My husband got a comp room for us to stay here two nights, "room type assigned on arrival"--thinking it's probably either the Luxury or Premium Room with King Bed. At check-in, we got upgraded to the Senator Suite!! The suite is a one-bedroom with a separate living area with couch & dining area and an extra half bathroom--also has a fridge and coffee machine. Very spacious, modern decor, and clean. Bed was comfy. I loved the suite!! Casino is fairly small, but nice! They do check ID right before entering the casino. Beware, it's a smoking casino but it's pretty well ventilated. No free drinks while you gamble here and didn't see any cocktail waitress come around the slot machines--had to get drinks at the center bar or sports book bar myself. read more

I went to the Danville casino for Culture Club which was great the venue was well set up the acoustics were not that bad and conveniently away from the casino portion of the venue. The only downside was they had very little water to sell with alcoholic drinks being the for front. There was some sodas available but they ran out of water where the concert was held and you were not allowed to go to the casino portion after entering the concert area! The casino was your typical casino atmosphere it is still weird to walk into a building and smell cigarette smoke but it also bring back some memories. Will be back read more

(Concert-venue review) I was surprised to learn that this Casino actually has some big acts come through. I got to see Heart which was absolutely spectacular. Of course it drew a fairly older crowd, but it was absolutely appropriate for that older crowd because it was an indoor mega conference room sort of set up with comfortable padded seating. Normally, I would complain about the vibes being off, but it was comfy. The acoustics weren't incredible because it was, after all, more of a huge conference room than an amphitheater. However, they were able to project the sound really effectively with speakers and really all of the seats in the space were pretty good in terms of stage view. The one significant criticism I have is that the food and snack situation was really lackluster. After you scanned your ticket, you weren't allowed to exit based on what the security guard told me after the tickets scan. They really only had things like cans of Pringles and soda bottles. Complete missed opportunity to sell tasty event food. Also, the food options in the casino space were terrible in terms of price and quality, so it definitely would be handy if they did something special for concerts. I can't really speak to the casino portion because I really didn't utilize any machines. I did pass through security holding out my ID and the security guard totally waved me on with this look on his face like how dare you even think about having your ID out you old person lol. Definitely a gut punch, but I guess I'm at the age where maybe the ID isn't necessary. This place is gigantic, it's loud, and there are clearly a ton of regulars, which is pretty depressing. However, I would come back here for another concert if another act came through that I was really into. Visited this casino for the first time very recently, and this review will just be about the casino experience. I did not stay in the hotel, or have anything to eat or drink while there. As expected, giant modern slot machines are everywhere, and mostly encircle the table games areas which are mostly in front of the restaurants. There is plenty of space to walk between games with people seated, even on a busy Saturday night while I was there. I don't have any interest at all in slots, but my friends do, and they highly enjoy playing the machines here. There seems to be bettings amounts available for any player, from the penny slotters to people with more money to burn. That's great. The smoke on the edges of these areas is not bad at all. I still find it amazing we somehow allow people to smoke ONLY in casinos. In the heart of a bunch of machines, you may find it more acrid. Thankfully, most have given way to vaping, and the casino is well ventilated. On to the table games. I have one big negative here. A minimum $25 per bet on craps ($5 for hard ways and other bets) is ridiculous, and is keeping people from participating. Maybe they lower these at off-peak times... but I love to play craps, and can't play the strategy I like for $100-$125 per shooter. No thanks. That is the main reason for the 3 star rating. You are going to make plenty of cash on craps, just lower the freaking minimums. $10 would be awesome, $15 acceptable. Have a high roller table somewhere if you want. Blackjack was more reasonable, with $15 per hand bets when I went. The dealers I "dealt" with (haha) were all great in their own way. Some helping players with strategy, others just being very professional in their roles. In all cases, games flowed freely, and we had a good time at the tables. No one smoked at any tables I could see, though it was allowed. I would simply move to another table if someone did. I don't really do roulette or some of the things like 3 card poker, but minimums there were also pretty acceptable. Craps was just way way off. CHANGE THIS. I didn't bet with the sports book or play in the WSOP room. I did join the players club, and pissed away my $10 bonus on a slot machine in 2 minutes. Overall, I left the casino a couple hundo richer following mostly proper Blackjack strategy, which is more than most can say I would imagine. Went here for a concert. A bit in the middle of nowhere but the venue was super clean, and a respectable environment lol. i.e. - no fights or crazy drunk people. I did lose so that wasn't good, but overall a good time. The table dealers seem to be from all sorts of life, with my dealer telling me that she was a mortgage lender previously. Not sure how good the slots are but I did eye some of the Major bonuses and they looked a bit "low" and didn't boast some high payouts. But still, I value cleanliness, and safety so it's a nice place to just get away. The outside grounds with the statues are quite nice of a landscape and the place offers a hotel and some nice restaurants. Definitely check it out~ it's worth at least going once. read more

