In the mood for greasy and fried? This is your place! Holland Chips has all sorts of fried goodness…read morebut I only went for have the chips (fries). They come in small, medium and large and the portions are incredibly generous, especially for the price. You can choose a variety of sauces to top your fries but watch out, they really lay it on thick. If you've been strolling around Florence all day like I have and jonesing for something deep fried, make a stop here and embrace your inner fatty patty! You deserve it.

What's to say about another McDonald's? The one thing you can say is: you'll always feel at home…read moresomehow. You always get exactly what you know and that's what you expect. This location is different in that way that it offers a few other eateries since we are on the huge car and truck gas station facility. That also means you can find all the other knick knacks and other little things and gadgets that you need because you forgot to take them with you from home. Books, DVDs, phone chargers, and the like present themselves to you in an almost trashy form. But hey, I'm off track and not really rating the McDonald's anymore. But again, we know that one already, right? Oh and I almost forgot, free Wi-Fi! Enjoy your trip ;-)

Oh my goodness, this was another tour guide recommendation…read more It was just AWFUL. This is also a big tourist trap. They charge you €2 per person for the silverware, then charge you €0.50 for a spoon full of ketchup. We each had a container of fries to go with our sandwiches, so one small thing of ketchup was not nearly enough. Obviously, we ordered more, hoping they'd bring us a ketchup bottle. Nope, because they were charging for the ketchup, we didn't see that till the bill came. My daughter had the cheeseburger. According to her, she has never eaten such a dry, crunchy burger in her life. Obviously, she didn't finish because it was hard to get down. As for me, I tried the recommendation of the tour guide. Big mistake! The classic Florentine sandwich, the Lampredotto. I should've known better, but I'm willing to try anything once. It was a chew, tasteless, slimy sandwich. You can't eat it like a sandwich because it's so wet and soggy that it falls apart. You need a knife and fork. You needed the ketchup that they gave up by the spoonful, and still, it was tasteless. This is not a place I recommend to anyone. If you're used to eating juicy burgers, this is not the place for you.
