Stopped for a quick coffee. Nice little (big) place - seems like a coffee shop and the front room is a perfect coffee place. But they have a full restaurant at the rear and plenty of seating outside. Family ordered an assortment of coffees and teas. All were well done. Off hours and the crowd was light. The waitress was very attentive. Is it possible to give a business no star on a review? Because this one really deserve that. I've been going to this café for many years and had succulent meals, coffee and deserts. Well now that things are back to normal, it is not the case anymore. I've been there three time so far since the spring. The first time was for coffee. The place was pretty empty, I ordered a cappuccino. It took a fair amount of time to get it. Ok, I give it to you that it's not the kind of coffee that you immediately pour in a cup, but that are some limit. The second time I went, I wanted a beer, I said so to hostess, I was seated and given the drink menu. When the server finally came to take my order, she informed me that they couldn't alcohol alone. That I had to eat. Why wasn't I informed of that when I walked in? It would have been easier instead of arguing with the waitress. Last Sunday, I was back. I wanted to have some sort of breakfast. I walked inside not wanting to sit on the patio. It took over 15 minutes to have the hostess come to me. I was finally sit and again, I had to wait for a waitress for a period that is more than what is really required. She asked me if I wanted to start with something to drink. I said yes, gave her my order for a cappuccino and she disappeared. About 20 minutes later, she comes back with my coffee and to take my order. I give her my order and 30 minutes after giving my order, I still haven't received it. By that time, my coffee was done so I left money on the table for the coffee and I left. I would gave her the benefit of the doubt thinking that she is new. But this was the end of the lunch time and this is the same type of service I received on prior visits. We were in Orford dropping off a family member at the Arts Centre. Took a drive through Magog to see what it was about. Saw an interesting looking patio and decided to stop and give it a try. Got coffee and this amazing looking layered chocolate cake. Alone, the cake would have been pretty standard - but they put a strawberry preserve on it that makes it amazing. Enjoyed the patio, the coffee and the cake (which was huge - 5 layers - about 6 inches tall). Staff were great! Sounds like it's a great place for wine and dinner too - lovely indoor space. We stopped there asking for directions on a rainy day, one day of spring, and decided to grab a coffee or two for the road. The good: Nice looking place. Limited seating but always a place available. Good coffee. Nice looking desserts. The bad: VERY expensive, more than Starbucks. Young staff that are okay, but not much on customer service. Entrance small and can get congested while waiting for coffee. Place is very loud. Although the coffee is good, the place itself was very loud and had families there with screaming which made it louder. We stopped here for a swift lunch after browsing the shops in Magog. It's a large sports-type bar with extensive outdoor terrace seating under canvas parasols in the summer. The food is pretty standard cafe fare - we had paninis that came with a huge salad portion and did their job of filling a hole. The staff were friendly enough although we did have a bit of trouble understanding the thick Quebecois accent of our waitress as she tried to ask us if we had a loyalty card. Almost all cakes identical with add some flavour (strawberry, chocolate, etc). The best one is the Carrot I think. The slice of cake is pretty big... if you are trying to keep yourself in good shape, one slice will be enough for two persons. I didn't try the coffee but cappuccino was good. I know it's COVID but they sat us in the overflow area with no light. Service was exceedingly slow and the food was terrible. The "pizza" was... interesting. The "crust" was... abysmal. I know it's a tourist town in the summer - but it was overpriced. Just stay away. read more

This place is much bigger than it appears from the outside. In the summer you can enjoy the outside with live music on the weekends and on those colder or rainy nights you have plenty of room inside. They have many choices of pizza and their desserts are absolutely delicious. Nice full bar with good ambiance , service is good and the prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area. read more

Stopped here for a cafe while exploring around Magog. More like a bar (us style) than a cafe. Cappuccino was fair, smoothie was ok, got chocolate was yummy. Fantastique spot! Summer or winter.... Big menu, with high quality food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, lots of options. Maybe it is 4 star food - but the entertainment gets it 5 stars. High quality musicians, good sound, cozy ambiance. Even singer-guitariste Mike Goudreau, with his comforting and super high quality music, make us come back often!! read more

My husband and I visited Caffuccino for breakfast during our holiday stay in Magog. Sunday and Monday, we had excellent service and the coffee was wonderful. Today, the two servers were disinterested in offering coffee or water refills and ignored us when we asked for coffee and our check. We won't be back. There are too many other coffee shops to go to in town. read more
