I love Cafe Noctis. It sits in the same premises as the former Comptoire 21 but now it's a Persian-inspired cafe, . They have poetry/spoken word shows on Fridays and it's doing it's best to establish itself as a neighbourhood cafe and I really hope they succeed.
They serve brunch in weekends which include items like bagels and cream cheese but also muhammara, baked eggs in tomato and garlic with pita bread.
This is one of the few places where I've seen rosewater lattes which I love sipping on every time I'm here. Right now since it's autumn you also of course you have pumpkin spice
lattes and pistachios lattes as well. There are many Persian sweets, a lot of it based on almonds and pistachios. They also make smoothies with Medjool dates. Very low-key casual, there are a few plush seats in the front and the terrace opens out into the front onto Wellington during the summer with Spanish guitar music or Persian and Arab folk songs playing on the sound system..
Service is super chill and friendly. I love spending my evenings here catching up on me reading or writing when inspiration hits. read more
