Very clean, nice waitstaff, delicious fresh food. Cheese ravoli tastes homemade, lasagna has plenty of ground beef and cheese Very cold fountain soda in a tall glass, lots of fizz. Really nice fresh Italian bread (soft) to start. read more

I haven't been to Gino's since their old location, over 16 years ago. Growing up it was my favorite spot to have pizza. Stopped by one day after work and decided on 2 regular slices. Paid and waited as they reheated the pizza. The place is clean and spacious. Nice lighting. The first bite of my pizza took me back to a child/teenager. It was AMAZING! They've always had the best crispy crust I love. And I've never had cheese like theirs. It was Delicious!! I'll definitely be going back, with my family :-) read more

My wife and I stopped by after touring Old Westbury Gardens. This place was an amazing discovery. The decor of the place was nice and the service was fast and friendly. The bread was amazing. Some of the best we have had. This was one of those places you aren't sure about until you've tried it. We tried it and glad we did. read more

Wouldn't put the slice of Pizza I paid $4.30 for on a tray so I could carry it to the table, It's important to mention I've been a customer at this establishment for at least 30 years. When I asked can I have a tray to carry my pizza so it wouldn't fall on the floor, now I realize why no one offered me any kind of drink. The response was trays are for the food. Horrible customer service. I'm still in shock read more

Dinner indoors here on a Sunday night. We were the only customers. Our baked clams were chopped clams with mushy bread crumbs. My dish of zucchini, spinach and sauteed shrimp with a slab of chicken breast was so so. The chicken filet wasn't bad but not something I would order again. Chicken was bland and oddly some of the zucchini slices were cold. They were prob grilled prior and reheated. read more

Me and my family go to this place probably twice a week and they make some good pizza. But the food is expensive so I would suggest fixing that. I love this place! :) read more

I live pretty close by Cafe Gino's in Westbury and have been here 2-3 times for pizza over the past year. The place is pretty well lit and spacious, with a bunch of tables for casual eating and more on the other side for table service. It's definitely more modern looking and clean feeling than Alfredo's down the road. However, I have to say that the pizza I've had there has been pretty poor by typical Long Island standards. I came in recently with a friend and got a buffalo chicken slice and Sicilian slice. Along with a soda, the meal came out to around $10 (sorry, can't remember the exact amount). The pizza was pretty bad though. Maybe it was because we came in the late evening on a Sunday night, but even then I'd expect a lot better. If you look at my picture, you can see that my buffalo chicken slice doesn't have many pieces of chicken on it at all. A good slice should be covered with chicken in my book. It thus wasn't very filling as well. The Sicilian slice tasted a bit stale and also wasn't very thick. So I was still hungry after I finished. Thus I was disappointed by my visit to Cafe Gino's. For what you get, it is expensive and the quality is lacking. It isn't an utter horror show to warrant a one star rating, but it could be much, much better. read more

Stopped by this place literally minutes after going to Toskana Pizzeria, which is just a few blocks south. Tale of the tape: Garlic Knots Contrary to the other reviews for this place, they do have garlic knots here. Perhaps garlic sticks are served if you dine in. At any rate the dough is somewhat light, but so is the garlic flavor. Just like at Toskano, they need to step up their garlic game, on a menu item that has garlic in its name! Penne ala Vodka Slice I was unable to get a cup of vodka sauce, as I was told it was made to order, but they did have almost a whole pie of penne ala vodka left in the case. What struck me first was how crispy the crust was - that crisp was done proper, as was the cheese atop the penne. However, the vodka sauce itself was in somewhat short supply. A bit more would have made for a better taste experience. From what I could tell, the vodka sauce itself was a little bit above ok. It had some flavor, but in my opinion it could have a bit more. If it had the flavor to match the crispiness of the crust, it would have been an amazing, wining combination. read more

This is our family's go-to place for pizza, some salads and several other dishes. It's family owned and provides great service whether it's eat-in or takeaway. I can highly recommend it. read more

First of all the food had no taste and for 15 dollars the only good thing was the ice tea

Standard pizza spot on Post Ave. I heard they only moved into this new space recently and it shows. Very clean, beautifully decorated. Staff is friendly. They don't offer much besides the classics when it comes to pizza but the pizza they do offer is very good. Slices came out quick and were extremely greasy and room temp. even though they just came from the oven? Unsure if they were having oven issues that day but the pizza was still delicious (I'll even eat cold pizza). They don't have garlic knots but instead have garlic sticks which were ice cold and had no garlic taste whatsoever. I would come back here again just for pizza but would make sure it's hot next time if they're offering to put it in the oven. The flavor is there, the temperature is not. read more

Great service. Great staff. Great Ambiance. Delicious out of this world food. Polite manners of staff, quick service.

