Written by a tourist who found this place via Instagram. Frankly, for the most up-to-date news, deals, and specials, follow their Instagram (café.de.luna). Honestly, that will give you the best idea of what their food and drinks look like. Was able to communicate somewhat in English and Mandarin, enough that they could confirm what was and wasn't available as well as what specific drinks and desserts entail. Super sweet women!
They're a very Korean-esque, Asian-inspired café with very cute desserts and drinks. If you're interested in their brunch items, those do have a cut-off time, so go earlier if you want to try those. Looked great, but I was told that they cut off at 4 PM, so I was too late. Otherwise, their drinks were very pretty and tasty, and I thought their pastries (my mango cheesecake) were very nice. From what they told me, they're very seasonal about their desserts. Side note, the blue-yellow ombre drink with the passionfruit is the blue limo/lemonade.
They have a ground and basement floor where the ground floor is good for parties of one or two. Downstairs is better for slightly larger groups, more private, and more isolated from the street sounds, weather, and smells. Also, love the clear front step and definitely appreciate the plants, the cute aesthetic, as well as how friendly they are if someone drops by to get a coffee or tea while walking their dog. There was this huge golden retriever that came in and everybody who was there at the time descended on the doggo haha!
It's equidistant to four different U-Bahn stations, and I think you're going to be walking unless you've really figured out the tram. If you're at the Weinbergspark (the nearby park) for some kind of event or to watch the sunset and want someplace to rest away from the main crowd or away from the cigarette smoke, I would recommend this café if they're open at the time. It really helped me on that front as they're just down the street. XD
But yeah, I definitely want to visit here again if I come back to Berlin. I had spoken to them about their upcoming bingsu at the time, and I've seen that they've fully added it to the menu since. read more
