I am a huge fan of the Iced Nutella coffee and will happily wait in line for it. The avocado toast is also great. I recommend ordering in advance from the website if you have young kids, the line can be long and there isn't really a lot of space to wait inside. People tend to cram themselves in the shop. It's meant for getting coffee and breakfast for a small group. This is not the place to order breakfast for everyone in your shore house of 12 people. They have a sign that says if you need more than 6 bagels to let them know 24 hours in advance. read more

Coffee's OK and bagels are hit or miss but the crowds and being jostled are definitely not worth it. Go to Donna's. The coffee is just as good if not better and there's an excellent selection of homemade pastries, donuts and traditional breakfasts. This has been one of our favorite coffee places since they opened up in this sea shore town. This place gets very busy in the so get in line and just wait for the best cup of coffee. The wife always remembers us every year and asked us how our year has been and if there is anything new with us. It ain't right how damn good my sandwich from this place was. First off, it comes with a side salad. The dressing was down right tasty. The balsamic vinaigrette from the salad gets on to the bottom of your ham and Swiss, and lemme tell ya, GOURMET. my boyfriend and I ate in complete silence. Really great coffee, my cousin and I came here everyday for our trip this year due to a lack of proper made espresso drinks in Avalon. We have come here in years past as well. The baristas know what they are doing here. The dark mochas are really great, my favorite order. Although when I asked the woman behind the counter who I believe runs this business she responded a bit snobbish, like as if asking if the chocolate had any dairy in it was a dumbass question. Beside the fact that I am vegan, I am lactose intolerant so it's something I have to ask. whatever just wish she would have answered friendlier instead of scoffing at me and looking in my aunts face while rolling her eyes. read more

I'm a long-time patron, and have great empathy for the challenge of getting help in this time. My pattern is to order my breakfast sandwich on -line, and it's usually done by the time I walk there. This morning, I went to the website to order, and after entering all my order info, I was told that I could only order for pickup with an order for which the subtotal was over $10. My $8.75, fully-priced bagel sandwich didn't qualify. So, I walked to the restaurant. There were about six, very frustrated looking folks standing there, in a way I assumed they had already ordered. They hadn't. My $2 cheaper bagel sandwich I ordered while walking to Wawa was very tasty. read more

I ordered an egg, cheese and salami bagel. The bagel was burnt to a crisp. The owner said that's how they make them. My brother said he had one there about three times before and it was never burnt. Quick grab and go breakfast with good prices. I took out food from Cafe Noir two days in a row and was not disappointed. Bagels are fresh, coffee smelled good and helpful staff. It would be my recommendation to either get there early or just take out the food because of how crowded it gets every morning. The place itself is very small with 4 tables on the inside. While living in NYC does not make me a bagel expert, it does add some credibility to this claim. I've had a lot of bagels in my life, but Cafe Noir has the best, ever, in the world. Ever. That is just the bagel part, I love it because the owner is part of the fabric of Stone Harbor. While Cafe Noir is certainly a busy spot during the Summer in Stone Harbor and yes, maybe it isn't always run as efficiently as a Starbucks, but it has great coffee and and that nieghborhood coffee shop feel. The quality of their offering is way better than you could hope for in a beach town. Cafe Noir also stays open through December and my conversations with the owner about politics to Carl Icahn's takeover of A.C. are always entertaining. I guess I just think this is a great spot and any flaws are actually additive to the fact that Cafe Noir is a neighborhood spot...sometimes it is what it is. read more

Only been open a month, but they have the customer service and product production down right! Group of seven of us came in and two ladies came in right after us and the one counter girl did not miss greeting anyone. The girl was very pleasant and a quick problem solver! We ordered iced coffees and an iced chai latte and they were phenomenal! They did have paninis that sounded tasty and were fair in price. They also had an assortment of snacks and other bottled drinks. The owner was also present and the counter girl said he is always around. He was very friendly and had a very European outlook on his coffee, shop, and service which was nice to see. I've stopped in twice and each time had a nice talk with the owners who are great to talk to and passionate about their store. Sometimes a person may pass a diner, restaurant or coffee shop for years and then walk in the abode; you realize after trying an amazing cup of coffee and bagel egg and cheese sandwich, that you should have tried it years ago. Cafe Noir is such a place. I could say the bagels are great but that would do it an injustice. I'm 65 and never had a bagel taste so good. Light and airy, their bagels almost taste ethereal.There's a reason why this is so which I won't go into. If you go down to Stone Harbor and want a high quality cup of coffee, sandwich, tea or croissant, please don't wait as long as I did ( 7 years). You'll wind up like me with 7 years of regrets. It took us all week to finally find good coffee! Love this place. It has a lot of charm, great coffee and food. I tried watery cup after watery cup trying to find a good full bodied blend. Ran into my ex-sister-in-law at another coffee house down the street and she recommended any shop that serves La Colombe coffee and pointed me in the direction of Cafe Noir. We had the coffee, lattes, smoothies and panini, all delish and top notch This is NOT Starbucks folks. If you are in a hurry, go somewhere else. We went to Cafe Noir for the first time today. I am not sure how we missed this gem. First the service was great. Delone (sorry if I missed spelled your name) was great and probably enhanced the experience. He is very passionate about his work and it shows when he talks to you about everything the offer. The cold brew ice coffee was so smooth. My wife had a ice latte with almond milk. Everything was great and the muffins are fantastic. They are very light for a muffin, not dense at all.
