Super aesthetic! The portion was huge and the presentation was even better. Everything in here is pink, even some of their drinks. Picture worthy place to come to. Would recommend!

Cappuccino and pink macchiato

Great ambiance. Super cute place. Service was quick and friendly. We stopped in for coffee only so I cant say anything regarding the food.

Exotic Pancake

The food was terrible, dry and expensive. $3 for a tiny glass of water, $25 for a single terrible pancake with a Chanel logo out of powdered sugar?!?!? Absolute millennial trap, the menu literally said "perfect for boomerangs". I would not recomend to anyone, it was an absolute waste. Left hungry and upset.

Farmer Breakfast

First off the place is beautiful, a picturesque place for your instagram posts. The dishes are huge so my recommendation is to come hungry. The French toast served with brioche was lovely and picture perfect. The theme seemed to be pink as the wall to wall flowers. My bagel with a fried egg and cream cheese came with pink cream cheese. A surprise for sure. The bagel was not crunchy which was a bit of a disappointment. We also had the farmer's breakfast which was huge. This was quite unique in that it wasn't a skillet of hash brown sausage and eggs. It had a sauce of some kind that was unexpected. If you are looking for different this was a good choice

Solid 4-star insta-influenced breakfast. Vibes in this place are cute, from the rose wall to the pink napkins - your eyes are in for some fun. The plating of the entrees is also cute. Flavors are good, but not the key focus. That said, if you are eating pink goat cheese on sourdough, it's an experience amongst itself. They have a variety of options and it's very vegetarian friendly. The staff are also nice, just be prepared for those around you shooting Instagram pics :p. Overall, yes I would recommend for a cute place with good vibes and a decent breakfast.

Matcha latte

This was definitely a brunch to splurge on but it was worth it! The original draw to this cafe is the floor to ceiling flower decor and the minimalistic feel. The food, drink, and service made it all worth coming in. The Turkish egg brunch option was served with black tea and an assortment of artesian breads. The brunch was delicious as was the matcha latte. I would recommend coming in whether you're alone or dining with a large group, they have room for all types!

French Toast

Happy we strolled past this paradise of pink! The aroma drew us in; the menu and warm welcome made us stay. Hip music and cheery, elegant atmosphere-- the perfect place to savor excellent coffee and a gourmet breakfast. Varied menu has something for everyone. Thank you, Elena.

Excellent food and service. When in Zurich, you have to stop in for the atmosphere and the pink hot chocolate.

Haus Hiltl has been serving vegetarian food since 1898 and that makes it the oldest vegetarian…read morerestaurant in the world. Imagine telling someone in the 1800s, one day people will voluntarily eat tofu and then proving them wrong for over a century. The buffet system is dangerous because you pile it high, weigh it, and dig in. Honestly a fantastic concept. Great location near the train station too, which is helpful because you may need immediate transportation after accidentally eating your body weight in all the options.

Nice place to eat with children and a family group. I have never been a fan of vegetarian…read morerestaurantsm but this place, which our daughter--in-law chose asa result of a previous trip to Zurich, overcame my skepticism. The place is located on the third-floor of a department store, to which we ascended ina nclear elevator (a hit with the kids!) At first it looked as if we would have to sit on an enclosed outer deck, about which I was unenthusiastic because it was chilly, but while we were standing online to pay for food some inside tables opened up and I grabbed them All fodf is available buffet style, including mainstream Swiss dishes plus an assortment south Asian and middle eastern dishes. Lots of good choice, plus a number of dessert, I was plenty full by the time I left. Would be glad to come back to try again

Very cute cafe in the middle of Zurich. It is a great place for coffee or breakfast. We went there…read moreon a Saturday morning and it got busy very quickly. The tables are small and it may not be easy to have all your food on one of them. We had eggs (over easy) and an omelet with Latte and hot chocolate. The food was great and came out at a good pace. It was a great experience.

Yelp Review 2026 #47:…read more Cafe & Conditorei 1842 is "Zürich's oldest cafe". This place is a conditorei (has a sit down area to enjoy pastries and sweet baked treats) and not a confiserie (take away truffles and candies). They claim to have the best hot chocolate and I would have to disagree. They do have good desserts to pair with their hot chocolate. The building its in has been around since 1824. The bakery opened in 1874 but the cafe didn't actually open until March 2019 so, the name is misleading. They have indoor seating and also patio seating in front or in the back. They have smoothies, milkshakes, matcha, cold brew options, sparkling wine options, ice cream, patisserie items, and brunch food. You have 6 options for their hot (or cold) non-alcoholic chocolate: classic, with marshmallows, with whipped cream, with chili flakes, with a shot of fresh ginger, with a shot of espresso; or 4 alcoholic hot (or cold) chocolate options: rum, amaretto, Bailey's or Grand Marnier. Passion Fruit Panna Cotta: Nice balance of bitter dark chocolate and tart Passionfruit. The panna cotta was creamy and soft. Dark chocolate holding everything together. I love Passionfruit and chocolate combo. 4.5/5 Chocolate Mousse: You can't go wrong with anything chocolate in Switzerland. This has white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate, and cocoa nibs at the bottom. Great creamy texture. Pillowy like marshmallow. 4/5 The Classic Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream: Underwhelming. I've had better hot chocolate somewhere else in Zürich. It's a step up from Swiss Miss. 2.5/5 The Classic Cold Chocolate with Whipped Cream: The same as what was mentioned above but the cold version which is lukewarm. 2.5/5 Service was good though.