Caesar's in Danville Va. is a really quick drive across the NC/VA border. Parking is ample with an open lot and a free parking garage. Upon entering, the smell of cigarettes smacks across the face and straight up your nose. It's so bad, the further into the casino I walked, the more nauseous I felt. Unfortunately I forgot my KN95 at home, but luckily had a scarf and used it as best as I could to cover my nose & face. I'm highly sensitive to smoke. There had to be a better way of ventilating the building. It's such a nice place. The cashiers in the cashiers' cage are very pleasant. Doug explained a lot about the history of the building and Danville as well as a few things about the "High Level room". On Thanksgiving day, it was not too crowded, but busy. Since we only came to check it out, pick up our Caesar's card for the perks & get to our dinner reservations, we didn't stay long(Thank God). Every worker we encountered were very personable and happy to help; even the security at the gate to check your ID & gave us directions to the customer service counter (in the back). We attended a Heart concert at Caesars. Parking was a breeze, seating was comfortable and it is beautiful. The sound quality was exceptional. Could hear every instrument and all the vocals. Had a great time! Would not hesitate to attend another concert there. read more

I've been to several casinos outside Vegas. This one is different than the rest. They allow smoking throughout the building which I didn't think you could do anywhere. The Non-Vegas casinos I've been to all have self serve beverages throughout the casino, coffee, pop, tea. This one doesn't. You have to order a drink from your slot machine or a server. I ordered a coffee from the slot machine and after 30+ minutes it never showed. Went and paid for one instead. I could understand a long wait if it was busy, but it was maybe 10% full on a Saturday afternoon. read more

