I seated myself at a table inside and was promptly brought a menu (which is all in German by the way). I only ordered the Brot option from the appetizer section, as I did not want a full meal, and an aperol spritz to go with it. Everything was brought to me quickly, and it was all very tasty. The brot menu item is some slices of bread served with two different spreads. One was dill based (like tzatziki) and the other was a tomato spread. While both were good, I preferred the tomato spread slightly more. The bread went well with my spritz, which was my first by the way. It was refreshing, bubbly, and I liked the fact that I could still taste the alcohol. Over all this place is very nice, and a great stop if you're looking for somewhere quiet in Schwerin to relax away from crowds. The bathrooms were clean, the workers all very nice, and they had plenty of food options for any needs.

Als uns im Sommer 2018 der Landwirt mitteilte sich aus dem Geschäft zurückzuziehen, entschlossen wir uns den Oher Hofladen in eigener Regie weiterzuführen. Leider konnten wir die Erweiterungspläne am Standort in Ohe nicht umsetzen. So setzten wir alles auf eine Karte und hofften darauf ein passendes Objekt zu finden. Unser Wunsch nach einem Hofladen mit Café wurde in dieser wunderschönen Kate wahr. Diesen Ort werden wir zu einem Treffpunkt für Genießerinnen und Genießer machen. So sehr wie wir unsere Kinder Luca und Lia lieben, so sehr lieben wir es auch unsere Kunden mit Feinem zu verzaubern. Deswegen haben wir uns für diesen außergewöhnlichen Namen entschieden. The lady behind the counter was really cool. Although breakfast was over and some items were sold out, she told me what they had available and helped me pick something. The spinach quiche sounded good. And it was! Himalaya salt and black pepper at hand, it left me wanting another. Alas! The price was a bit steep at 4.50€. However it came with a simple side salad with fresh, beautiful looking vegetables and balsamic vinaigrette. I appreciate the effort; too many places are serving premix salads nowadays. I don't usually order filter coffee (prefer cafe crema/ americano) but my pocket change was limited today and it was the cheapest option. It came served with *warmed-up* milk on the side (nice detail) and a little biscotti. It also tasted good! Ok, Filter Coffee. You get a second chance. The locals are diverse. Great people watching from the window seats. The atmosphere is nice, cozy, and not overly cute as is the trend lately. The music is also pretty great. They picked some local station that plays many classics among other current pop hits from around Europe. I can't find anything against this place. The prices are acceptable considering that quality items and friendly service seem to be primary concerns here. 5 stars earned. I'll definitely come back.

The bread is nice but not warm. The flavors are subtle - nothing really screams out at you but everything is nice. I got a plate with meat, cheese and bread and my husband got a tomato and salami scramble with bread as well. They go heavy on the butter here, which I like (it's served pate style so you can use as much or as little as you like). The food is fairly light. I wasn't hungry anymore once I ate here but wasn't super full either and ended up getting a buffet for lunch later. The latte here is an absolute highlight not to be missed. The foam is just perfection. No free refills on the coffee. All in all I'm glad we went but I wasn't impressed enough to go back a second time.

We had been in Germany for 5 days and longed for simple, healthy bright flavors. There is nothing wrong with a traditional European breakfast, but we were ready for the food options at Taste. I selected an order of eggs and bacon, with a side salad and roll, and my wife choose to share a smoothie bowl. I admit I didn't understand what that meant, really. My first spoonful of smoothie with the layer of crunchy toppings was not only delicious, but also exactly what I needed. We should have ordered two! My only regret is that we had to move on to the rest of our trip and leave Taste behind.
