History

Established in 1994.

1994:Gründung das Familienunternehmen ITAL.GASTRO-Bedarf in Berlin. Anfangs mit Gastronomie- und Küchenartikel. 1995:Nach vielen Kundenanfragen bezüglich gutem Espresso-Kaffee entschloss sich die Familie Di Massa nach Italien zu reisen und eine geeignete Kaffeerösterei zu finden, die in Qualität, Produktvielfalt und Engagement den hohen Ansprüchen gerecht wird. Im selben Jahr wurden dann die ersten Paletten Caffè Mokambo® importiert. 1996/1997: Erwerb für alleinigem Exklusivimport für sämtliche Caffè Mokambo® Produkte/ Erwerb für alleinigen Exklusivimport in Verbindung mit Service und Gewährleistungpflicht für den Vertrieb der LaFaimac® Espressomaschinen & Zubehörprodukte. 2000: Gründung der Gesellschaftsform Di Massa & Sohn GbR - Caffè Mokambo Berlin und Umzug in größere Geschäfträumlichkeiten 2001: Produkterweiterung durch Haushaltsgeräte und Vergrößerung der Auswahl an Zubehör. 2002: Erweiterung des Vertriebs mit Caffè Mokambo® Produkten für Brandenburg.

The most pathetic service I have ever had and I come from a country with bad service!!!…read moreI can speak German, but I cannot moan effectively in German, so this is in English!! We personally took in our Jura coffee machine for repairs at the end of last year. It took 3 weeks and not one week. We were never phoned, always had to phone them. The rudest receptionist! The original problem seemed to be fixed and then 2 weeks later it started only working now and then and giving all sorts of different error messages. So we took it back in January. Same incompetent receiptionist. And they're always terribly busy, so can only look at your machine after a week (don't look very busy to me!!) So after 2 weeks I phone again (no one contacted us). They only looked at the tray that was stuck and I had to explain AGAIN all that was wrong (This time I think I spoke to the manager, I think, and he couldnt understand why I was so upset with them????) So then after 3 weeks I phone AGAIN and they said the machine had been ready for 3 days already, but NO-ONE phoned to notify us. So we fetched it and lo and behold - now it doesn't work AT ALL. So somehow they managed to break a machine while trying to fix a small thing. After all the bad reviews I cannot understand how they can still operate!! I am HIGHLY disappointed with their service and will probably have to pay some other company to fix what they messed up!!! (Probably no hope of getting our money back)
