This is the kind of place that makes venturing off the beaten track worth it. We were travelling through, and based on reviews, decided to stop here instead of a fast food restaurant. Delicious choice! Friendly staff, wide range of food options, cute atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone. Bacon was amazing, chips and fries both nice and crisp and salted. Definitely a 5 star joint.

A lunchtime must-stop for fellow Route 66 travelers! Just off the highway in downtown Odell. Among many items, their club sandwich is fantastic!!

What a wonderful hidden gem! Everything we had was homemade and delicious. Top 5 best French fries of my life and the staff was delightful. We sat outside as it was a beautiful day, but the inside was cute and had a great ambiance. Will certainly be back.

My husband and I checked out this cute diner this week for breakfast. The reviews are so positive that I was super excited to have the opportunity to be in the area to check out this place. It did not disappoint. We were there for breakfast. I had a veggie omelet and cafe potatoes and toast. My hubby had his standard two eggs over-easy, bacon, cafe potatoes, and toast. The veggies on the omelet were fresh and it was cooked perfectly and served piping hot! The cafe potatoes were excellent and we can't wait to to go back to have them. The server was friendly and the decor is super cute. If you have a chance check them out.

Decided to stop at this cute little diner to grab some dinner with my son Asked the waitress what was good, she gave us her opinions and we both chose the burger with egg & bacon! She suggested the hand cut fries, normally I'd pass on them, but she said they were a must! And they for sure were! Everything was fresh and hot! We will be back for sure! Lexi was the sweetest waitress ever! This is for sure going to be a regular stop for us

We couldn't have picked a better spot. We were seated immediately and notice the place was filled with mainly locals. Our server stopped by right away to take our drink order and ask us if we had any questions. She was so nice, so friendly, offered great recommendations and was fun to talk to. Mr. Bee ordered the Monte Cristo Wrap and I tried the house made veggie burger. The food came out quickly and was nice and hot. The Monte Cristo Wrap was really quite good and had a lot of nice flavors and was seasoned well. My veggie burger was different but delicious. It was also seasoned well and I managed to eat every last bite and thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered a side of Fried Mac and Cheese and it too was very different than what you would expect. The mac and cheese is not shaped into balls, battered and fried. They take their mac and cheese and smash it down on the grill to cook it. So good. It had lots of crispy bits on it. The food was fresh and really well cooked. The place is like an old fashioned diner and friendly service with a smile. The atmosphere was fun, and everyone seemed friendly and were enjoying their meals. We were full, but when our server came by and said we have fresh made pies, Mr. Bee jumped on that bandwagon. We got a piece of coconut cream pie to go. We stopped in the park in the middle of the square where there are a few benches and picnic tables. We enjoyed our pie, it was scrumptious while enjoying the beautiful sunny day.

It's a pretty casual place that's better than it looks. Can get crowded but things ran smoothly last time in. The food is basic diner stuff with a few better things. A popular place for the local residents to gather. It's one of the many local bars and restaurants around here. This seems to be one of the better ones. Has the main dining area. While waiting for an order go check out the back with the gaming area to play slots. It's $2.50 for domestic beers. That's good. It's about $7 for appetizers. The Pretzel Bites are the best of these. Fluffy and comes with a dipping sauce, choice of beer cheese or something else. The rest of the menu features classics like breakfast including eggs, omelets, and toast, and lunch has things like burgers, fish, and pasta. For sure it's a place for locals as well as tourists looking for classic diners and grills. It's got a lot of various memorabilia. They're closed Sundays.

Emancipation is a brewery not a lot of people have heard of because it's not close to anything of course. Has a surprising amount of variety on tap and in cans to go. They may not have a whole lot but everything is full of flavor and quenches one's thirst. Even with it being a smaller brewery it still has quite a lot. It's got several of their own beers on tap along with a few others. There's also more cans in a refrigerator. Has the basics along with a few interesting ones. More than just the IPAs and the usual. It's about $7 a pint. The Farmer's Favorite is the IPA and is a pretty good medium one that's crisp and smooth. Has a few things to snack on here. It's about $3 for the Krack Mix. Basically like Chex Mix but it's made locally. They also will let you bring in stuff. Great place that's pretty hard to find the first time going here. It's located on N. 2500 East Rd. a few miles north of Fairbury surrounded by corn fields pretty much. They're closed Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
