The portions are generous definitely enough food to leave you full, and even enough for leftovers depending on your appetite. The ropa vieja was tender, flavorful, and well-seasoned, the congrí had great flavor, and the sweet plantains were perfectly caramelized. I also tried the yuca with ropa vieja, which was delicious, and grabbed some black beans , which tasted homemade and comforting. Before leaving, I couldn't resist taking home a couple of papas rellenas and tamales, they did not disappoint. Crispy on the outside with a flavorful filling inside. Another thing I really liked is that they have a nice selection of Cuban pastries and desserts, along with beer and wine if you're dining in. It's the kind of place where you can stop in for breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, or just a pastry. They had live music for happy hour. If you're looking for authentic Cuban comfort food on the west side of Las Vegas, this is definitely worth checking out. Everything was really good. The sauces were a standout, especially the aji verde, house sauce, and huancaína. The yuca fries were perfectly addictive. A little pricey at $15 for a handful, but tasty. The mariscos saltado was $26 and a HUGE portion. As many of you know, Peruvian food has strong Chinese influences and saltado is that classic stir-fried, savory combo. The fish was soft and the seafood wasn't fancy but it was tender and well cooked. The chicken was super flavorful and juicy. The vibe here is casual and neighborly. The kind of place you'd come back to again and again. If I lived in Vegas, I'd definitely be here often.

Same with the roasted chicken , juicy enough, but it really needed salt. The bright spot was the sides and sauces. The red onions were really good, and the sauces added a lot more flavor to the meal. When you combined the chicken, onions, and sauces together, it made for a really good bite. Service was excellent throughout the visit, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, it was decent, but not the best Peruvian food I've had. I'm not sure if I'd to back but maybe it was a off day for the chef.

My husband's gyro plate has tahini sauce all over it and he doesn't like tahini sauce so he complained and the server offered to make him a new plate. A new plate came out in reasonable time. He was lucky because the gyro meat wasn't all dried out like it was on the first plate that was brought out. (Maybe it was just sitting under a heat lamp for a long time while we were waiting a long time?). My plate (Fried Chicken with Bananas) was mostly very good. I was asked if I wanted leg and thigh or breast and wing? I picked leg & thigh and it was juicy and flavorful. I noticed that I had another piece of chicken but had enough so I gave it to my husband. It turned out to be a breast that was dried out and stringy. I must say that the salad that came with my meal was very good and also a very generous portion with lots of freshly made banana chips in it.
