My first time at Ceasars Windsor Canada. Who would of known that there would be another Ceasars besides the one in Vegas. Atmosphere: placed right along the Detroit River. From the lobby of Ceasars you can see a nice view of the Detroit River and across the GM building. Somewhat similar in architecture as the one in Vegas with Roman statues and decor. Rooms: we were lucky to have my mom's cousin comp us a room with a view looking out at the detroit river. awesome view! decent/ comfortable rooms. soft beds. good pillows. spacious standard room. clean. wish the toilet and shower were seperated. but other than that comfy. Service: supposedly it was a sold out weekend and all rooms were booked. however, had called room service for extra pillows and blankets. surprisingly they were quick to come and bring it up. thus far no complaints. Gambling Tables: $5 war, $5 blackjack, $5 craps. cheap tables! 2 floors of slot machines. Gym/Pool: decent gym equipement(see pictures below). no free weights. Small indoor pool. in door jacuzzi available. Overall: would definetly stay here again. 24hr gambling. nice restaurants. 1 cafe open most till late night. cheap drinks. last call at 130am. non-smoking at this casino. didn't get a chance to try out the buffet but IF ever I come back will do so. note: *not family friendly. read more

We spent about an hour trying to figure out where to park and how to check in. I have travelled enough over the years and have been to innumerable establishments in different countries but, Casino Windsor is as terrible as I have ever encountered, anywhere. There is simply inadequate direction for independent guests. There is poor signage, minimal and unfriendly staff and, in general, completely insufficient help way -finding in a ridiculous labyrinth only to end up 5 minutes from where we originally walked in. The first point of entry was where the lobby and check in point ought to have been.... it should have been at the round entrance on Riverside dr. Most hotels worldwide demonstrate this rationale. At that entrance sat a thoroughly uninterested security guard who tried to give us the 39 steps of directions to park and then get in! Honestly, it's utterly unacceptable. We have never been before so we were unaware of the rigmarole required to check in. We have mobility issues and given the state of affairs thus far, we did not feel comfortable allowing Caesar's employees to drive our expensive vehicle. Honestly Caesar's. This is a BIG thumbs down. What the heck are you thinking? Don't get me started on the elevators to the towers. We won't be back and won't be missed. read more

Caesars Windsor is the best casino in the area (in my opinion) - mostly because it's SMOKE FREE! We live in the Detroit suburbs and almost never go to the casino without crossing the river for this reason. In the spirit of disclosure, I'm not a big gambler, but my husband likes to so I've been to my fair share. Since it's in Canada, you can do some sports betting. Plus your dollar goes a little farther! In addition, a lot of the tables tend to have lower limits, which is great for more tentative gamblers like myself. They also have the best game of all time, Fortune Cup! :) This is a horse racing game with "live" miniature horses that can keep you entertained forever. The odds aren't great, but it's super fun, and you don't need to make big bets. MGM used to have this, but no longer... Even more reason to jump across to Windsor! read more

I would say that if you have ever been to the Caesar's in Las Vegas, you will be seeing double here but on a smaller scale. The Las Vegas one is definitely better and bigger with all its games and shopping, but this one is okay. It's geared more towards the gambler than the shopper so don't expect to have fun if you don't gamble. You probably wouldn't even be there if you weren't a gambler anyways. I liked that it still felt pretty upscale and was clean and pretty big. There are places around for you to eat, drink, and relax. I was at the hotel for a professional conference. The conference rooms were what we needed them to be. It was one of the better conference facilities I have been to in a while. The room decor was dated. Technology upgrades are very much needed. No one needs a clock radio anymore; people need multiple electrical outlets and USB ports. The bathrooms were big, garden tub and shower. There were more than a few options for dining to fit most every budget. Gambling is not my thing, so I can't tell you anything about the casino. I walked through, and that's about the extent of my interaction. They were very strict about checking the IDs of people who don't look eighteen and are trying to walk through the casino. Other amenities include a business center on the third and a gym. The one thing I loved about my stay was my room had a beautiful view of the Windsor Shores. If you are flying in from Detroit the best option to get to the hotel is to rent a car and drive over. It will cost about $70 to come over by cab or shuttle Me and a few collegues rented a car from DTW and drove over the bridge. You can also take the tunnel. Hotel parking was free. read more

