Chicken Marsala
Kimberly H.

Update on my experience: My boyfriend and I came here a couple of weeks ago (on a Saturday evening 1 hour before closing time) and sat at the bar. Not going to lie, I was craving for their delicious chicken Marsala and decided to give this restaurant another try. Our bartender/server, Nicole, greeted us with a warm welcome. We ordered a couple of their signature drinks, as well as the delightful chicken Marsala with gnocchi (this time around) and everything was HEAVENLY! I'm glad I decided to give this place another shot. Cravings were satisfied and definitely will be coming back again.

We had a amazing visit. Very good lunch crowd. Tess is an amazing bartender. Donnie is a good'ish singer. The pepperoni cheesesteak was perfectly balanced. Porchetta was too return for over and over.

Dad & I enjoying our meal.

Great food nice people. I called advance to get reservation and explain my situation. I take my 84 year old Father out to eat weekly. He has dementia and mobility issues. They were more than decent. They took the reservation. Even sat us by the door. The place is nice. Atmosphere good. Food was great. People could not have been nicer or more accomadating. Pop had raviolii. I had a gnocchi with crab meat delicious. We will definitely be back...

We were greeted immediately by our server and a trainee. I ordered an old fashioned and my wife ordered a specialty cocktail. Both tasted great however, wait for the drink was excessive. The bar had an afterwork crowd and it appeared a bit understaffed. For my meal I ordered grilled octopus for a starter and I think it was one of the best I've ever had. Tender, savory with a really flavorful sauce. My wife had the Ricotta focaccia. Loved it. For dinner I had the pasta with mushroom and truffle. It was amazing. Temperature was perfect. It was hot, creamy and amazingly flavorful. My wife had the bream fish dish. She enjoyed that as well. For dessert we had the almond/chocolate tort. Very nicely warmed with a rich chocolate flavor to end the meal. I'll be back for sure.

Great experience in Wilmington…read more When we were visiting Wilmington we were looking for somewhere good to eat, and social media recommended we tried out casa nonna. The ambiance is super fun as it's hidden to the side of a food hall, but tucked away so it feels very intimate. The food was phenomenal. I got the chicken Parmesan (although it's an appetizer it filled me up), my husband got the sausage pizza and my friend got eggplant parm. While the food was amazing, the one complaint I had was the service. I felt bad I feel like the server was handling every single table, and while the server was super nice and helpful, our food took forever and getting water and the check took a while as well. Overall good experience and will be back when I again to try new food here.

During my visit, I ordered a salad and the ricotta gnocchi. I had originally planned to try the chicken parmesan, but unfortunately, they were out. The salad and drink were both fine, but the main course was a letdown. The portion was surprisingly small. At $24, I expected something more substantial, not what felt like an appetizer-sized dish. In total, I spent nearly $60 and left still hungry and underwhelmed.

It is often regarded as one of the best, and you can tell both the chefs and the staff work hard to make it that way. We tried 8 dishes (they recommended 4 to 6 for two people, so we over did it) and left stuffed...like could not finish the delicious dessert stuffed. Our ranking of the dishes we ate: --Carbonara--yes yes yes, a delightful explosion --Lamb neck--the richness of the broth cut slightly with the acidity of the passionfruit...order this --Branzino--light, flaky, heavily seasoned skin (in the best way) --Burrata pop tart--a classic that the entire table will love --Beef Tartare--loved the pillowy bread twist on this dish --Salmon--these are meant to be eaten in 1 bite, a pop of citrus with salty roe at the end --Scallop--this was the only miss for me. I thought the flavors were competing with each other instead of complementing. The Ode to Chocolate was awesome with so many different flavors and textures. A chocolate lovers dream! The staff here was super friendly and helpful. Each dish was described as it came out. I always love that because it shows how much care goes into each dish. Sabrina, our waitress, recommended incredible dishes and answered the dozens of questions we had. We will, of course, be back to try even more.
