Wow!
The best smoked items I try in Sydney, by far!…read more
New fave place for Texas American Style BBQ.
Music, place and the vibe reminds me when I travelled to State.
Food in here is the real deal, similar to some famous smoke houses in NY, Texas, Kansas or New Orleans
Yes it's expensive,
meat platter:
for 1 is $ 40, platter for 2 $70, but it was worth and damn yummy!
So we decided to have platter for 2, with proteins and sides are follow:
3 choices of protein;
1.Brisket, well off course is the best option for Low and slow food.
This cut of beef is most popular in Texas and the central south. Since this shop I think adapting Texas style american BBQ, I have to try this item.
Brisket meat is so tender, gelatinous and it's just melted in my mouth!
2.Chicken
Juicy and tender chicken breast, smoked ring not so strong like on the brisket, but for sure it's awesome pieces of white meat.
People are tent to overcooked this, but my pieces that I try was delicious!
3. Pork Ribs
This for me a little let down, not so many meat around the bone, but still delish!
2 sides:
1. Brisket bean
This side dish was a bomb! Jam packed full of flavour. (I'm guessing ) this underrated bean that transport all the Smokey iron bark flavour, was cooked and mixed with drips from the brisket.
Seasoning taste identical, dark pitch black colour doesn't looks very appealing but taste so heavenly!
2. Mac & Cheese
Well, honestly I try best version somewhere else,
This dish doesn't really made with love, a little lack of creaminess, and no kick of cheese flavour.
The next round will be short ribs, pastrami and some hot link ( so Texas! ).
If I'm lucky next time I will try the burnt end as well, hope they are available for me on next visit!
