I guess no one takes the time to write reviews about daycares, well, thanks to Amy I am glad I read…read moreyours. First and foremost I have to say the lack of professionalism at this daycare from the stories by employees would have me telling everyone I know not to send their children there. My most biggest complaint is the way in which they treat the employees and pick and choose what concerns to address, even concerns about children. There are senior staff members that blame incidents on newer staff when parents questions what happened. I can confirm that they do not at all call parents to notify them of an incident. Might I add the two directors Andrea and Lydia are also very unprofessional when it comes to handling concerns, they are bias and favor senior staff, making decisions without obtaining all information. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS THERE OR WORK THERE!

Ballestrinis is the worst daycare I have ever known. On my child's first day there he fell and cut…read morehis face to bits - whenwe picked him up his face was covered in dirt and blood. When I called the following day to complain to the director instead of dealing with the issue she reported my family to the Department of children and family services. We were under investigation for two years. Fortunately our caseworker thought we were terrific parents and had no doubts. Years later we learned of several families who had same thing happen to them. And when we began fostering our niece our caseworker confided that this was common practice at Ballestrinis! Please, please do not leave your children with these awful people.

So far, in the three weeks my daughter has been their she wants to go to school every morning and she comes home happy. Her teacher even sent me a few photos in her first few days to help me transition from worried mom to know my daughter is in capable hands. So far im happy. ill have to ask again the names of the other daycare workers that are there in the afternoons for pick up because they are very nice as well. Im glad my daughter is learning and making friends. Im glad they take safety seriously as well as my daughter and i have issues with a stalker. I look forward to the continuation of my daughters care and learning process. I am a certified head teacher and take learning at this age very seriously am im glad Ms. Hailey goes out of her way to make sure i am in the loop. Thank you as well to Sokie for always being helpful when i have questions and thank you all for being yourself. i wasnt looking for a place to show or tell me what i want to here i chose this place because theyre real and seem honest

I am agreeing 100% with the previous poster. I have had nothing but problems with Carelot Childrens…read moreCenter. My kids go to the thompson, ct location and it is the complete same. They combine classes, teachers are always taking kids from other classes to run "errands" put the older kids on the buses, if there's too many babies in the infant they take them to the older classes and such, etc. VERY DISORGANIZED. They also do the bare minimum with teaching. My 4 year old is barely taught handwriting or anything important. There "handwriting session" is drop off in the morning trace your name on a yellow lined piece of note pad paper written in half! It's so pathetic how cheap they are. AND YOU WILL DEFINITELY want to know this... I signed up for full day care 7-5:30 because they were ALWAYS complaining if I was 15-20 minutes off schedule (doesn't matter about traffic, the fact that I'm a single parent, my schedule varies between school and work) they then told me that there DAILY RATE of $60 only covers 9.5 hours and that for the 10.5 hour day it would be an extra $7 per day per child!!! OUTRAGEOUS. And as the previous rater said, they do make you put 2 weeks down. They also make you do EFT payments, no other options. If you choose to do that with a credit card its a fee. But you also have to have a checking and credit card linked to your account so they have the ability to freely charge whatever they want. They fucked up my account and withdrew $166 extra for four weeks before I logged into my bank account to notice, also note they do not provide statements for you to trace unless specifically asked. I can't suggest enough that you do not bring your child to this very poor excuse for a daycare. They need to be shut down.

This preschool center is one of the best I've had my child in . When I first walked in there to…read moretake a tour the staff was so welcoming the place was so warm-felt I could honestly say I felt like I was at home. Every time I go to the center the owner is there that makes me feel so good about leaving my child there when the owner is there that shows me that she is serious about her work and she loves what she does and she's proud. They are also so willing to work with parents on their days . I had a family emergency and needed the center to take my child during certain days because as a nurse my days are already scheduled out six weeks in advance and I had no one else to watch my son because I am a single mother they had no problem helping me and my son has just started those are the kind of people you want watching your child the ones who actually care about children they could have said no and sent me on my way but they didn't. The center is clean they are proficient they are kind they help with potty training they have a hair dresser come in once a month to help cut kids hair because hair cuts aren't always the easiest things for two year olds. My son is socializing with other children . They have a full kitchen and a cook who makes the children's food fresh i mean really what more can a parent ask for . I love this center and would recommend it to any family I live about 20 minutes away and I wouldn't change going to this care center for any center that was closer to me. After reading the review below me I was appalled because those are not the ladies that are at the center the ladies I deal with are professional they are kind I hope that this review helps other parents when looking for a center for this child .

Our experience at Precious Memories Preschool of Sandy Hollow was very short lived. Less than 15…read moreminutes if were being honest. We brought our two-year-old son into their facility for his first day. He was very excited to start his first day and ran right to the classroom we were told he was to be assigned to from our previous visit. The owner of the facility told us that we are not welcome back due to him not being compliant. He did not listen to her when we first got to the center (shocker he is a two-year-old that was there for less than 15 minutes and overly excited) and when he fell out of his chair he cried and ran for us because he was scared (crazy how he ran to his parents to console him...). Those two reasons were enough for the owner to justify that we are not welcome back and our two-year-old is just not going to be a good fit. I'm not sure as to what they expect out of a two-year-old, when this is normal and age-appropriate behavior. But apparently our two-year-old was a safety issue as well. Regarding how they allow their doors to the classroom be unlocked for the children to open them without a gate which in my opinion, is a safety issue for the children. However, I warn any parents who are looking at this center to be wary. Even the staff apologized on account of the owner and were unsure as to what happened. Very unhappy and ashamed that I even thought this establishment would be kind to my child.
