I have tried several dedicated specialty coffee roasters in Berlin but now focus nearly exclusively on Bonanza. Big, rich, complex and wonderfully distinctive selections, really deftly roasted. My visit to Prenzlauer Berg was made especially worthwhile by an employee who not only knew the current selections in detail, but had excellent personal recommendations. She said she was particularly impressed by the La Pitina Natural Costa Rica, and WOW did she nail that. What a full-on flavor bomb those beans turned out to be, and her recommendation of the Akinyi Shamba Kenya was also knockout - - LOVE these coffees. After that visit I ordered them again online from here in Hamburg, and am again very pleased. I really appreciate Bonanza's service and dedication (not to forget superb buying and roasting!) across all facets of the operation. So grateful for the personal service, and for the exceptional attention to care that Bonanza provides. Absolutely top drawer.

While waiting for my drink (which did actually not take a long time at all), I realized that some of their cakes were gluten and dairy free so I took a slice of banane and coconut cake to go with my drink. I asked if there was almond flour in the cake which the waitress wasn't able to answer but I tried anyway. I took all of it to go. Both of the drink and the cake were really great, and the service was nice too, so it's a five stars for me, I'd love to go back there and I could really get addicted to this Iced Chai tea latte.
