These guys are awesome... I was visiting my sister in Sydney Australia, all the way from Phoenix…read moreArizona, and have heated of these guys but never seen them, so they were in Lidcomb (I think) one weekend in June (freezing cold) and we went and saw them. They know how to put up a show. Lines were long and it was worth it. We get out order in and the guys are nice, friendly, with a huge smile and huge beards (just like me). They sing and dance and and bake our favorite middle eastern desert "knafeh". Now the food....I've never had Jerusalem style Knafeh, I've had of course the Armenian style called (ghadayef) also the Egyptian style which is called (basboosa) and the Jordanian and Lebanese style. I know some may say they're different but in many ways (to me) the idea is the same. This type of knafeh I had was a very good knafeh, for a food truck baking it fast, but it wasn't the best. Still we went back the next day, we got some more and their tea that they prepare omg is so good. Go for the dance, the atmosphere, the fun times, and also the knafeh. It's really good. Can't wait to come back to Sydney and Experience them again. May be they should come to Phoenix. #TheBeardedArmenian

Can we all agree that it's an outdoor family club that serves delicious dessert!?…read more I came here on a Saturday night, and holy what a scene! It was packed with people waiting in line, eating and simply there enjoying the music and entertainment. These long bearded men know how to throw a party. The music was loud, all the workers were dancing as well as the crowd that was around. This place attracted people from all ages with different diversities and backgrounds. It was something very different from what I've ever experienced, especially when there's only 3 things on the menu! 1 that's actually edible - their knafeh. The knafeh ...where do I begin. That sweeeet sweet cheese dessert!! It was almost like a more textured, creamier but lighter version of a creme brulee. It's a little sugar heavy so I would recommend sharing it with another person unless you have a major sweet tooth then you'll easily demolish this. It was simple and delicious - and to only have that on the menu they are definitely doing something right. If you haven't tried it - definitely go before they move to a different location! It's $8 you will not regret.

We asked the staff for some water for the table .. and the staff said to us "we don't have water,…read moreyou can order drinks" I found it strange that this place doesn't offer water and that you need to order drinks if you are thirsty ..This is the first restaurant/ cafe I've been to that do not provide any water for free especially when I did already order a decent amount of dessert. That's besides the fact that the dessert was already sweet enough, and I really just wanted sine water to help wash it down. The food otherwise was decent, just didn't like the server's attitude.

Two levels with a large number of tables and chairs. For us it was a quiet night but I dare not imagine what it would be like with a packed house. Nothing really stuck out for me about the aesthetics of the place. The colours, artwork and architecture all just bled into the background. When it comes to dessert cafes you need it to be bold and create all the right impressions. Ordering is done at the counter. I'm surprised that a place like this doesn't have table side service. I needed a map to find the bathrooms, one second I'm walking upstairs and then I'm by the crepe counter on the ground floor... where am I?! The food is pricey but that being said the quality and quantity definitely reflects what you pay for. You won't be leaving hungry, the amount of ice cream and other flavoured yummies is just unbelievable. Between three people we spend around $100 and that's not including drinks. Speaking of drinks, we requested a jug of water and our waitress informed us that if we wanted water we'd need to buy bottled water. This is a bit harsh but chocolate and sugar makes you thirsty and the cafe wants their drinks profits. The ordered a spinach crepe ($18.90) and a NY Grilled 3 Cheeses ($8.50). The crepe was very tasty and soft, the salad that came with it had so much dressing on it that it was inedible. The NY Grilled 3 Cheese was okay, nothing to really write home about. The stars of the meal was the desserts. A 5th Ave NY and an Oreo Crepe. The 5 Ave came in a massive goblet glass, the amount of ice cream and waffle was extraordinary. The Oreo Crepe was out of this world, with rich melted white and milk chocolate and Oreo cookie dust. Was it a great dessert? You bet ya. Did anything else really stand out to us? Not really. The staff were friendly but we didn't really feel welcomed. When I notice this I always look towards the management, enough said. When I'm paying through the nose for an amazing meal, I also want an amazing experience to go with it. Come for the dessert and stay for the dessert.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, the place is packed to capacity; we were kindly greeted and sat down with menus. We both had heard about the "freakshakes" and so 2 freakshakes were on our agenda. The 2 freakshakes came out. The golden gaytime shake and the chocolate volcano. Where to begin; saw the staff walking out and these shakes were massive and filled with toppings. The golden gaytime was a mix between a golden gaytime and an iced coffee; and don't forget the donuts!. The other was a choc shake with a chocolate soufflé on top, so tasty, warm and gooey! Everything you want in a good shake was there. The freakshakes are a MUST. Shorty after we ordered our mains; a lamb and pumpkin salad spread and a delicious Dean! The staff throughout the whole visit were quick, friendly and suggestive. They knew the menu well. Whilst we were still finishing our shakes, the meals came out, the presentation was impeccable. Great spread of food and was excited to dig in. The lamb was very tender and the other flavours on the dishes came out strongly, pumpkin, beetroot and the dressing. The other dish, was tasty, the poached egg was just right and had a great flavour with the basil pesto and the prosciutto. After having two extremely satisfying meals here and great service. Will be here again.

This place is such an insta-worthy spot and the dishes are so colorful that I had to add this to…read moreour list to hit up while we were in the city. The set up is absolutely adorable. It's really cute here and very bright. it reminded me of a really adorable cafe in the streets of europe. RED VELVET LATTE I didn't like this latte. It was way too sweet. The consistency was a nice thickness and I could taste the red velvet, but it was very rich. MORNING GLORY- mango, peach, and passionfruit I really liked this refreshing drink. It's definitely something to order on a warm day. The fruit flavors were very good and sweet. This could perhaps be a mimosa in the making. THE FRENCHY- vanilla mascarpone, maple, berries, caramelised banana, mochi rice cake This dish was very sweet. It was a mistake ordering this because everything on the plate was sweet. I did like the french toast. It had a good thick texture on the edges, but still soft and moist in the center. The fresh fruits helped to balance out some of the sweetness of the dish, but unfortunately there was not enough fruits. The maple was too sweet and the caramelised banana was also very rich with the mascarpone. Most likely we won't be ordering this in the future. ARIGATO WAFFLES- furikake chicken waffles, cheddar, crispy bacon, and miso hollandaise This was my favorite dish of the meal. It was absolutely perfect. I'm giving this place an extra star because of this dish. The waffles were perfect. It was crisp and so light. The chicken was also very crispy and moist. The miso hollandaise sauce really tied everything together and added a sweet and savory factor. The bacon was not as crisp as I would've liked. I would've preferred the fattier bacon for texture purposes and also because it's more flavorful. Overall, it was the perfect dish for my palate. I will come back solely for the arigato waffles. It was so good. Other than that, everything else was ehh~ Service was not great. It took the girls forever to get our orders. The decor is definitely something to come for.