This place is a resort - its own little city. There is a hotel attached to this casino, as well as many food options. It still has that newly constructed smell as it is extremely well kept and clean. There's a pool, gym, and spa as well. Even if you aren't a gambler, this is a great place to stay as they do a great job separating the two areas. Tons of parking and they do have valet. First and foremost, I need to talk about the service. This place is absolutely laser focused on making sure that every single guest is welcomed and taken care of in any way possible. Every single employee from security, check in, pool attendants, bartenders, valets, dealers, waitstaff in the restaurants, janitorial staff, and housekeeping were super friendly and always said hello and asked how you were doing. They deserve eleventy million stars in the service department. Just consistent impeccable customer service. The hotel room was super comfortable and had all that you would need for your stay. There's a desk area, a TV, spacious closet, chairs, iron/ironing board, hooks throughout for clothing/towels, bathroom vanity magnifying mirror, towels, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash in shower), illuminated nightstands, refrigerator, coffee pot w/all the things, and a super comfortable bed. There are ice machine on each floor and complementary bottled water bottles are provided in your room. The gym is well appointed and has all that you would need for either cardio or weights. There's towels and a water cooler in there as well. Machines are up to date and all equipment was in great condition. The pool - okay, this is an experience. First, it's huge. There are like 100 super comfy lounge chairs throughout the pool deck. They provide towels that you grab upon entering and checking in with the attendant. There are umbrellas, but only 12 which isn't enough. That's is my only gripe. They need to double the number of umbrellas and make them bigger or get the ones that can tilt as it is hard to cover two lounge chairs with one of the small umbrellas. What would be super cool is if they could get sailcloth's installed among 3 of the poles to offer a continuous shaded space (maybe they'll read this & take it into consideration). There is a smoking section that they make you aware of so that if you smoke you know where to go or if you don't, you know where to avoid the smoke. There are bathrooms that are beautiful out at the pool that also have a shower available. There's a bartender out there with a walk up window that serves slushies, sodas, and any other cocktail you want. The bartender even walks around taking orders at the pool! They came around with samples of non alcoholic slushies that you can add alcohol to (brilliant way to sell them), as well as cold water bottles that were complimentary. You can charge drinks to your room or pay as you go. The pool attendant walks around and asks if they can get you anything or if you have trash, etc. Beyond accommodating and so so friendly. It was like being at a resort. I would get a room here and just hangout at the pool all day. Amazing. There is a food court that has pizza, BBQ, and burger joints called the 500 Block. There's also a Starbucks (amazingly fast service), Gordan Ramsey place (way too expensive), and a noodle bar. The hours online didn't always align with the places in the food court. The Starbucks is 6a-6p. Lots of options. The casino is a good size. They have table games and slots. No Pai Gow though so that's a boo. The casino is smoking so be aware of that if it bothers you. There is security at the entrances that will ask to see inside bags. Super clean casino. Was there three days and only saw waitress once. I am sure they only do certain days, etc. I think the rooms are affordable, as long as you don't try to stay on a weekend or when they have a show there (they have a venue here). There was a show on the day we left and the rooms were inflated to $800/night. This place is great and would even enjoy a stay here as a local just to use the amenities. During that visit, I had a disagreement with a staff member after feeling that I was being treated disrespectfully. Rather than addressing the situation professionally or trying to resolve it, I was simply told that I could not come back in that evening, so my family and I left. Years later, when I returned thinking enough time had passed, I was surprised to learn that I had been permanently banned over that one disagreement. No discussion, no opportunity to explain, and no effort at resolution. For a new establishment that hopes to represent the future of Danville's tourism and entertainment industry, this kind of policy feels incredibly heavy-handed and petty. Businesses of this size should be able to handle disagreements with customers without resorting to lifetime bans over a single incident. What disappointed me the most was the feeling that respect and hospitality were lacking. Danville deserves businesses that treat people with fairness and dignity--especially people whose families have deep roots in the region. After that experience, I will gladly continue taking my business to MGM National Harbor, where I've always been treated professionally. I sincerely hope Caesars leadership reconsiders how situations like this are handled, because Danville deserves better from a major destination venue. read more

