Everyone else on our tour went to more touristy places to eat, but we found this place quite by accident. The food was divine and the desserts (all made by the owner) were fabulous. The owners daughter, Heike was so sweet and hospitable. We really enjoyed meeting both she and her father. I hope to visit Boppard, Germany again someday and stop in at this lovely little cafe. No bakery in Germany will stay in business if it is not excellent. But each baker has their own style. We were told when we were in Vilseck that we should buy our brötchen at the bakery on such and such street and our stollen at the bakery on this other street.
