch in the area. But we still wanted to enjoy the sun.
So, we ordered our lunch crepes (salty ones) with some cider, served in the traditional bowl of cider. The crepes were good, but nothing to wow about. As for the cider, it was nice to be sipping it under the sun. Then came the time for us to order our dessert crepes. When the waiter (and looked like the owner as well) came to take our order, he wanted to take our bowls of cider away, although we hadn't finished them yet. When we told him, he just snapped at us saying that we should drink it faster, because it's bad to let the cider become warmer. Excuse us??? That just destroyed our whole lunch. We still had our dessert crepes, but we didn't enjoy them anymore.
Even though, the lunch wasn't that bad, this kind of attitude just throws me off. And therefore, for me, it just deserves a 1-star, and only because you have to give at least 1 star. read more