We checked in 45 minutes before 3 and they charged us 20 extra dollars because it was before the 3:00 check in time. It immediately put a bad taste in my mouth. Our room was ready, but they said it was an extra 20 dollars anyway. We will never stay there again because of that. I've never heard of a casino hotel or any other hotel doing this. I try to go to Caesars Windsor casino about twice a year! I enjoy the casino much more than the casinos in Detroit, mainly Bc there is no smoking. But I like the fact that there are different slots at the Caesars casino, than at the other casinos. And I also like the fact that I can purchase the lottery scratch off tickets at the casino as well. I've never stayed overnight in the hotel, however, I have eaten at Johnny Rockets, Legends Bar, and the Market Buffet, in which I liked all of the food. I really didn't have any complaints at any of the restaurants. I've also been to a show at the Colosseum before, and it was cool! I would like to check the Spa out there, and maybe one of the nightclubs. I was at the casino last weekend, and enjoyed myself. Came here to lose a quick $40. Loved how the ATMs automatically converted cash into Canadian. Initially took out 40$ and bank got charged $37.50 US or something like that. Didn't really have the time to explore everything they had but did get to gamble a little bit. Only thing that sucked was that the lowest buy in they had was $15. Went over to the Canada side while visiting Detroit. This Caesar is the same company as the one in Vegas and you'll be able to get your membership card here too. Only thing is the perks are different and independent of its own benefits. This place seems a little more rundown and not as glamorous as Vegas. Tough to compare though. Only 18+ allowed to walk through the casino. Unlike Vegas you can't walk through with children even if you're not going to stop anywhere there. Overall similar games and good service. read more

Just a short drive over the bridge/tunnel from Detroit. Caesars Windsor is not comparable to Caesars Vegas. The shows and comedians that come are usually pretty good, B to C list. The rooms are nothing special, very basic even in the upgraded rooms, unlike Caesars Vegas. The staff and dealers are always friendly, and the table limits are always pretty low, you can always find a $10 craps or blackjack table on a busy Saturday. The drinking limit is 19 in Canada so you will always run into a kid from Detroit coming over to drink at the casino, usually very tame. I enjoy coming to Caesars Windsor Mainly because I won't leave smelling like a pack of cigarettes. The facility is no smoking, so you don't have to worry about someone next to you smoking cigarette after cigarette and blowing it in your face. read more

Very disappointed + annoyed and confused. We had high expectations. No problem checking in and getting ready for the Detroit Lions game. Came back to the hotel after the Monday Night game in Detroit, (after midnight) only to find shower not working, toilet not working and no sink water. Went to front desk and the young lady apologized that 'water maintenance' was scheduled for 12 to 6. She said, "You should have been informed when you checked in" (we weren't) and she pointed to a small print letter in a glass frame on the desk. She went to see her manager and offered to move us to the other tower AT 12:30 AM! We intended to shower and go play slots for an hour NOT MOVE FOR AN HOUR. No compensation or rebate offered. So, we chose slots and used the public washrooms and went to bed sweaty. Mickey Mouse treatment for what is supposed to be a classy hotel. M.I.C.-K.E.Y... M.O.U.S.E. In late September, I ventured on a road trip down to Windsor to see Tears for Fears at the Coliseum at Caesars Windsor. Tears for Fears had two shows in Ontario. The first was at Casino Rama the night before the duo played in Windsor. Technically, it would have been closer for me to go to Rama, but the seat selection was much better at the Coliseum. I got floor seats -- eight rows from the stage! My drive over to Windsor took a bit of time, especially through a ton of rain. Luckily, I managed to stop in Waterloo for lunch, and London to check in at my hotel and chill. I then headed over to Caesars Windsor. I knew that there was a parking lot where you could park and walk over to the casino. It was raining so hard that I decided to line up behind a ton of cars. It was for valet parking. Normally, I shy away from valet parking because there tends to be a charge associated with it. I looked up the details on my phone as I sat there in the car lineup. Free valet parking as a courtesy is what I had read. Wow! I was impressed. The woman who handled checking my car in was helpful and friendly. She directed me to where I should go after the show to fetch my car and to the doors that I needed to hit the Coliseum. I went inside the Coliseum. It's nice. Gorgeous! Naturally, you could buy drinks and hang out. The show was amazing. I loved being so close up. Everyone around me was into the music. It was an entertaining, memorable time. It was my first time seeing Tears for Fears. I am hoping that it isn't my last! After the show, I went to the area where you scan your valet ticket, which causes someone to magically fetch your car. Pretty cool! While waiting for my car, I took the elevator to the top floor of the Coliseum, just to browse. Thanks to my curiosity, I figured out where the merchandise table was! I got a t-shirt and headed back downstairs. I waited for my car. Naturally, there were a ton of concert folks also waiting for their cars. I would say that nearly half an hour later, my car came from the underground ramp. I could see it from the mirror. It then drove up next to me. I must admit that my car is breathtaking. Even the group standing next to me turned their heads at my car. Yep, it's my electric blue Scion iM and it's a good-looking car! I thanked the valet driver and tipped her. She wished me a pleasant evening. I did the same. I had a wonderful experience at Caesars Windsor. The next time I am in Windsor, I will consider staying at the hotel here. (12) read more

