Chocolate tasting - oreo crumbles and mini marshmallows

This place is a dream - have been planning my London trip around my visit to here! Recommend bringing kids over the age of 4 here, toddlers definitely would not have patience for some of the things (theaters, discussions, etc.). Cafe: offers afternoon tea and some quick lunch items, nothing remarkable. Chocolate store: amazing, the price point was WELL BELOW what I paid in the US. Has all Cadbury products under the sun, even saw brownie mix! The tasting offer is pretty nice, you get an option of two toppings. You get to temper chocolate and write with it. Definitely make a day trip out of it if you're visiting from London.

Cadbury World is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory come to life -- in all the decadence and bizarreness! When you arrive, you're handed three massive chocolate bars. You then begin your journey in the Aztec forests to learn about the origins of cocoa. Afterwards, listen to a play about Mr. Cadbury founding his chocolate shop, watch videos of their chocolate manufacturing process and learn about chocolate food science, write your name in chocolate, learn about the Cadbury "girls" who lived and worked at the factory in the past, and (most strangely!) ride on a car through "Chucklebean land" filled with creepy anthropomorphic cacao nibs with disturbing smiles and laughs. There's a big gift shop and a dingy cafeteria if you want to shop or eat some more. Then outdoors, there are some additional areas you can visit: a playground, a museum about Bourneville and the history of Cadbury in the city, and a "4D adventure" movie-like experience where you reunite with the "chucklebeans" and go on a romping journey through their fantastical world. Overall a fun, bizarre, novel new adventure. And that's worth a visit in my opinion!

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Cadbury World. The kids were so excited to be visiting a real chocolate factory. It was even more exciting to experience the new Cadbury Chocolate Quest Ride. Read our full review here https://www.attractionsnearme.co.uk/reviews/cadbury-world-review/

I remember seeing Cadbury World on one of those Facebook videos a few years ago. It looked like a real life Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. So I marked it down as one the places I'd want to go to if/when I visited the UK. Fast forward to 2017 to my first visit to the UK, and my friends and I specifically made Cadbury one of the stops on our trip. We found out about their BOGO Thursday deal, which if you call ahead and book your tickets for a Thursday after 1 pm, the tickets were BOGO free. It worked out perfectly because there were four of us. According to the person who took my ticket order, we would just miss all of the school kids, which was not true AT ALL. Every where we turned, there were hoards and hoard of school kids. But I'm not really complaining about this, since I pretty much expected it either way. I guess I was just a little disappointed that you don't actually get to see the factory line making chocolate (ever since they were bought by Mondelez). Cadbury is pretty just a self-tour museum of the history of their chocolate. I definitely wouldn't recommend going out of the way to visit (like we had with our 2-hour total trek), but if you're in the area, it might be worth checking out.

Great place to visit. Fun for both adults and children alike. Really interesting history and facts about Cadbury's chocolate making. Cool tour experience seeing how the chocolate is made with tasting along the way. Easy parking at location, and fantastic shop at the end. Loved it!

AKA: Cadbury World. I don't know how I learned of Cadbury World, but somehow I did. I was in England for holiday, and my friend's parents had never been either! We ventured to Birmingham and went on the tour. There was a cute ride you go through and they take your photo (for purchase, of course). They also feed you chocolate at every turn, it seems (which, I am OK with!). haha. It was so interesting to learn the history of Cadbury and the different confectionery processes. I am not sure if the taste will change since they were bought out (I heard?) - but I would definitely go again! Check it out - it's great for kids, and for adults!!! And the store has EVERY.CHOCOLATE.IMAGINABLE. Yummy.

Cadbury world is a great place to visit for all the familly. The prices are average and if you root about enough on the net im sure you will find a discount - especially on the 'London Midland' train site where they have a combined rail and entrance ticket proving to be good value. A word of warning though Cadbury world is a 15 minute walk from the station however it is not unpleasant. When you have got your ticket and started, you will be given a couple of bars of chocolate, then go through the exhibition of the Cocoa bean, then you walk a bit more into a room where they tell you what happens to the beans and make sure you sit on the front row ;) Then as you walk through theres different sections which I dont want to ruin for you, but at the end theres a huge Cadburys shop which sells everything. Outside make sure you have your ticket handy to enter 'Essence' where you watch a small movie in cool visual effects then enter a room where you will get given a small cup of warm melted chocolate and they will add anything from shortcake bits to popcorn. I would not recommend the cafe as its overpriced and not nice. Overall great for tourists and for most of the day, however Cadbury world itself would not fill a day for people travelling long distances.

We visited this attraction on Good Friday 2010, so as you can appreciate it was quite busy and damp weather. Unfortunately we were unable to book online as we had some discount vouchers and therefore has 2 hours to kill before we could enter the exhibition as "Pre-Pay" tickets obviously take priority. As far as the tour goes its not fantastic by a long shot, but informative it certainly is. Remember this is not Willy Wonkers chocolate factory! During the visit each member of the party had the following free chocolate: Warm Liquid Dairy Milk Chocolate In Pot Covering A Topping Of Our Choice. A Curly Wurly A Bag of Chocolate Buttons A Dairy Milk Bar and a Creme Egg Which I am sure you will agree is enough chocolate for anyone in one day, especially with Easter Eggs in two days time! So when people say you don't get enough chocolate I don't know what they expect in honesty. It is a good, informative day out for everyone, I would suggest searching for online discount vouchers as with any attraction these days, try and get there early of course. The chocolate in the Gift Shop it very cheap in comparison to the shops, around 60% (40% off) of I will add, so be sure to stock up if there is an important occasion coming up. Remember it's Chocolate! Everyone loves Chocolate!

One of the nicest things about this store is the friendly personable staff. My visit felt like a personal shop. I was offered samples and talked through all the options available for me when buying a box. One of my favourite things I bought from here was the hot chocolate sticks which was 2 for £3.50. The idea is you mix these chocolate blocks on a stick into hot milk and makes you a hot chocolate! Surprisingly good! The quality of the chocolate is fantastic! Brands like Lindt have a certain taste to them, and this place certainly has its own taste too. Their unique array of flavours are executed well without tasting cheap or inauthentic. It's all very tasteful and I suppose reflective of the prices. I chatted with the very nice owner and asked about the chocolates. It's worth noting that many items on sale are not made in the shop but rather bought in and branded as Chocolate Quarter. This doesn't at all mean they won't be nice or that the quality will be inferior. That doesn't follow at all. But it's not quite the 100% artisan shop that you might initially assume. The chocolates at the counter are made in the shop. I bought the minimum 4, selected because they were interesting flavour combinations, but I had to have them in a card presentation box and pay £6 for the priveledge. Flavour wise they were all very nice but I wasn't blown away considering they were £1.50 each! And they're pretty small, similar in size to the kind of chocolates you'd get in an everyday 'branded' selection box. So there are very many things to like about this shop and I love that they make some of their own products, but I was left a tad disappointed by the experience. I can't award 5***** because the prices are just too much in my opinion. You may well think differently and I'd encourage you to pop by. A choc filled box would certainly make a lovely gift.

Our British sweeties feel a bit bland in comparison. As Yankees is also essentially a little cart, the shop further taps into a neat sense of by-gone Americana.
