On a voucher for breakfast but I would be happy to pay full price for these dishes. The restaurant…read moreis in the building on the corner of Church St and Victoria Rd which houses the Coles supermarket. Parking is metered at this end of Parramatta but you can park a little further away and walk. The restaurant faces a courtyard and is next to another similar restaurant; healthy competition? Our waitress was on the ball. Whilst we were four adults on a voucher, we had two children in tow. She was mindful that a baby cino might need more than one marshmallow..we ended up with four. She was clear on what was and what wasn't included in the voucher and double checked on how we wanted our eggs & toast. As for the food....very good and generous portions. We did add to the meal with iced coffee and other drinks. The coffee was very good. The restaurant has seating inside and outside. It is quite open and there is plenty of room to park a stroller. There is also a bar that serves beer and wine. As it was breakfast we gave that a miss this time.

I had a granola bowl with some delicious mango concoction and coconut yogurt with lots of fresh fruit and house made granola. The coffee was good as well. And I got to sit outside. It finally rained in Parramatta the last two days so the air was fresh. I highly recommend Basket Brothers for breakfast and coffee.

Decided to try this place out after a friend recommended it for having tasty food. So fingers…read morecrossed this place has tasty food! Upon arrival it has so far taken about ten minutes to be given a menu.. and another ten minutes for the waiter to come back and take our order. The place is quite busy with the inside seating area full. The waitress seems run off her feet and her short and impolite service definitely leaves a sour taste in the mouth. Our drinks came out approximately 25mins later (chocolate milkshake & red Fanta type soda with mint) and about 5-10mins after that we were brought our food.. but we had to get up and go inside and ask the waitress to bring out cutlery as she had forgot to do so when she brought the food to the table. We ordered the creamy corn fritters.. they were cold and tasted as if they had been pre-made & slightly reheated in a microwave.. :( they did have quite a good amount of smoked salmon which was good.. but you couldn't taste any wasabi.. pretty bland tasting.. The French toast was also cold and was pretty much just a piece of brioche bread coated in some sugar.. definitely didn't eat more than a quarter of it.. The only good thing about this place was their wrap.. a simple bacon and salad wrap - was the only thing that wasn't left on the plate. Overall- I definitely would NOT recommend this cafe! Unfriendly staff - poor customer service - extremely long wait time for drinks and food - and the price was ridiculous (approx $85!) Will not be returning.

We came here for lunch and had a steak sandwich and 5 spice squid salad. Both were just under $20 but were very nice. The coffee is also good and there are some temptations in the refrigerated display but I resisted. There were plenty of people in for coffee and lunch but we didn't have to wait too long for the order to be taken and then the food to arrive. Service was friendly too. You might have to park in a side street but not too far away from the front door.

I have eaten at cafes and restaurants on five continents now. Little did I know that one of the…read morefinest (the finest which comes to mind right now) is in the suburb where I live. I have been coming to 'Provence Garden Cafe' for many years now. The menu is sizable but not overwhelming, the food is good, the atmosphere with greenery and a rock pool with fish in the corner is excellent. The best thing about this place, however, is the service. In the many years I have been coming, I only had one poor experience. I noticed the waitress on that occasion was not present thereafter. I constantly give tips which is not something I do often. There is no pretension, attention is easy to obtain yet privacy at other times is given. In short, they are always accommodating and respectful. Yes the owner and the staff are Asian but their understanding of English is ample to run a cafe. Oh, and no music (let alone blaring). I also love the fact that it is a business in its own right i.e. outside a shopping centre. It is also close to Eastwood train station which has a busy bus stop alongside it. Note: this does not affect the cafe as it is surprisingly well insulated against sound. I am thankful to 'Yelp' for giving us (i.e. me in this instance) an opportunity to communicate all the above to others. I am also thankful to the owner(s) and staff (over the years) for keeping this business open - and for keeping it up over such a lengthy period of time. Thank-you reader for your time and attention.

We like it cause it gives you lots of options and the portion size is quite hefty. We like the atmosphere cause it's outside and the people are great, but one thing is that the language barier is a little short. Other than that the food is great and I think the pictures should speak for themselves.
