One of many competing cafes/ takeaways on the Bristol Road South section in Northfield, Munch Cafe stands out as being unusually large. Most eateries in the area tend to have their emphasis placed upon takeaways, and as such only supply a couple of tables, if any at all, for patrons to sit at and eat in, and it seems that Munch Cafe has sought to exploit this lack of dedicated eat-in establishments. However, the few occasions that I've been in there, I've been one of only a couple of people, with the size of the place serving only to emphasise how empty it is, meaning there's no real atmosphere to speak of. Munch does various paninis, baguettes (both hot and cold), jacket potatoes, as well as a range of hot drinks, and it's all reasonably priced, with the food belying the lack of character caused by the size of the cafe and actually being extremely tasty. All in all, if you're looking for somewhere to grab a quick sandwich, I'd definitely recommend Munch Cafe, although probably not as somewhere to seek out for a sit down meal. read more
