They had coffee for sale that serves anyone! I had an Affogato, which was soft serve ice cream with a shot over it, and it was just absolute heaven! There were tables inside and outside, and a bar that we sat at. It was just so lovely. They also had a turbo oven, so the sandwiches were nice and hot. Great stop close to the highway and Bromont.

One of the main things I wanted to do while visiting my sister in Knowlton was to visit the Café…read moreThree Pines which I had the privilege of visiting with one of my sister's friends. The café is located underneath the Brome Lake Bookstore and can be accessed via the outside or through the bookstore itself. For those of you are familiar with Louise Penny, brilliant author of the Inspector Gamache series, you'll feel right at home in Three Pines as you enter this cozy space. If you look hard enough you just might see Gabri or Olivier, or even Ms Penny herself. When you walk over to the counter, you'll be greeted by one of the lovely staff and then your eyes will be drawn to the menu, and the heavenly aroma of baked goods and freshly brewed coffee. To your right is a station with napkins and cream for your coffee, and don't forget to look up at the container of jelly beans with paper muffin cups alongside, in case your sweet tooth doesn't get sated enough. I forgot to ask why there weren't any licorice pipes but I'm thinking they're not easy to find anymore. Lots of cozy sofas and chairs dot the café so you can enjoy your goodies, and a couple of "fireplaces" on either side of the space adds to the warmth of the atmosphere, although they don't generate real warmth unless you use your imagination. I will be back again before leaving town just because it brings Three Pines to life and there's always that possibility Louise Penny will drop by. PS Everyone in the café and bookstore are bilingual (French & English) as are the books sold upstairs

I needed a quick afternoon pick me up and am glad I opted for Café Hubert Saint-Jean. The…read moreunassuming exterior advertises it as a wine bar with smaller lettering advertising coffee, but upon entering I realized quickly that it was mostly a coffee shop that also served wine. I was immediately surprised by the larger-than-expected space, with the ordering counter at the front and a generous seating area and patio behind. If I hadn't been in a rush, I would have stayed to enjoy the ambiance. But to business. I ordered a cortado with oat milk to go. The staff was very friendly and kind. While I waited I looked at the many coffees for sale. It looked like they roasted their own beans, with many single origin options. The barista accidentally made my drink in a ceramic mug to stay, but when I mentioned it was to go, but that it would be fine to just pour my coffee in a to go cup, she said it would be no problem and remade my drink quickly. I very much appreciated having a fresh espresso drink, which was a floral light roast and very good. I'll be back with the Tall Man!

This is the second shop in Granby but the first I visit…read more It's small and cute in a old very rustic house right on the main street. With the double door, it feels like entering someone's place, maybe like visiting a friend's house. They are very friendly, I was greeted the moment I entered with the most gracious smile from the barista. The seated places are limited and the sockets even more. There's even old plugs that isn't compatible. The sun was shining right through the front window which felt really nice but I could't see my computer. Maybe the places in front of it are not the best suited for someone working on a computer. I ordered a Macchiato which I enjoyed. The cup was warmed up and felt so good during the very cold, freezing day. There was all kinds of treats on the counter, cookies, brownies and stuff which all seemed so decadent and delicious. I believe they are homemade. They also have paninis, soups and stuff. I will definitely go back to try them as the place smelled amazing the whole time I was there. It's really nice to have a decent and pleasant coffee joint in Granby.
