Pork tamales, beans, calabacitas, fried jalapeño corn and flour tortillas.
Richard M.

Decided to try this for breakfast, bad idea. The food was OK, just not alot of choices. What killed it for me was the price. $32 for breakfast? I mean seriously, that's ridiculous. I had calabacitas, beans and 2 pork tamales. The tamales were OK, not great. The calabacitas were pretty fresh, but no cheese in them which was odd. The beans were good, refried and hardy. Also had corn and flour tortillas, and a fried jalapeño. You can't really mess those up honestly. The tortillas were nothing special to be honest. The one thing i did enjoy was the churros. Very fresh and warm, encrusted in sugar and cinnamon, so good! I would have rated this place a 3 if the price was half off. The service was great, everyone was nice but this place is a rip off.

Cactus Mexican Buffet Breakfast & Lunch on Sunset Road in Henderson is a great restaurant serving authentic Mexican Cuisine. First time here for breakfast. Love the Comfy Festive atmosphere and the music playing in the background. Prices are $24.99+ tax for Adults. $11.99+ tax for Children (4-10). Drinks Included with Free Refills there is a Drink List on the Tables. Specialty Drinks are available for purchase. A good variety of food options starting with a Gordita Station, Stews from Menudo and Pozole, Rice, Beans, Chicken Enchiladas, Green and Red Sauce Chilaquiles, Chille Rellenos, some Breakfast items, Omelette Station at Breakfast time, Fruit and Dessert Station and Condiment Station. Breakfast served from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Lunch served from 12:00pm - 4:00. Lunch items available from Tacos, Fajitas and more. Nice friendly staff and great service keeping up with the cleanliness of the tables, buffet line and everything else. I like that the staff serves the guests at the buffet line. We walked out happy and our bellies full. Looking for a new restaurant to try this is the place.

If you are looking for a authentic cozy Homestyle Cooking like you walk into your grandma's house or a friend's house that welcome you to have dinner or party it's like that type of cooking. . When you first enter you will have to pay first and then they will see you and then you go to the buffet line and they will serve you because there is no self-serve. . The buffet is included with soda juice and coffee. I had their coffee and it was really good with spices and cinnamon. Also we did get a Diet Coke as well. . For the buffet line it went pretty quick and did you serve you and ask if you need more portion or less or if you like a specific piece you would just let them know. . I went during Thanksgiving weekend so they did have something special which they did have a whole turkey. They also had a pineapple and strawberry tamale which was different and homemade and it was on the sweet side like a pastry. They also have your Savory tamale as well with jalapeno and cheese or pork tamale. . They also have your Mexican soup like menudo and pozole which was really authentic and I really like the menudo because it has the beef stomach in it. The pozole has a lot of chickpeas and chunks of pork with ribs too. I also like how the garnish was not self-served so you can put as much onions and cilantro and any spices you need for the soup. . I really like their steak fajita with cactus stir fry it was really great and the meat wasn't dry and it was actually flavorful and had a nice tenderness to it. . They also have a lamb leg or beef leg I wasn't sure what it was but it was really great and I do love the presentation where they do cut pieces out of it to serve you. You do not get the bone but there is a big bone attached to the meat while they're cutting it for you. . They also have your chili relleno which was really authentic and it was a great texture and flavor. They also have your chips and salsa with guacamole and different sauces at the bar where you can self serve. . Overall I really like the cooking because it really reminds me of walking into a friend's house that welcomes you to their party and you get to try their cooking. It's very cozy and a nice selection to choose from. The price was about 30 bucks for an adult and 10 percent off for seniors. Thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.

Food is unbelievable good, a lot of home flavors... the environment is 100% for the whole family, people at the front desk at friendly an bilingual, great service overall.

Horchata

Food was very delicious and with many authentic flavors. I was not too happy with being charged 8 dollars for the Horchata since it was nothing extraordinary or extravagant. I think they should have horchata in their included drinks since it is a staple in the Mexican cuisine just like drinking Coke-Cola. The ambiance is nice, good music playing, servers in the buffet area are attentive. The dessert area does need some attention since it is a small area and during my visit didn't get much options besides mini concha's and cookies. Was able to get some fresh churros which was glad to see they offer that. I am glad that a restaurant like this does exist since you can try many delicious Mexican dishes but dont get fooled to pay too much for regular horchata drink.

