Go! My friend and I voted this as our favorite breakfast spot that we had tried in Berlin. We arrived on a Monday morning around 10am and it was moderately busy. We were sat right away. It was a cold morning so we sat inside and decided to get warm coffee drinks. What we ordered: Tumeric latte Oat milk latte Eggs Benedict plate Avocado Squash plate The service and food were very delicious! Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. I like that their plates also come with fruit on the side. It's a nice touch! The food presentation is excellent! I wish we had time to come back again and try their other food offerings. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The blueberry sauce was delicious and fruity. The banana and caramel pancakes were to die for, it'll definitely put you into a food coma. The sandwich was good but a little messy to eat. The bread is crusty and the filling was flavorful. The eggs Benedict came with either bacon or prosciutto. A colleague and I decided to take a break from the office and spend our morning at Café KRONE and we never regretted that choice. This was hands down one of the best - if not the best - breakfast experience in Berlin so far! The staff was great and really made you feel welcome and - in combination with the great interior and the comfy furniture - you almost felt at home... You think the best parts have been told? Wait until you hear about the food. Just thinking about it makes me drool already. We had the "Swiss Alps" (scrambled eggs with cheese), the "Avocado Squash" (Brillant!) and "Tante Mali" (pancakes with berries) and they all were really good. Krone was a beautiful space. Warm, inviting and cozy inside all the while with a fantastic patio in the front. The service was attentive and courteous but I wouldn't expect anything less. The menu is attractive! Almost reminds me of a farm to table approach with all the fresh seasonal fruits and vegetable options. Every single item sounds like it's been expertly paired for a divine experience. While the food does taste fresh and adequate I would say it sure sounds a lot better on paper than it actually tastes. All the items are very lightly seasoned and herbs are used very sparingly. So much so that the food tastes very true to it's ingredients and that may not be a great thing. I was looking for that sauce or that herb to really link the items on the plate together but I didn't find any. I was looking forward to transformed ingredients with unique visual, textual and aromatic experiences but that also was not the case. The often raved pancakes with apple compote tasted unimaginative. Pancakes were slightly chewy and lacked that distinctive buttery, floury (that warm, homey smell I would call it) aroma. The apple compote was just plain chopped up apples in a sweet and rather tasteless sauce. read more

A flat white and an espresso The food was simply special: very well selected and better presented. The ham was San Daniele, super sweet and tasty; the finocchiona (basically salami with fennel gems) reminded me of my homeland Tuscany. The cheese choice was a good balance between salty and sweet. One special point was the bread; I don't know whether bio or less but delicious and hot. Both with the scramble eggs I've got a small portion of a delicious salad, made up of rucola and lettuce (probably) and some sauce on top Unfortunately the espresso wasn't the one I usually like. Really too strong to me. I couldn't got it finished; also the flat white was hard to drink because of this The place is one of the nicer I've joined so far in Prenzlauerberg. We got a small table close to a bright window. Go there in a decent hour in the morning otherwise it will be hard to find a table. My favourite cafe in P-Berg. I love literally everything here. The space itself is great - not too big, not to small, cosy and stylish. They have very good wifi and always nice, chilly music in the background. There's filter coffee with unlimited refills. Food is good (although pricey) but, most importantly, they also serve porridge (so difficult to find in Berlin's cafes). Porridge - it's the heavy milky type that keeps you full for the whole day but super delicious! One of my favorite places for brunch in Prenzlauer Berg. First, their coffee is reeeeaally good, in my opinion. Anything with eggs here is pretty good, and their pancakes are definitely a treat.