We were staying in the area and decided to check this place out since I love casinos. We usually stay in AC or Vegas, but venture out to smaller area casinos when we can. For starters, they did just open. So I'll be kind as sometimes getting things up and running isn't always easy or smooth. There is still a lot of work to be done. A lot of dust, barriers, and overall dirtiness. Not something you usually see at upper end casinos, especially within the Caesars group. The food court is strategically placed outside of the casino floor. Which is kind of a hassle. You have to exit to go get food, then stand in line to reenter. Since all the restaurants inside had long waits we decided to hit them up. It was late and we were starving. Food was okay. But even a bit pricey for a casino menu. Because of the having to leave and enter again we decided not to go back in and call it a night. The machines were okay. Normal I guess. But almost every one I sat at wouldn't read my rewards card so that was a little annoying. It did cause us to only play a few and be done. We clearly didn't stay so I can't give input on any of the rooms. I'll update after we visit again. We'll give them a few months and see how it is once things are settled. Oh! The casino itself is fairly small, drinks are expensive, and all of the tables had really high minimum bets- which is really my number one problem with the place ($25 minimum for craps just means that I'm not playing and that's a bummer). We went to the Chef Ramsay restaurant which was good, but way too pricey for what it was. Overall, it's a casino, nothing really unique or special about it but it definitely is not a cheap day out- I won a little bit of money, but would have preferred to play table games if they were a bit cheaper. There is still so much at this hotel that is unfinished and it feels very understaffed. They allow smoking in all areas of the casino and it is just inescapable...it's awful. I've been to lots of casinos in Vegas and elsewhere including Macau. Including riverboat type casinos in the Midwest and Florida and NJ. My opinion, this is a pretty cool casino. I love the Sportsbook even though the need for one isn't as great with online sports betting in NC. It was the same way in IL. But the vibe is cool, with the huge screens showing whatever. Also, I like how many electronic tables they have like Craps, Roulette, Blackjack. Frankly, I like to play BJ fast, I don't care if it's at a table or machine, but I've found with tables it can slow down the pace to n boring with newbies. Same with the craps tables. I will say the staff are new but great and helpful from what I seen. One thing I wish they had was free soft drink and coffee machines but it's all good. Bathrooms are clean and nice. This has to be one if the most poorly managed poker rooms in the country. Management clearly doesn't give a damn about their customers, most likely because of a lack of competition in the geographical area. They only change the decks at the table once every 24 hours, so they're noticeably sticky after about 12 hours, it also gives potentially unscrupulous players an opportunity to mark them. They regularly over staff dealers and freeze the waiting list with the talking point that they are trying to " bust " tables to send dealers home. I'm almost 64 years old and have been playing live poker for almost 45 years, both all over the US and abroad. The drop in the 1/3 is as high as $9 dollars/pot for promotions that rarely hit (capitalizing on the time value of $). I wish they would open a competitive poker room within an hours drive. IMHO You would see both players and employees flee this place. On the good side the staff (dealers, servers, etc.) is great - both courteous and for most part professional. read more

Not yet ready to be open. It was dusty and generally not clean. Severe staffing shortages. 35 person deep lines to buy drinks at the bars, no servers in the lobby lounge with dirty dishes on most tables. Lines at every table to be seated. Dealers were extremely slow and error prone. Many machines already broken. Half the ATMs out of order. They had several empty card tables with $50 minimums but a line of 30 + people around the only two $25 min Roulette tables clamoring to play. When I inquired about this they said we would need to wait 90 mins for another shift to start to consider opening up more tables for roulette. I tried playing electronic roulette but the machine said the cash box was full so I couldn't play. They don't even have enough staff to empty out full cash boxes. Insane. Tried to go get apps and drinks at Ramsey kitchen. Hostess chased u after us as we approached the bar and said we needed to have a reservation for one of the many empty bar seats or stools and they were waiting for others coming in and have a waiting list. When I asked how long it would be she said she had to uphold Mr Ramsey's standards for a great experience and couldn't estimate how long it would be. I told her if she felt it may be 20-30 mins we would wait but if not we may leave. She said she couldn't say but that all the empty seats were accounted for and she wanted to be sure it was great once we got in. We left. It was not great. I simply asked for an estimated wait time and she was a horrible gatekeeper creating an awful experience. Apparently the good experience is only available once she grants it to you. FYI: 16 mins later we were notified a table was ready but we were already half way to a restaurant in Greensboro where they were delighted to have us and where didn't have to apologize for walking into the bar without permission. We went to see a concert which the concert was great but Caesars definitely takes advantage of their customers. For one night due to the show the price of the hotel room was $1000. You would hope the room would be amazing but it wasn't. The bed was uncomfortable, there was hair on the bathroom floor and no microwave in the room so if you buy food to eat later there is no place to reheat which forces you to spend more money. She finally found it but could not get a host on the phone so after holding she asks me to try back later (vs. having someone call me back). I normally play slots but the most fun I had was at this table for several hours and won a few bucks The slots are very tight. I won won a few games but put it back in. The entire hotel is smoky starting with the casino. My clothes and luggage smelled awful. The staff isn't trained well on the tables. I was cheated out of $300 because the woman put my 3 $5 chips across the small bet instead of stacking. When it hit, I should have gotten $450 instead of $150.
