A couple of girls came in on a work lunch break and Isabel took care of us with a friendly smile! She reminded us of the "you pick two" style and offered her suggestions I decided to go with the BBBQ Chicken Caesar salad (chicken with barbecue, bourbon sauce on romaine with roasted corn, black beans, roasted red peppers, croutons, and eggless Caesar salad dressing with Reggiano cheese and the soup of the day which was roasted veggies The salad was good but the soup was the star of the show! It was a fire roasted veggie goodness with a little kick and a side of bread to dip I also got the "Magic Lemonade" which was lemonade with butterfly pea powder which made the drink a beautiful shade and even more delicious I also got the seasonal Mapleberry Cold Brew topped with maple syrup & blueberry infused cold roam. Garnished wilh a cinnamon waffle cone crunch. It was the perfect mid afternoon pick me up. I've been here before and got the BBQ pulled pork and soup before. I will definitely be back! read more

I was bummed when my extended basic sandwich was brought to me. A half of a slice of bread... good sandwich, but, a full slice of bread would have been nice. Had some kind of cherry coffee which was good. Don't really drink coffee all that much but it sounded good. Felt it in my stomach most of the morning and was craving water to balance it out. I love this cafe! They have great food. I had an egg sandwich made gluten free, which was delicious and a cold brew. They have lots of coffee options. They have moved locations and now have plenty of seating inside and outside the cafe. It was very busy on a holiday weekend but they were pretty efficient. Definitely recommend! read more

Shared a parfait super delicious and ingredients you can taste how fresh they are my s/o ordered a classic PB& J which he said was phenomenal because the jelly was super fresh I just tried a bit of jelly I'm not really a PB & J girly I ordered the Mexicali wrap and I added chorizo , the wrap was good however if I was making it I would opt out the corn especially if there's no time to cook it or warm it up , it was cold like it just got cracked open out the can and tossed in the wrap which made my wrap cold and soggy which completely took away from the flavor and composition of the breakfast sandwich presentation was good but that one ingredient to my wrap was absolutely not it. Very cute spot for breakfast/lunch - and breakfast is served all day! The variety of both food and beverage options was vast - lots of healthy options / vegetarian options available. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I got an iced latte which came with the iced espresso under a cold foam - you could drink it like this but I mixed it into the latte and it was insanely good. The flavor of the coffee was unreal. I got the Cali Wrap, which came with egg, corn, and a sauce inside and also was tasty. I'll definitely be back to try items if/when I'm in Niantic again! read more

We stopped into Cafe Sol on a Friday morning, it was pretty busy, but service was quick and friendly. They mentioned they took allergies very seriously, and I felt comfortable eating here. We split a hibiscus tea and a gluten free bagel with lox and capers. Everything tasted great and potions were generous. A little on the pricey side for a drink and a bagel, but oh well. Cafe Sol was a stop recommended by Guess Where travels, and my friend had actually been there frequently and was eager to see their new location. They have parking that goes around the building, with seating inside and outside. Their menu covers a few chalk boards. The bread and meat of the sandwich was very good, although it was just a drop of dressing for creaminess. The decor was very bright and eclectic without becoming clutter. Everything was extremely clean, including the rest room. There is a free little library inside to check out or maybe move an old book on in life! Cafe Sol is my favorite place to visit whenever I'm in Niantic! The menu is so unique, extensive and delicious, and it's the perfect spot for breakfast or lunch! The coffee and teas are also very tasty, and they do an amazing job curating seasonal selections. The staff is also incredibly friendly and charming. Their original location on Main Street was too small to accommodate the crowds and regulars that frequented Cafe Sol. Their new space is gorgeous and has so many seating options. I just got an iced latte, but they surprised me by adding cold foam on top. They have some seating inside and outside, we didn't have a table outside where we sat, it's ok since we weren't eating. The coffee was delicious, they actually brew Ashlawn Farm coffee here. It's one of the best in the general area. The cold foam was refreshing and sweet! Stopped by the old location few years back and had a great breakfast sandwich. Found myself cruising through Nianitc again, and decided to check out the new spot. Got a breakfast sandwich and a latte to go, but they do now have a large welcoming seating area to dine in. The wait was quick, the staff was super friendly, and the sandwich was delicious. The parking can be difficult since the area is tourist filled especially during the summer but if you go during the weekday you can get street parking without a problem. If you find yourself in this area I strongly recommend you try Café soul. The staff here is extremely friendly and very helpful. This was our first visit here and if we lived closer we would probably come here often. This place is amazing! We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door here. We looked at the menu and I decided on a scoop salad with chicken salad and my husband and get a quesadilla. We also ordered a drink on the recommendation of the staff which turned out to be very good. I don't remember the full name but it had some thing with mango. I want to say mango tango but I could be totally wrong. The salad was so good! The greens were very fresh and the chicken salad was very flavorful. The balsamic vinegar dressing went very well with the greens and the tomatoes and cucumbers. The quesadilla that my husband ordered was very big! He enjoyed it very much. The drink was also very good and I would strongly recommend that you try it. I really like to here! The staff made you feel very welcome when you walked in and you still felt just as welcome when you walked out. They have many breakfast and lunch options. This place recently moved and it's better than ever. Honestly I have only ever been here for breakfast, but the lunch menu looks just as good. For breakfast, the coffee is great and there are a lot of options for breakfast sandwiches on local bagels. They let me sub wraps for bagels without an issue. On our last visit, my kids ordered everything bagels and it turned out they were out of them. Not a big deal to substitute another option, but the staff felt badly about it and gave the kids a free muffin of their choosing. There's a really nice patio out back (though watch out for bees if you're allergic) and dogs are welcome -- they even brought out a water bowl for ours. Lots of people seem to come and camp out to get work done in the morning before heading to the beach in the afternoon. Highly recommend. read more

Place is great. But PLEASE FIX the parking lot. It's unpaved and packed of potholes. Definitely not safe if you have an elderly parent to walk on. Also the front door SLAMS shut and scares everyone inside every time someone walks in. read more
