Great little, VERY reasonably priced take-out pizzeria just steps (up the hill) from Napoli's…read moreinfamous Toledo Metro station. I was staying in a room in an Airbnb palazzo (palace) just up the street, feeling a bit out of sorts (mild cold) for a couple days, I needed nourishment Napolitano style ... PIZZA! They also have sandwiches (panini), salads (insalate), and deep-fried Neapolitan delights (frittura Napoletana) such as crocchè (potato croquettes), sciurilli (zucchini flowers), scagliozzi (polenta slices), pasta cresciute (fried bread dough) and zeppole (fried bread dough with algae - sounds disgusting, but they are great). Their prices are very low (€4.50 for a Margherita and salame - salami to you Yanks - pizza) and the pizza quality high, meaning Pizzeria 400 Gradi is a definite TravelValue ... HOOAH! If coming from the Toledo Metro, take the steps to the right as you exit toward Via Toledo and straight ahead (less than 50 yards) the Via Toledo pedestrian zone comes to an end. The narrow cobblestone street to your left is Via Concezione a Montecalvario. Head up the hill past the first two side streets (about 100 yards/meters) and on the left, just before a small piazza leading up the hill to your right (toward Via Francesco Girardi), you will find 400 Gradi on your left. They are open during lunch and again around 6PM (until late - midnight or later), so you will not even know it is there unless they are open because there is no exterior signage. If you are in the mood for fast, fresh, pizza Napolitana made with quality ingredients and at an extremely reasonable price, this is the place for you. There are three small covered tables adjacent on the side street next to the shop, so plan on a wait or take away to enjoy elsewhere. This is probably the BEST PIZZA VALUE in Naples ... and I have eaten a shitload of pizzas in Naples. CombatCritic Gives Pizzeria 400 Gradi 10 Bombs Out Of 10 ... More Bombs Are Better!

Gran Caffè Gambrinus is a must-visit if you're in Naples. Open since 1860--before Naples was even…read moreofficially part of a unified Italy--the historic cafe has been serving guests for more than 165 years and has welcomed everyone from artists and writers to politicians and royalty. The beautifully preserved interior, with its marble, chandeliers, frescoes, and ornate details, is reason enough to stop in. We visited later in the evening and were pleasantly surprised to find no line or wait. It was a bit confusing at first. There's a few different areas to order and a separate line/section if you want to dine-in. We dined in and got seated at a table right away, but I imagine it's much busier during the day/peak hours. Though there is plenty of seating inside and outside. We ordered a variety of pastries, including the maritozzo con la panna, a sampler platter, sfogliatella, and the famous Delizia al Limone. The Delizia al Limone was what I ordered and was light, fresh, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. The lemon flavor was perfect and I was perfectly happy with my choice. The menu also includes coffee, espresso, cocktails, sandwiches, and other light bites. What impressed me most was how affordable everything was, especially considering the stunning setting and the café's reputation. I am from Hawaii though where everything is twice the price, so that may be subjective. While takeout is available, I'd recommend dining inside if you have the time. The atmosphere is part of the experience, and it's worth slowing down to appreciate the history and beautiful art inside their historic walls. Gran Caffè Gambrinus is absolutely worth adding to your Naples itinerary. Between the rich history, beautiful interiors, delicious pastries, and surprisingly reasonable prices, it's easy to see why it has remained one of Naples' most beloved institutions for well over a century.

A 3.5 star experience for me at this very busy & definitely a tourist attraction of course (that's…read morewhy we were there ;P) on this famous 19th-century historic café. We stopped by for an afternoon pick-me-up and drinks. The wait for indoor seating was longer, so we opted for the covered patio with a shorter wait. I walked in to tour around and took a peek in the dinning room, It's totally 2 different vibes from the grand interiors inside (like Angelina in Paris) vs casual outdoor patio which offers a front-row view of bustling Piazza Trieste e Trento. We had a nice time to wind down sipping Aperol Spritz along with the complimentary snacks and people watching.
