My sister's medium boneless ribeye came out more rare than my medium rare and she finally had to settle for ribs! Which were actually edible. Biggest problem was the cutlery! The serrated steak knives were so dull and bent, you couldn't even cut a tender steak if you got one. If you can't even give your customers a decent knife, don't complain when they send back a steak. I give the manager credit for apologizing and doing what she could but Expats beware. If you're craving a good steak, save your $ and go to Wolfgang's. I understand that things are different here in the PI. I'm amazed that there is so much variety among restaurants. But it is not the fault of the locals when the restaurant company gives them cheap tools and products just to cut costs! Bad cooking is something else, though. A horrible experience at a Mesa restaurant actually made my wife go back in the kitchen and show the chef in training how to make adobo! Overall, I love the PI and the local cuisine. I think I'll stick to the chain restaurants that I know for certain are consistent.

The place looked simple but elegant with high ceilings and walls, and counters decked out in neutral colors and wooden fixtures. A bright cake display shelf and a big, colorful drinks menu immediately greet you in front. The place serves a mishmash of Filipino and American foods. I had the Barbeque Ribs, their specialty. Meat was well-seasoned, very tender, and easy to remove from the bones. The sauce tasted great. You also get to pick 2 sides to go along with it-- I recommend the corn on the cob and java rice, or the mac & cheese. The Pasta Sardina is also a good choice if you want a flavorful but not too-heavy-on-the-sauce pasta dish. They have this one inventive dessert, the "Antipolo Crepe," which has the local Antipolo delicacies of mangoes, cashew, and "suman." It's funny but pretty cool that they made a regional dessert like that and it wasn't bad at all! It's a cafe so they had a variety of coffee offerings too although the cappuccino seemed way too ordinary... But for P99, I guess it was a good enough cup of coffee to go with dessert.

This place seems to be good because there were a lot of cars parked outside and you can see a lot of people dining here too, which got us all excited. The waiters were accommodating and we only had to wait a few minutes to get seated. Their menu is quite simple, sticking to classic Italian, American and Filipino dishes which are well loved. I got to try their Carbonara, which is a steal at Php 168! It was so creamy and seasoned perfectly! Another good dish from their menu is their Juicy and Cheesy Burger served with TLC and fries on the side. You can even choose your dip! Overall, our experience here was so delightful and I highly suggest this place. They also have a nice function room that you can rent for events or parties at a decent rate. The owners are nice and accommodating too!

Although the interior decor is much the same as in the US, it seems the clientele here seems to be a bit more high end... in used to seeing a bunch of club goers grabbing breakfast here as the sun rises on them. Anyways on to the food. Actually not horrible, I found it more like comfort food for those of you who miss the traditions of being stateside. The serving of chicken fried steak was huge, but the patty was thin, and the serving of hashed browns was also inadequate. But you know there's just something about having chicken fried steak, hash browns, and sunny side up eggs for breakfast that just brings a smile to your face! The bacon was like really thin, like shabu shabu thin! Like it broke off when i tried to pick it up. Pancakes were on point fluffy and tasted great! Overall, hey man! It's Denny's... in the Philippines! So hoorah!!
