Coffee: I've lived in some major cities and LOVE local coffee roasters (and coffee in general) but the ones I've tried in the area (I hate to say) just fall short of expectations... actually to be honest, they completely suck. I'd say one roaster was pretty good and that was Summer Moon Coffee.. Maybe its just me but most of the other coffee roasters brew tasted the same, not very well balanced, either too strong or too mild. Cafe Dew made a perfect latte. Tried them a couple of times after that and wasn't disappointed. Going to come back and try some of the other brews they have but so far so good. Food: Love the mini doughnuts, perfect size where you can indulge without feeling guilty, and a great variety of flavors (Hint: make sure you get at least a dozen because the half dozen disappears pretty quick). Oh and the doughnuts are made fresh per order. Lot of brunch options. I had an egg bowl. Delicious. The meats they used taste fresh and overall the food wasn't over salted or oily. They are fresh made and topped right in front of you. Firm golden outside with white pillowy inside. Topped while warm with tasty toppings (Nutella and strawberry, marshmallow fluff and peanut butter, peanut butter and chocolate, etc). The result is a good balance of gooey goodness on top of a bite size donut, fresh cooked in fresh oil. - Breakfast Options - This place runs a build your own format or choose from prebuilt chef selections. I got the Santa Fe, my wife got the Peanut Butter Oatmeal with chocolate, strawberry and granola on top. Both were very good. The Santa Fe and hash browns were enjoyable. As a note, they seem to go light on salt/seasoning so if you're wanting bold flavors then this place might not hit home with every dish. On the other hand, for fresh, clean and simple flavors, I would say this is a great option. The bagel was appropriately soft, the toppings were well balanced. I'll be sure to check out other dishes on follow up visits. - Drink - The dark roast I ordered had good flavor. I asked for just a splash of half and half but am afraid it was a little heavy handed, which cut the roasted coffee flavor quite a bit. I thought this place was fun and unique! I had a caramel macchiato and we got a 24 variety donut box. They were gone pretty fast. I thought the donuts tasted great and couldn't decide if s'mores or the lemon blueberry was my fave. I'd definitely come back to try other flavors. I did not feel welcome here at all. I've been trying out different local coffee shops and decided to stop by with my girlfriend to study. We asked for the Wi-Fi code, but were told that we needed to order something first. Supposedly, they have a problem with people just using the Wi-Fi and not buying anything. I understand wanting to make sure that people are not just loitering in your shop, but it just felt kind of aggressive and offputting. I got the chai latte, which had good flavor, but was cold the first go around. I had them remake it, and this cup stayed hot even after 15 minutes and going to the bathroom, so I know the 1st cup was just not made correctly. I went to the bathroom, which has a sign very boldly saying that it's for paid customers only. I'm not even sure if that's legal, but again it was not what I was expecting. Inside this bathroom, which I paid to use apparently, there was no toilet paper or paper towels. My girlfriend said that one of the male workers was continually staring at her, making her feel uncomfortable. And when she walked to the restroom, he was looking at her even whenever she turned around at the door. Maybe it's because she didn't get something? We were not greeted when entering the coffee shop, or when leaving. The Food: The chai tea latte was good, I enjoyed the flavors, but the barista seem to have an attitude when I asked her to remake it. I don't believe that in the pandemic they should be offering to reheat drinks. When I checked in for the first time I got a coupon for two free sugar cinnamon donuts, and they were pretty good. They are pretty small, so six for five dollars is kind of expensive. I want to try some other flavors, but again the price is a bit much. You can get a full size Shipleys donut for a dollar. Basically the same price. I haven't tried any of their other food, but I liked that have different selections for lunch and breakfast. The space: The café is very small, with only seating for four people inside because one of the tables is closed down for social distancing. It's kind of cramped, and pretty cold if you are planning to stay there for studying, I would recommend it for grabbing a cup of coffee on the go. It's rather sterile and has a fast food set-up with a cramped ordering line. The menu has a variety of breakfast, lunch and drink offerings. And mini donuts. So we got a sampler of items: egg bowl, chicken saad sandwich, salad, bagel breakfast sandwich, coffee, donuts. The food was shockingly fresh and tasty! We were not expecting this. Painfully bad... no matter what style of espresso drink you order you will receive espresso filled to the brim with lukewarm or extremely hot milk, Better coffee across the road at the gas station. The smell of oil and grease fills the air as you enter the shop. As for the furniture it's dirty and mismatched, lack of cleaning in front usually correlates to lack of cleaning in the back.
