Words can't express how wonderful Cadence Academy in Westerly truly is. Being an anxious first time mom, the thought of leaving my infant with anyone other than my husband was terrifying however, I am beyond thankful that the stars aligned to allow my son to experience the absolute BEST care around. As a parent, the level of communication is above and beyond what I could ever hope for. His teachers consistently send us pictures, keep us updated with his feedings, diapers and always take the time to tell us how his day was. The entire staff is transparent and I couldn't be more thankful for how often they communicate. They are ALL genuinely kind people who have the children's best interests at the forefront of every decision they make. As an educator myself, I am so impressed with how much the students learn beginning in the infant classroom! It's also clear that my son loves being there! He always has a huge smile on his face whenever he is greeted by the staff! It truly is a giant family and I'm so thankful we are a part of it. My children recently began attending this school and all I can say is WOW! My girls are so happy when they come home from school. They love the sensory activities and the focus on education and development. I personally love the strong communication with staff and notable dedication they have to making my children's experience a good one. I love the focus and attention they seem to have on each individual child, the reports make me feel like my girls get as much nurturing as they get at home! I love knowing that my children are getting excellent care while I am away at work. I currently work at CAP in Westerly, and provide a safe, warm, nurturing, and exciting environment for the children in my classroom. I have formed strong bonds with the children and their families, and love working with them every day. The teachers spend lots of time creating lesson plans and follow a skills based curriculum. The school provides high quality care and education for the children that are enrolled, and many families feel like we are a home away from home for their children. We have many families with more than one child enrolled, so it feels like we really get to know the families, and I love watching their children grow and learn. I have worked for this company for over 8 years. Something is to be said about the length of time that teachers stay. This is not just a "job" for me, these people have truly become my work family. My son has been going to TCW since he was 3 months old. The staff is so friendly, and the facility is clean and safe. I never worry when I drop him off. I know he's in good hands and everyone has become a second family to us. We recently started sending my daughter there and I'm excited that she gets to grow up with the same teachers as my son had. We have 2 children in the Children's Workshop - Westerly. There aren't enough words to describe how much we love this place for our children. We are treated like family and our children are loved and cared for unconditionally. The center is friendly, and CLEAN. We are new parents so this is our first experience with sending our daughter to childcare and we are very happy with the infant room. Miss Rita and Miss Tia have been really helpful with our transition to childcare. They totally understand that being new parents we are a little neurotic and they walk us through all of our questions clearly and calmly. Both of my children currently attend TCW in Westerly. My daughter is in Pre-K and has been going to school there since she was 12 weeks old. I can't say enough about how much she has learned during her time there, or how wonderful all of her teachers have been. The Children's Workshop of Westerly is a fantastic facility for children to learn and grow. Our daughter started with TCW at 10 weeks old and is currently enrolled in the Toddler 2 classroom. Her teachers are absolutely amazing and have proven that 'learning through play' is truly the best way to expand our daughter's knowledge.