Stayed Nov 2017 5 nights. Cleaning and security staff were great. Front desk staff could use some work. Courtesy desk staff were helpful. Internet was pretty much non existent on the floor and only available in lobby. This is an issue which will give me pause for thought on booking there again. Room was decent size and clean. Having to walk through casino to get to the gym etc was a pain in the rump. Legends had decent food and service and Spagos had great service. The buffet staff were painfully slow and the food lukewarm. There was little to offer in the way of fish. They did have some no sugar added desert options though which is nice. The staff seemed disinterested and it was the same throughout. I can't quite pinpoint it but I wasn't made to feel "welcome". read more

Nice rooms and great service. Terrific friendly valets and room attendants, nice staff on the casino floor too. I was pleased with our room here. Comfy king bed, nice marble bathroom with a stand up shower and over-sized tub, all the amenities you could want. You have plenty of room here and a great view of the river, the bridge, Joe Louis Arena, even Belle Isle on the end rooms. Casino is nice, typical payouts on slots but a very nice setup. You feel less claustrophobic here than at other places. Safe to gamble by yourself in the wee hours to boot. The table games are a bit high limit wise. I usually play blackjack for a little cheaper. Food here is just OK. Go visit some of the great offerings around town instead unless you are comped or something. Our comped buffet was fine but nothing that made me jump up and down. Caesars Windsor always has me feeling nostalgic...takes me back to my 19-year-old days when my friends and I would go to Windsor for bar hopping and gambling. 'Caesars Windsor' was previously 'Casino Windsor' with old decor, machines, and carpeting. Since it's renovation and buy-out as Harrah's property, it is better kept and more accommodating to (Total Rewards) members. We visit often due to the awesome shows they have just across the river. We have seen so many at the Colosseum; musical performances, comedy stand-ups, and lectures. I have attended several jewelry auctions as well. The casino floors offer a lot of table games and slot machines in various denominations. It is ALWAYS BUSY. I have yet to come here, even when there isn't a show, and see empty tables or slots. There is no smoking allowed in the facility, which makes it that much more enjoyable. In Detroit, all I smell is smoke everywhere and I can't even stand the stench of my clothing on my way home. It's also nice use the beverages stations when feeling thirsty; they have one on each floor. The only reason it falls short of 5 stars is the dining. There are several restaurants: Neros Steakhouse, Market Buffet, The Artist Café, Legends Sports Bar, Pronto Café, Taza Mediterranean Grill, and Johnny Rockets. Legends is ok, but their service is slow. Johnny Rockets is a chain and tastes generically good. The Artist Café is awful and Market Buffet uses too much salt in all their food. I have yet to try Nero's Steakhouse, but hopefully they have the best tasting food as it is the most expensive restaurant there. I also have no tried Pronto's. My favorite place if I have to sit and eat is Taza Mediterranean Grill. Their food is excellent and everything we tried tasted fresh with full flavor. I have stayed in the hotel a few times. They have beautiful views (upon request) and comfortable large rooms. I would recommend this place for a "stay-cation" or just an evening out in beautiful Windsor, Ontario, Canada. A group of us stayed at Caesars Windsor for a wedding. The experience was hit or miss in some areas but overall, it was okay. Make sure you follow the signs as you are coming in. There is a valet parking and then the self parking. We thought we had to use the self park lot to cart all of our stuff across to the hotel, but I believe you can park in front of the valet area and unload. The hotel itself is a maze. The self parking lot to the lobby of the hotel is VERY far apart. Make sure you have your ID handy because you need it to enter the casino...walk down some stairs...up an escalator, then across the casino floor and then down a long hallway, then you make it to the lobby. Then you find out you are in the other tower so you have to show your ID again to walk all the way back where you started. I've heard there is a shortcut but I didnt get a chance to see