Such a difference in a GREAT PIZZA Place. Cafe Gino's is my favorite- I drive past many other places to get here. I usually take pies out, but tonight I got a Sausage slice ' it was sooo good, full flavor and it felt light while eating - like italy pizza. My nephew had Sicilian with pepperoni & same great taste - not too think, lots of flavor. BEST SICILIAN PIZZA he has every had & he ALWAYS gets same order lol. I recommend Cafe Ginos! read more

The margherita alive was very good, and my son enjoyed the pepperoni. Would be my go to pizza place if I still lived in the area. read more

Unassuming place . Filled up quickly during a break from a dance event across the street. Got very busy. I had a pasta with shrimp and arugula, great flavor , quality pasta perfectly cooked. My wife had a ravioli with mushroom sauce. Excellent. I would go back in a heartbeat. read more

There is literally nothing special about this place. Came here on our way to an event in Old Westbury. We ordered some pretty normal stuff. Pizza, chicken roll, and sausage with broccoli rabe. Nothing had flavor. Not even salt seemed to help. The waiter was a young kid that was really nice, but this place just didn't hit the mark. Their thin crust pizza with arugula was meh. Wouldn't even stop in for a slice of pizza. read more

Average pizza at the highest prices I've ever paid anywhere on the Island or in Queens. Seven dollars for two slices. I thought I didnt hear the counter man correctly. Their info states that they're open unti 10:30. I arrived at 8:40 pm and they were closing. I wasn't impressed with their customer service either. Another couple arrived, observed staff and staff's family members sitting/hanging out at tables, asked if they could have dinner, told "no". Asked if they could sit at larger table to eat whatever pizza was still available, told "no". Another employee was vacuuming floor in front of counter right between the counter and the couple as they were trying to talk and order from counter-man. There is an area with small tables for pizza and larger tables set up for dining. I will say it is a very nice looking and clean establishment. The two slices I had were plain and fairly bland. With all the other options in the area and beyond, I'd strongly recommend going to another place. read more

we came here for a quick bite before the wedding ceremony... to my surprise... this place is amazing.... The decoration of this place a cute... as we sat down, the waitress brought us some freshly baked bread... it was so hot that steam came up when i broke them... We ordered fried calamari as appetizer... and it was so fresh and so good... the marinara sauce is so different than all other places, it has a kick to it... we also order a margarita pizza and penne vodka... both are so fresh and so delicious... i would say this is one of the best pizzeria i have ever been to!!! read more

We stopped at Cafe Gino's while on a short trip with family. We always seek out good pizza when on Long Island, and Cafe Gino's did not disappoint! We stuck with the basic cheese slices and they were perfect, thin chewy crust and the perfect amount of cheese. We brought it to our hotel and our son couldn't resist a slice despite having just eaten a full meal. Perfect NY pizza that made some pizza-starved Mariners quite happy. read more

Service is good and the place has a nice decor but the pizza has gotten expensive and the quality has gotten worse. The sauce is the worst that I've ever had and the crust is like cardboard. I'll be taking the long walk to Toskana Pizzeria for the future. read more

My dance recital was at the S.P.A.C.E, and we went to Cafe Gino's for lunch, with my family and one other family we knew. We were waiting on line for a while. When it was finally our turn, we ordered our pizza and we waited soooo long. My sister and I sat at a table of two, and we started eating our pizza. Suddenly, one of the older workers comes to us and yells at us to move for no reason. Since I was 10 and my sister was 9, I thought it was very inappropriate for him to yell at children the way he did. Eventually, my mother came over and got upset with the man. He physically pushed my mom and my mom went ballistic. We had a horrible experience there. Their waiters were not great- especially the one we had to deal with. The food was okay. I just didn't get the usual pleasure of eating out. read more

