Meatloaf was nothing like what an American would expect, but was very good. It wanted to be ham in…read moretaste but bologna in texture. It was pretty tasty. Fried potatoes were good, but with a little salt and pepper they were amazing. Salami sandwich was nothing special, but still good. It had cheese, lettuce, and a mustard base mayonnaise. Mocchiatto was really good, very creamy, and the sweet wine was delicious. Nephew had poppyseed pie, it had pieces of apple in it and the crust was crispy with a nice drizzling of something sweet. It was different, and maybe a acquired taste. If you like the taste of poppyseed, u will fall off the earth after u taste the pie.
Interior was nothing to write home about. Was in need of upgrade. Had outside seating which had a view of the church, and a water fountain. On nice days, this would be a good spot to people watch and relax. If u long to shop, there are little shops on both sides of the cafe.
The main dishes were ok,but the desserts were good. We picked up some hazelnut pastry looking thing and ate them that night back at the hotel. If I could come up with another word besides awesome, it would go here.
Personally, the dessert/pastry, rate the place at 4-5. The meal by itself was mainly a 2-3, it was ok. So it gets a 3.