it. I stayed in both the Forum and the Agustus Tower during this say. The Forum being the older of the two. It is close to the casino, the Starbucks, and a few different bars and restaurants inside. Our one friend (the bride) went to eat at the deli but didn't have her ID so they said she couldn't eat there at 11 am in the morning. The Forum tower is older and we got a room with 2 very small double beds. We were fairly disappointed with this since we were paying $260 a night. The bathroom was nice with a tub and a shower. Lots of room to get ready and a nice full length mirror on the back of the door. At least the alarm clock had an AUX cord so we could play some music. The Agustus tower was beautiful but they ran out of rooms with 2 beds so we got a king with a pull out sofa. The pull out was not comfortable and didn't come with bedding. We had to call the front desk to get some. The bathroom was the same as the other tower. While the layout of the hotel and the rooms suffered, the service staff was amazing. Everyone was very kind and always said hello with a smile. Room service was quick and quite yummy (we got the 2 egg breakfast and the pancakes, enjoyed by all). Anytime we needed something, even if it was at 2 am, they were happy to provide. The security staff on the other hand, was very hit or miss. Some would be very welcoming and happy to make small talk. Others would tell you where to specifically stand if you were not in the right spot (in front of the podium vs beside it) and just generally not happy at all. We felt that some just wanted to waste your time. With the prices we had to pay and the overall feel of the hotel, I would probably consider staying nearby at the Riverfront Hotel. I've stayed here before and it is much more affordable and just a short walk away. read more

Was in Detroit for business and thought, Canada is right across the river, why not hop over and check out Windsor. Caught the tunnel bus (really easy to take), which drops you off right by Caesars. I gave an extra star because this casino is mostly smoke free, and for someone who is a non-smoker who hates the smell of smoke/2nd hand smoking (all of the casinos i've been to are just riddled with smoke). I appreciate that they have a separate section of the casino for smokers. There's also a few options for food here and I really appreciate that there is a starbucks here! read more

Nothing special, not clean, not a fan. What can I say about a room, so dusty that my allergies kicked in? Just that. It was dirty. The bed linens were white, looked clean. The towels were white, looked clean. But there was layers of dust everywhere we looked - in the bathroom, on all light fixtures, on the desks, on the drawers, by the window, on the broken toilet paper roll holder, just everywhere. Why can't the cleaning ladies actual clean - they can tuck a corner of a bed in tightly, but can't run a dust cloth along the edge of something? We took pictures, it was so baffling how dusty the place was. We have just never had great experiences when we stay here. This time, the room had a decent view (last time was some construction area near the river). The room was a nice size and we really loved that the bath tub and shower are separate. I like the counter space, built in blow dryer and the fact that they provided two regular coffee packets in the room. The bed was okay to sleep in. The pillows were nice, but were very flat. We had issues figuring out all the layers of bedding since they do not use fitted sheets to separate out the layers. Anyway - I'm not a fan. I would not recommend this hotel - it had weird stale smells in the room besides - like remnants of a smoking establish gone away. The gambling is fine. Considering the name, I expected a much better stay. granted it was quiet and clean but the services are lacking. The spa still isn't open, no room service, tv channel selection is awful. This review is for the Market Buffet. Went to the casino for a few hours and decided to grab some lunch. For two people the buffet was $45CAD. You have quite a few stations to pick from, but food was mediocre at best. In all honesty it lacked taste. I didn't try the cook to order stations and maybe it is better than the selection that is put out, but I doubt it. As for the casino, I went on a Wednesday and stuck to the slots. Plenty of ATM's that exchanges USD's and allows winning redemption. . I'd visit again for the casino but not the food. read more