We went there today and ordered a pizza. Cannot believe that they charged us $28 for a cheese pizza. Unbelievable will never go back to this place again that is highway robbery. If you wanted something extra on the pizza, it was eight dollars more +350 for a soda. I don't know where this place thinks they are. They are in westbury not in Garden City and they don't even charge that much for a pizza. read more

I am so surprised this place has any negative reviews! It's a solid pizzeria by all accounts. I live down the block and eat here all the time. The service is quick, staff is nice, prices are pretty typical, plenty of seating and always clean- to me the only downfall is that I wish they delivered! Ps if you have a hard time parking on post they have a small lot and entrance around back. read more

I have been going to Gino's for over 20 years, since it was a hole in the wall Pizza joint and the pizza has always been consistently delicious; the BEST in Westbury and quite possibly all of Long Island. When they moved into larger space and offered more of a selection, more deliciousness followed. This place cannot be beat when it comes to the pizza. I really wish they delivered, however, helps me keep my diet; I'd be eating pizza every day if they did. LOL Love you guys a Gino's. Grazie tanto!! read more

I've been getting pizza from Gino's since I was in middle school- I am 30 now. I've been going here since the owners twins worked here- which means I'm pretty loyal. I cheated today with one the best and wasn't disappointed! The sauce and cheese was so good, but o the crush is the best!

Stopped here with friends before going to The Space for a concert. Arrived at 6:30 and ordered 3 pasta dishes and a talapia dinner. After 1/2 hour started asking the waitress where the food was. Her stock answer was: its coming right out. After 45 minutes she said the delay was due to the fish order. Who cooks fish for 45 minutes? At 7:40, I spoke to the owner who apologized and said the waitress lost the order. A little honesty on the part of the waitress would have allowed us to order a pizza and a salad and still be able to eat. He also said the food was coming right out. At 7:50, I told the owner we were leaving. Suddenly the food appeared! Said we didn't want it but the owner attempted to make it right by boxing it up and giving it to us, no charge. With so many good restaurants nearby, will not be back. I hope someone can benefit from my experience. read more

Ordered from Cafe Gino's twice. I ordered chicken parm with pasta. How bad can chicken parm be? The first time there was a slight after taste as if the frying oil was not changed. The pasta was just fair. I figured it just was just an off evening for the place. The location is close to home, so the following week I ordered the same dish and again the aftertaste of the bad oil did not warrant another visit. read more

Don't come here .........i repeat don't come here if you want good food drive to another pizza shop somewhere else ..the owner is so cheap I came in there to get 2 slice of pizza and ask him if he can place it in a small box he got upset because I ask him to place in a small box he told me I am already giving you two plates and placing in a bag ..I told him again well I would really like it in a small box he told me that I just don't get it !!!! Didn't take the dollar but argue with me over a box for the pizza ..this is a pizza shop right ?? Don't pizza belong in a box ? Well what the problem ?? His own coworker had to talk to him in Italian and tell him just give him a box. And let it go ..which I also found it rude that they were speaking in another language in-front of me. First time here normally go to pizza joint down the block. Pizza is NOT memorable. Very bland. The atmosphere is okay. Service is good. They just need to be a bit more hygienic. The server did not wear gloves. He was touching things then the pizza. Most importantly, they don't have trays so if you're staying, you have to make multiple trips to the counter for your food purchase. If this place is a last resource then by all means enjoy!!! read more

Everyone knows that pizzerias are a dime a dozen here on Long Island, but Cafe Gino's truly stands out amongst the rest. First of all, the food is amazing (that's really why you're reading this review, isn't it?). Everything I've ordered at Gino's has been fantastic, from the pizza to the entrees to the chicken rolls. And let me tell you, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET A CHICKEN ROLL. You will devour it, and then probably order another one for the road. The decor is beautiful, and there is plenty of room to kick back and enjoy your meal while watching some TV. Maybe even enjoy a little espresso when you're done. The staff is also very attentive and friendly to deal with (and quite attractive if I must say so myself!). All in all, this restaurant is top notch and a must try for anyone who wants a taste of Italy. read more
