This is a great little shop right across from the last supper museum! We stopped in for a late breakfast, and the fancy coffees were delicious! We grabbed a hot chicken sandwich to go, and it was very tasty too. Staff are friendly and quick. And they actually have pretty ample seating for a more leisurely coffee stop. read more

After walking a mile on heat, the ice cream gelato hit the spot before my visit to the Santa Maria del Grazie church. Italy is so weird, the price is doubled for sit down but worth every penny after my feet fought with the cobblestones. read more

I came here because I visited The Last Supper across the street and this was the closest place I can find for breakfast. I wanted a patty and an espresso and they had just that for me. The pastries are self served and they are so fresh and good. The espresso is brought to your table. The Dining are is casual and nothing fancy but definitely comfortable. I came here as was desperately hungry and had 1hr to wait before my Last Supper tour started. The location is convenient- they are just across from the church and they closed at 9pm which meant I didn't have to hang out in the square like an orphan till my tour started at 9:15pm. I really enjoyed my starters - I got these two different kinds of croissant and both the filings are just great. Then I got a rose wine to accompany my Caprese, but this was frankly just average. I felt the cheese could have been more robust and also instead of basil, I got two pieces of lettuce - #disappointed. So hence the 3 star review but actually if u stick with making right choice, I think their menu has promise - it just wasn't that day for me. read more

Across the street from the Last Supper entrance, we stopped in while waiting for guests who were taking the tour. We intended to just grab a drink while we waited, but after the tour our friends wanted to grabbed lunch. We ordered our drinks and sat down by the window so we could watch out for them. There is a full bar, beer, wine, water, soft drinks. A waiter brought the drinks to the table along with a 'tally sheet' of what we ordered. When we ordered another drink, he stopped by to update the tally sheet. Just beyond the bar is a display case with a variety of pre-made plates and sandwiches. The pre-made plates are heated and brought to the table. A waiter came by with place mats and silverware before the food was delivered. My friends enjoyed their meals. Both contained what appeared to be a half dozen small burger patties (without bun) one with broccoli and spinach, the other with roasted potato. There were several entree options. Just before the bar, close to the door, is a gelato display. Order at the bar and then pay the cashier. The staff here are very friendly. The interior, is very nice. There are a large number of tables in the back and a few in front. The restrooms were large and clean. Although the food is not made fresh to order, this is a nice, friendly spot to stop in for an afternoon beverage, snack, meal or coffee. read more

I'll start with the positives. The pastries and coffee were tasty and moderately priced. However we were sitting at a table directly behind the bread and roll containers. We witnessed the wait staff picking up the bread with their hands, putting leftovers from bussed tables back into the containers, then another waiter picking those same rolls putting them in a basket and serving them for the 2nd? Third? Time..not to mention how many sets of hands have touched all their bread! also when they bus the table if there was any silverware packets that appeared unused (?) they would put them back and use them again. Sitting directly across the street from Santa Maria delle Grazie is Cafe La Grazie. Upon entering, we were greeted by the friendly waitstaff who motioned for us to sit anywhere. We ordered a glass of red wine and a Chimay and weren't pressured to order anything else. When we asked for a second round of drinks, we were also presented a plate of finger foods, on the house, which I guess is part of their happy hour. The plate consisted of two small slices of pizza and a few finger sandwiches, all of which were very tasty. We then noticed the platters that lined the counter were platters of real food and not just for show. Freshly sliced meat, finger sandwiches, nuts and chips were just some of what they offered. After dealing with the sketchiness and mediocre food of the touristy areas, Cafe La Grazie is a breath of fresh air that we would definitely come visit again...that is, if we ever happen to cut through Milano again. read more

Great coffee, good gelato, and yummy canoli! Love this place for its great proximity to all of the sites to see. We just stood at the counter and ordered but they also have some great little tables. It is right across from Santa Maria delle Grazie, the church that houses the Last Supper. Its a great spot to pick up a snack & coffee before or after your tour. read more