I was on vacation, yes, but we have a little one and it drove me crazy that we couldn't easily stay in contact. There are several restaurants & bars in the hotel/casino. We stopped by their Buffet, because you just do when in a casino, Legends Sports Bar, and Johnny Rockets. Yes, Johnny Rockets is a chain, but the Canadian version offered poutine and it was addictively yummy. The Buffet actually had good options that I thought were better than the Buffet we ate in Vegas (Circus Circus) with a Mongolian grill, Build Your Own Pasta, Pizza, Asian Fusion, Meat Carving, and Soups/Salads. The real treat are their desserts, however! It is in its own section of the room and I could have made it a meal in of itself. Legends was your typical sports bar, with sports betting allowed, but their poutine stood out from the rest. They offer a nightclub on the weekends, they have several strategically placed smaller bars, and The VU which obviously offers a beautiful "view" and delicious cocktails. The slots were loose, blackjack was a blast, and we managed to play on our money for 2 days--can't beat that. Join the Rewards club, if you aren't already a member, to get money off of your stay, food, and gambling. Such a neat place. I'm sure we'll be back. My husband and I stayed at Cesars Windsor Hotel on February 6th- 8th as well as February 10th-12th. We traveled by train over 5 hours and when we came back from gambling we wanted to have showers to find out that we had absolutely no hot water. We called the front desk and they called maintenance who had to call a plumber. The plumber made it so it was luke warm that we could have a quick shower. We were told to tell the front desk in the morning but it is such an inconvenience to have to switch rooms. The next night we went to the buffet and I had shrimp in my stirfry that was cold. We decided to go swimming that night and the health club was very nice the hot tub not so much. Where all the foam was in the middle of the there was a layer of brown filth. We also ended up showering down at the pool since we had no hot water. We ended up talking to the front desk to get a late checkout and we were asking about using a $50 room voucher for signing up at the casino. We told the front desk that we will think about it and let them know. We were staying at another place for a few days to call the hotel to book 2 more nights with them to find out that the night we called was already booked without our knowledge. When we stayed on the 10th-12th we had no internet which really was an inconvenience since I am a full time student and needed to submit an assignment at 11:59pm and by the time I was able to it was 2:00pm. I had to call the front desk with my cellphone because our phone didn't work at all. For this being a 4 diamond hotel I felt like it was a 2 star motel. WE WILL NOT BE BACK AGAIN!!!! I'm staying here for the first time. Very nice and clean room! The bathroom is giant with a separate shower and bath. Refrigerator, coffee pot, flat panel TV also in room. Valet parking is free if staying here. Room prices were very reasonable during the week (a lot cheaper than the rundown Hilton Windsor). Restaurants could be better: Mediocre sports bar, grand buffet closes at 8PM, Nero steak house not open on Monday and Tuesday. They also have a Mediterranean place. Nice workout room with tv's on all equipment. Nice pool and whirlpool. Friendly staff but the concierge tries to steer people to restaurants that he gets commission from. You will get lots of exercise from walking around. Casino of course. Most card minimum stakes are $10 and $15 for blackjack during the week. Grand Buffet - lots of foods but low on quality. I like coming here because it's non-smoking and the hotel rooms are very nice. As far as the restaurants go in the casino, not that great. However if you are ok with pricey, Nerros is good. Be sure to visit the total rewards desk to get a players card so that you get credit for your gambling and purchase of food and alcohol. Yes, the bridge and tunnel are expensive, time consuming and not always a pleasant experience. However, if you want to venture just far enough away to make you feel like you aren't home then spend the day or grab a room here. We come here on a regular basis, and though Windsor isn't what it was when I was younger, there are still many things to like including Caesars. The casino is non smoking, which means there aren't ashes all over the slot machines. The exchange rate is favorable, so you can prolong your losses for the night. The casino does look like a Vegas style casino. The sports book is a fun way to watch games. You can only bet parlay but still fun to see all the game on big screens. Here comes the fun part. They want your business. If you go a few times along with getting a players card, you will start getting room, concert, meal, and gift offers. I'm not suggesting to go there and go crazy but because we go fairly regularly we have access to many free tickets, get upgraded rooms, comps, and free play often. Since this is a Harrah's property, you can utilize you play here to possibly get comped rooms in Vegas or Atlantic city, or wherever they have properties. The only thing(s) keeping this from a 5 star review is the border and that several of restaurants (Spago, Johnny Rockets, and Tim Hortons) in the casino are not really part of the casino so if you want to use comps, you will have to pay more when compared to the places they do own (Nero, buffet, and Legends) read more

