Notice how almost every bad review that mill creek and briarwood animal hospital has, mentions Dr. Jones name and all of the reviews have similar complaints about her. You would think this vet office would have enough common sense and care of their patients and staff to do something about that. It is one thing for a doctor to be stern and direct but just flat out mean and hurtful to people is uncalled for.

All have been 5-star reviews because we had nothing but 5-star experiences throughout. Dr. Byrd is a wonderful, caring, extremely knowledgeable, down-to-earth vet, accessible to us every time we had questions. Valerie, Birdie's therapist, has become truly special to us: how she responded and worked with Birdie, how Birdie responded and worked with her, and how Valerie interacted with us. This is a part of MSU Vet School; they could film Valerie working with her dogs and show it to vet students as a tutorial. The other therapists are also friendly and welcoming and seem to have excellent relationships with their dogs and their people as well. And Amanda in the office is a joy, funny, good-natured, competent, thorough, a wonderful management person with exceptional people skills. We are so grateful to the entire staff for Birdie's recovery, which has been remarkable to us. We will miss seeing these good people who have become our friends, and Birdie's too!

I've actually used this clinic over several years for puppy vaccinations. Unfortunately this was my…read morefirst time using them for a sick puppy. I'm not sure if they honestly thought my fur baby would be okay or if they just didn't want to tell me there was nothing they could do. Either way, I was very disappointed in the lack of compassion I received from two Michael's staff members. I originally brought my puppy in this week due to vomiting and loss of appetite. He was prescribed medicine and we were sent back home. Since he could not keep the medicine nor food down and showed no improvements throughout the night, I called back the next morning and spoke with the young lady at the front desk about my concerns. I even asked if I should bring him there or take him to the hospital instead. She nonchalantly told me to bring him in and they would see what they could do for him. My husband dropped him off around 10am. I left work around 4pm and realized I had not received any news so I called them for an update. I spoke with a younger guy over the phone who told me my puppy was fine, just laying around. I asked him did my puppy eat or show any signs of being hungry (this is day 4 without eating), he stated they did not try to feed him, but he wasn't vomiting so I could pick him up. At pick up, I was sent home with food, instructions on a different method to administer meds, and I was also told not worry so much if he doesn't eat. The following day, I noticed he still was not better but I refused to call the clinic so I took him to the animal hospital instead. While at AERC, I called Clinton Family Pet Clinic and asked if they tested him for parvo and they stated no because he was up-to-date on his vaccinations. Unfortunately while at AERC, I received the news about my puppy dying while I was on the phone with the younger male staff member at Clinton Family Pet Clinic. My exact words were, "Disregard, he just stopped breathing." The staff member's response was "Okay" and we got off the phone.... I will never return to this place. Not because my dog died, moreso due to the lack of compassion, information, and simply appearing as if they did not care.
