I received my order after 40 minutes. I mentioned how I was told it would only be 20 minutes and a male staff member denied that I was told that. Got home, I'm only 5 minutes away from the restaurant, and the special fried rice was cold and tasted bland. The chicken was cooked well and so was the Mongolian beef. whilst I was waiting at the restaurant, I noticed their carpet needed a vacuum badly and the customer service was not that great. I will never buy from there again or recommend anyone else to. A very poor and dishonest service.

Decided to take a trip down memory lane and visit Pearl Garden…read more... very disappointed! After being seated I looked around to find so much dirt and neglect. Seated at the table right by the cash register, I could see on the floor, leaves! Leaves that had probably come in with the wind as customers walked- leaves tangled up,with the electric cords attached to cash register. Then I noticed the 4 plants in pots - dying, thick dust over them and dust I could write my name in on the wooden decorative edging below the plants. The mirror on the far wall was- you guessed it - filthy! with smeared wipe marks all over it. The veges and beancurd I ordered came with oyster sauce..I asked could it be changed to curry, no problem he said, except when it arrived I think they forgot the curry! My friend enjoyed her Mongolian Beef, but not the dirt and dust around us The service was prompt and with a smile, but I doubt that I and my friend will ever return.

Pretty thrilled to have such an awesome place so close to my home!…read more Traffik is bright and full of great food you can get fast. All of the employees are cheerful and kind, happy to explain anything on the menu and give recommendations. More than just your average pita place, when you go up to order you'll notice that their display cabinet is also packed full of delicious pastries, from baclava to gluten free cakes. The only savoury food I've ever ordered is their falafel pita, which is pretty addictive. It comes in a small and large size, and I've always found that the smaller one is enough of a meal for me! It comes stuffed with chopped salad, sauce and pickles in a warm pita, and it's the perfect meal to grab on the walk home from the train station. The baclava is also absolutely delicious, and really hits the spot after the salty crunch of the felafel. If you're not sure what to order don't be scared to ask the staff what they like! They're always happy to tell you what the most popular meal is, as well as their favourite pastry of the day. You can grab some food to go or hang around, there's no shortage of seats indoors and outside. Last time I was there they were only accepting cash, so it's safe to assume that Traffik is currently a cash only establishment. Swing by next time you're in Windsor, you won't be disappointed!

Try the beef pocket with chili and a side of their seasoned chips - yummy!! The only (minor) downside is that you have wait for your order, which is great on one side as it means that your meal is being freshly prepared, however if you walk in there with your gastric juices already following, then that 10min wait can seem like a lifetime...! Would highly recommend! :)

It is actually a chain. There are other Claypot Kings elsewhere in the greater Melbourne area. The menu is large for a food stall in a shopping court, but small for a sit down Chinese place. As you can guess - claypots are the order of the day. Claypot restaurants generally do soup as well. I had a dried scallop, winter melon, chicken herbal health soup. If you think Jewish chicken soup will make you healthy, (and Jewish chicken soup really does work), Chinese herbal health soup will make you even more healthy healthy. It is lighter, more refreshing, and just as nourishing. It has Chinese healing vegetables to boot. Even though the soup was light and mostly broth, The solid ingredients were delightful and fascinating. The shiitake mushrooms were powerful and flavorful. Dried scallops aren't as good as scallop scallops, but they had their charms. Winter melon is to fill you up and is a background player. There were various herbal bites I could not identify. The chicken stock was light as Chinese chicken stocks tend to be. This was no French double consomme. The chicken was chopped the Chinese way. (Take cleaver. Whack chicken randomly. Throw all the fragments, mis-formed or not, back into the soup. Go off and do something else.) Chinese chicken chopping is not one of the magical attractions of Asian cuisine. But the soup was absolutely positively divine. I noticed while waiting for my soup that the claypots coming out of the kitchen looked outstanding. I would love to have another thirty-eight dishes from the great Claypot King-dom.

This place is one step up from fast food/kebab shop and one step down from actual sit-down…read morerestaurant. Which makes for a bit of an odd vibe, because it's super super casual but still pleasant enough to sit down and linger over a meal. This was especially noticeable when we went, because we arrived quite late (after 10pm). Your typical fast-food or kebab shop would be filled with dirty wrappers and the usual drunken riffraff (no judgment here -- I've often been part of that drunken riffraff!) But instead, at I Love Instanbul after 10pm, we found the diners consisted of two quiet couples and a large group of well-dressed Sikhs. So not your standard late-night food-grab type of place. They have your typical variety of kebabs, HSPs, and boreks. There's also a huge display case filled with yummy rice dishes and things like potato salad and chickpea salad. There's also a variety of dips. Staff knows what "vegan" means and can advise you on what to get. She told me almost everything that was vegetarian in the display case was also vegan, with the exception of the potato and feta patties and anything with garlic cream sauce. They have a few vegetarian platters that look nice, but you'd need to confirm if the tabbouleh contains a yoghurt sauce -- I didn't order it so I didn't check, and sometimes they do. They are known for their boreks here. They have three vegetarian boreks, but only one of them (potato and spinach) is vegan. Interestingly, the lady behind the counter told me that they didn't make too many of the vegan boreks in the past because there wasn't enough demand, but now there are so many people wanting vegan food that they actually can't make enough to meet the demand! They had run out when we got there. (Fair enough, it was pretty late.) So instead, we shared a smorgasboard of things from the display case: cabbage rolls, bulgur rice, chickpea salad, potato salad, and dolmas. It worked out to be a lot of filling food for a reasonable price (around $15 each). The flavours were nice but the food definitely didn't taste super-fresh (which is understandable given how late we got there!) I bet if you go at lunchtime, it would taste a lot fresher. They also have a variety of gluten-free options. Service was really nice -- both of the staff members were super friendly and went out of their way to answer our questions and accommodate us (and even brought out extra plates and extra water for us periodically, which felt like table service even though I'm not sure this place is really a table service place). The place was clean and comfortable, brightly lit, but not much by way of atmosphere. But there was a nod to hipsterism with an ancient sit-down video game console in the corner with old-school games like Pac-Man and stuff. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area and wanting some filling, reasonably priced Middle Eastern food.

This spot is no secret to locals, I've walked past on many a night to see a packed footpath of diners on an otherwise dead-quiet Bank St. Thankfully they offer take away if you can't nab a table or if you would simply prefer the comfort of a couch and stretchy pants when devouring carbs like they're going out of fashion.