My favorite close to home casino. The best part is it's smoke free so you don't leave smelling like an ashtray. There's always plenty of slot machines and table games to choose from. The whole atmosphere is more laid back than the Detroit casino's. The hotel rooms are large and spacious with a modern decor and the free WI-FI throughout the hotel and casino is always appreciated. Coming to Windsor is a nice overnight getaway that's close to home. read more

Very pleased and surprised with the fact that there was no smoking in this casino at all. It was nice to actually be able to enjoy the atmosphere without breathing in smoke. I didn't hear a lot of machines making noise but it was still a very nice trip to the casino. read more

Our stay at Caesars Windsor was awesome! The room was massive with a sitting area as well as a shower and nice soak tub in the bathroom! The decor was Elegant and inviting. Our view was of the river and Detroit skyline. This hotel is definitely worth staying if you have the chance! The casino itself was slow on the night we went and did not have much luck compared to our other visits. Overall a very enjoyable thing to do while you are in the Windsor area. read more

This Caesars property is is quite lovely! Being that I am from Vegas I am used to the over the top casinos- I do love that you can clearly tell this is a Caesars property by the service, décor, and overall atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are well maintained. There are 2 floors for gaming as well as a selection of table games. This property offers a variety of dining options to choose from- with options ranging from fast and quick to fine dining. Overall this is a great property and I would recommend it! read more

My wife and I came to Caesars Windsor for a show on our Anniversary and stayed the night. While the Casino is non smoking, it was smoking at one time and you can still smell the smoke in the walls/ceilings. The rooms are ok, but nothing special and rates are at a sky high premium when there is a show on a weekend. Very expensive for what you get and the bathroom had a lot of wear and tear. One positive is free parking. I am looking for the positive. The other is the friendly check in staff. See another positive. If you are there for a show and plan to eat at the casino before make sure you start early as the restaraunts get very busy. We ate at Legends Sports Bar. It was ok, but not memorable. The wait staff was excellent. Caesars Windsor in November is not a great place. read more

What a disappointing stay at this hotel. Started with a cancelled flight in due to weather in my departing city. My stay was cut in half, to 1 night and the hotel STILL charged me for my room. Said hotel was sold out, yet my colleague who had been there already said hotel was super quiet, with many empty rooms on her floor. Ridiculous. The place is a maze, you can't figure out where you are or where you are going, and it starts with trying to find the valet when you are pulling in. The signs are small and hard to read, so don't drive too fast or you will miss them! The staff, from check in to check out, was rude & nobody cared or was helpful. The only nice person was the valet gal who brought our car around at 5am this morning. It's also ridiculous that you can't call down from your room for your car, unless you are a 7 star member....what is that? The room was in desperate need of a remodel and a heavy cleaning..... And could not have been further away from the lobby. Found out later there was a NEW tower, right off the lobby, and for one night it would have been nice to not have to walk a mile to the room. I was here for business, and will be in Windsor multiple times in a year and I would rather stay across the water in Detroit and drive in, than stay at this property again. read more
