From the moment you walk in you can appreciate the chandeliers and concrete walls. I loved the decor and was happy to see that the food was even better. Everything was delicious and tasty. The dried fig salad was probably one of the best I've ever had. Hats off to the cooks and ‍ chef. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely stop by and recommend it. Cheers!

Perfect place for a group dinner if you enjoy sharing family style! POSITIVES: high ceilings & really nice ambiance, spacious with many tables for groups, small plates for sharing, decent food at decent prices (remember...decent prices for Swiss standards) NEGATIVES: some of the meat dishes were too dry and the halva dessert was not like traditional halva, it's kind of strange and doesn't taste very good. Service was mediocre, they weren't super attentive. TIP: make a reservation beforehand for dinner, they get pretty full!

It's delicious if you like super sweet salad dressings!!

Location is Great! But food was not as expected. Appetizer " from the chicken skewers a few pieces were raw in the middle" Ordered two main course on one with chicken breast a request to have instead of potatoes some spinach which was on a other main course, they acknowledged but brought me a salat" Asked for hummus with the main simply forgot it. The other main course was lamb chops, from 4 pieces 3 pieces were practically only fat. My dinner company was disappointed same as me... The salads and the food contain a lot of Oil and lots of sweetener which is totally unnecessary.

I think I found my favorite restaurant in Zurich !!! The food is almost the same as Maison blunt (same owner). Oriental food. But the interior is really cool. It has a cosmopolitan feeling. It's huge and you have space enough. you have a second open floor where you will find a bar. It looks very nice and very relaxed. The staff is really friendly and have a clue about the wine. It's normal priced for Zurich I would say. Don't forget to book in advance. A place to try out !!!!

This place is 4.5 stars, potential to be 5... It feels like this is the new hot spot in Kreis 4. Cafe Bebek is in a new building strip located at Badenerstrasse (Kalkbreite tram stop), along with other pretty cool new stores (beer store, Africa store, etc). It's a place for eating but also for drinks, and has a very relaxed yet creative posh interior design. Nice roomy building - pretty wide (like a horseshoe shape) plus a second level. Plenty of outdoor seating as well. The assortment is nicely varied, not too little but not overwhelming; and it has its special pleasantries. The drinks are simple yet delightful. Along with the alcoholic drinks, the non-alkies will love it here too. The peppermint tea is nice and plentiful - much better than Maison Blunt's peppermint tea, which has gone down in quality over time. I even suspect the owners may be related or the same to Maison Blunt. The chai masala latte is a nice interesting splash. The homemade iced teas are nice too. Food - Turkish/Lebanese style, very nice...similar to Maison... hmm... I do think this is a sister restaurant; but the much more stylish and upscale version. Feeling bohemian, go to Maison. Feeling poshie, come here. Love the chique gold chandliers...

Quite spacious but it's always packed so feels rather cozy.. Especially mixed age/types of people (couples, group, family and business suite-people) makes this place feel comfortable for everyone. Food is great. Bruch has options for A la carte or set. Cappuccino is at 4.50 CHF, extremely reasonable for Zurich where you barely find it lower than 5.50 CHF. Service is friendly, good and reasonably fast. You get plenty of bread if you order mezza set. Highly recommended any time a day or week.

Nice place, thanks to pleasant staff and interior. I have been sitting outside on a sunny working morning, enjoying the sunny weather: despite there was rush around, as it´s right next to a busy road with tram, the few bushes separating that lil garden hided me from the world around. I could have savoured their delish Bio-joghurt with nuts and honey and Veganer Hauskaffee mit Mandelmilch, Agavensirup, Sternanis, Zimt, Vanille which haven´t striked me that much :). They´ve got regular breakfast sets as well. Recommend it as a pleasant and trustworthy spot for trying out any meal of the day in the very center. I personally like their interior a lot.

This is an interesting place from the decor to the location to the choice of food. I don't quite understand the theme with the basketball decals on the wall to the gorgeous Star Wars-Death Star-like chandeliers. The upstairs feels quite fancy while the outside seating area feels a bit "grunge" like Frau Gerolds. It's easily accessible with the tram stopping right outside it and there's tons of seating on the ground floor or second floor where you can see the trains going by through the large windows. I like the middle eastern(?) menu but the food wasn't anything special. But overall the place is intriguing and worth stopping by for a drink if you're in the neighborhood or catching a movie nearby.

I like this place and escpecially the bar area upside. It has enough space and the service is fast. located at Kalkbreite and Kino Houdini, you have the tram station directly in front of Bebek. It is always crowded and you probably better reserve your place, if you like to go to eat inside. Forum Bar and Plaza Bar and Club is also nearby.

Was looking for something hearty and inquired about the quiches and opted for the bacon and garlic quiche. Got a latte macchiato as well. You can dine in and the quiche comes with a small salad. The latte macchiato had a layer of foam at the top and seems like they didn't sweeten it at all (sugar on the side) but it was perfect! I usually have a huge sweet tooth and love sweetness but I also can appreciate a good coffee as well, so for a sweet lover like me, the unsweetened version was amazing by itself and the foamed milk combination when you drink it was perfect. The bacon quiche was delicious as well!! They heat it up for you and it's a bacon, cheese with a crusted layer of goodness. Loved my first experience here and I can see myself coming back.

It was within an easy walk of our hotel, so we followed the recommendation. There were four of us and after eating such great food in Paris and along the Rhine in Germany, to be honest we were disappointed. We all had one of their soups. Ms T and I goulash soup and Tom Kha Gai respectively. I had a beer. These soups are not inspired, despite the recommendation. I would classify them as pretty institutional. My Tom Kha Gai had very little of the flavor that you expect. In fact we had a much better version on our cruise boat and the boat is not exactly the place to get great soups. There was very little lime or seasonings. Ms T's Goulash Soup was about the same. It did not taste of the rich paprika flavors it should have. I would classify it as average beef vegetable soup. We liked the little robot that delivers your food, but as for the food, it is OK, but don't expect to be impressed, if you like well flavored soups. And for $50 for two modest bowls of soup and one beer, I would expect better. This is a significant chain of restaurants in Zurich. You are getting fast-food quality.

The restaurant is…read morerelatively small and when we came around 9 am on a Friday, it was pretty full so we opted to sit at the bar countertop. My brother got a bacon omelette which he was not particularly impressed with and said he could make the same quality at home. I got the hangover brekkie which consisted of a pile of potato wedges smothered in cheese, a fried egg, 2 slices of bacon, a sausage, and herb cream cheese. This.... was so incredibly heavy - I love potatoes but couldn't only eat half of it. Part of it is because the chef puts the entire plate into like the microwave/oven once everything is plated so the cheese hardens too quickly and the potato wedges were mouth burning hot the entire meal. Even 15 min in, I was burning my mouth on them. The sausage also had an unusual texture and taste to it, I guess I'm used to American sausages but it just did not fit my palette. Also cream cheese is a strange pairing with this dish, something like ranch would have been better. The only redeeming quality was the bacon was perfectly crisp. The cappuccino Dihei was just the boost of caffeine I needed but when I read orange zest as part of the ingredients, I was expecting like finely grated orange, not a thick slice of orange peel hanging off of the cup.
