I ordered a Vietnamese Coffee, a crispy squid (one I can't get enough of) and the vegan pho with extra hot sauce. Now, I know the vegan pho is not super authentic, but for vegans or plant based people it's the best option. The owners and staff are friendly and can explain you the best options to order. Had a great experience here overall.

I tried their rare beef pho, and my partner, their chargrilled pork vermicelli and salad, which he loved. We shared a plate of the prawn roll to start with. Nicely presented and tasty flavours. The dipping sauce was different, more plum than peanut. My bowl of rare beef pho came with plentiful fresh pho, no skimping here, that it's never enough. The broth was hot and tasty, how it should be too. To accompany it was a side of bean sprouts, thai basil, a lime wedge and sliced jalapenos if you like it spicier! The rare beef was lovely and tender. A very satisfying meal, and definitely will return, especially, I see they have live lobsters on the menu, and seems to be their speciality. On this occasion, we did nor order it, as we only had a limited time for our meal, it would be too short to enjoy and savour the lobster, so will return!

The staff are friendly but not obsequious and around half of the tables in the low lit, 'Viet-vague' themed front room were full of the happy middle class of Camberwell enjoying their early Saturday night. The menu is Viet, with strong influences, hence some of the items on the Dim Sum menu and a large small plate list. Alongside the standards I spot a pork beancurd skin roll and some interesting kimchee dumplings. I go for an old favourite to start, the salt and chilli squid. It's got the flavour, but boy is it chewy. A little greasy as well, but to be honest, it just felt like it had been sat around for a bit. To go with it, we had some very acceptable steamed BBQ pork buns and a refreshing prawn spring roll, nothing exceptional but both well and seemingly freshly prepared. To be honest, I'd always rather go for starters... The grilled pork in lemongrass was also slightly disappointing. Well seasoned and cooked, but the dish itself didn't deliver any more. Just the pork on a bed of (sightly too) sticky rice with a spicy chilli vinegar to give some liquid. Fundamentally, it's just not a great combination. Next time I'll be going for one of their excellent Bun Hue style noodles with seafood.

I just wanted a soothing soup and this was perfect. I had their beef and pork spicy mixed pho and loved it. From the texture of the noodles to the flavour of the soup. I could have done with more spice, but this was still good. Next time, I may just get the plain pork though. The dumplings were lovely too. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was the hot Vietnamese coffee. AS usual I ordered mine with extra condensed milk. What I got was more of a double espresso shot with a smidgen of condensed milk. Not milky enough and too strong for me, especially at night. There's a lot of good stuff on the menu, that I'd love to try. Maybe if I'm in the area again. Forgot to mention: The day I visited, it was cash only. I'm not sure if thats an aberration or always. So be prepared.

First, the food quality is good and reasonably priced (13 pounds). I ordered the big bowl pho soup includes noodles, meatballs, and beef with a side helping of bean sprouts to add. It was satisfying and hearty. The only blemish was that the broth had a bit more fat than I would have liked. Location is convenient for visitors to Brighton. It's on Preston Street near the Waitrose supermarket. From the Brighton I-360 tourist attraction, it's about 1-2 blocks north away from the water. From Churchill Square (near the clock tower), it's about a 5-7 minute walk to the west (along the street that is reserved for buses and taxis only). The restaurant is a bit tiny - I would recommend it for solo diner or couples. It's not convenient for a large group. Preston Street has a nice boba tea shop across the way and other restaurants that are worth a look-see. Overall, I would recommend "the Big Bowl" for visitors to Brighton who are looking for authentic Vietnamese pho.

It was tasty and cost just under £9. Service was very friendly and nice. I will definitely come back and try other items on the menu!

This is a little gem in Leyton. What makes this Vietnamese restaurant stand outs, is that it has a slightly different added menu, it still makes the traditional food, but stuffed chicken wings? Saying that, the traditional dishes were just as splendid, full of mouth watering flavours, combining with the freshness and texture when taking that first bite. And there was no skimping on the portion sizes. I left that restaurant quite full. The venue itself was spacious and open. really cool modern and simple decorating, but it works. Even when the restaurant was full, still did not feel crowded, quite the opposite, relax with a buzz vibe. That was also due to the part of the waiters, who were very friendly, attentive, and on point. They have some really good lunch offers at the moment, so that really helps, but generally the cost is quite decent and value for money, comparing to other Vietnamese restaurants. Other than parking and its awkward location, one way narrow road, I would say this is a good place to eat.
