The dead cute Queenslander is lovely and open with a great park / glimpse of sea view outlook. As it's high on the bluff there's also a decent breeze. I went on a public holiday, so had to pay a surcharge but that's pretty standard. I shared a vegie fry up and pancakes with a friend, the eggs were soft poached (yay!) and the mushrooms and spinach were garlicky and tasty. Hash browns were also a nice touch. The pancakes were fluffy with a giant ball of ice cream. Shame the syrup was completely fake, but for less than $10 a serve what do you expect?

I went in for a scone and coffee. One scone was available and no cream. I went to leave, as who has…read morescones with no cream, right? As I was heading out, the owner made a point to say verbatim, "Don't even think about getting coffee at Valori (the coffee shop next door) . The coffee is way better here." I was stunned. How utterly disgraceful to use such an unethical strategy to try and get business. Needless to say, I walked straight out after informing him that I enjoy their coffee. We have walked past since and heard him outside trashing their coffee shop to other people too.