The Cactus Mexican Buffet is super welcoming with a check in for the waitlist right near the door. There isn't a ton of seating to wait inside. They offer all the favorites and some cool specialty non-alcoholic drinks. It was super busy and staff checked in a bunch. The buffet area was clean and labeled and staff serving were friendly. My favorite things were the tamales, plantains, chilaquiles, and rice pudding. Everything was very well seasoned and warm. I got the strawberry horchata, which was super creamy but the strawberry on it was a bit wilted. My only concern was that certain parts of the restaurant in the dining area and the restroom were not as clean as they could be. It was a great value and I'd definitely return for another visit to try the items I couldn't this time around.

Birthday celebration

What a great find. We had to drive to Costco for work and hadn't eaten yet. After a quick search in the area, I came across Cactus Mexican Buffet. I LOVE chilaquiles and they had it. So my husband and I decided to try it. Wow! The food is great. It's prepared in small batches so what you're eating hasn't been sat out all day. We had chilaquiles, chile relleno, enchilada, gorditas, elote, tamales and more. It was all VERY GOOD. The staff were all so sweet. The ambiance is awesome. Not stuffy and not dingy. I'm excited to come back. $25/person for great food and all you can drink soft drinks is well with it.

Food was ok. Based on a buffet it was what you expected. Very clean and good service. I did like that they have kid friendly food as some kids only wants fries or nuggets stuff like that. I will say it's called cactus MEXICAN buffet but the don't JUST have Mexican food. So keep that in mind. For the price it's ok

Marta M.

The service was excellent, but the food was just okay since it's a buffet-- all you can eat. However, they require you to line up each time you want to get food, and you may need to do this multiple times for additional servings. For example, when you're ready for your next plate, you'll have to wait in line, unlike simply grabbing what you want. I understand the reasoning, but it feels somewhat restrictive. The price per person is $30, which includes drinks, but only some drinks are included; others require a separate payment. We visited on a busy Saturday around noon, which was quite crowded.

We ordered the pancake combo and the chilaquiles Con with Chorizo, and both were great choices. I asked for extra crispy bacon and most places disappoint me as they don't know what extra crispy is but this place nailed it!!!! It was so good. The eggs, extra crispy hashbrowns and bacon were great. Pancakes which we shared were also delicious. The best we have had! The chilaquiles were outstanding according to my fiancé. They give you the option of red or green sauce or the option for half and half which is what he chose. The salsa verde was good and the right blend of tomatillos, green chiles and everything else. It was not overly spicy but just the right amount of kick to let you know there was some heat in there and he tried the pepper that it came with but it was out of his spice range. The salsa Roja was flavorful but it had a little more kick than some of the other chilaquiles I've had but It complimented everything else. The chorizo was fresh and made onsite. Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were solid--definitely a satisfying start to the day. The menu has a lot of options for different tastebuds and even the most picky eater in the group. (Me lol) The service really stood out. Our server Lily was awesome--super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. She even recommended her personal favorites which made ordering easy. She brought us out a Fresh Fruit Crepe which was a wonderful surprise considering it was my fiancés birthday. It was light, fluffy, and the textures were great. It has blueberries, strawberries and Green Apples. You can tell the fruit was fresh because it was still crisp and firm. The diner itself is spacious and growing. It is getting harder to find places that balance quality and price well, and this one definitely does. I went with the dulce de leche pancakes and they were easily the highlight. Great flavor, not overly sweet, and just done right. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made you feel taken care of. I especially liked that the server referred to guests as "familia." It is a small detail, but it adds a personal touch that makes the whole experience feel more authentic. Overall, just a really solid breakfast spot that I would come back to without hesitation.

Short stack of pancakes is already too much for one person. So, the full stack only makes sense for two people to share. My favorite is the German chocolate cake version. Pink Duck Kitchen is a local Filipino-American fusion brunch restaurant that has maintained solid Yelp ratings and recently garnered a spot on the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Top 100 restaurants of 2025. Seeing as how it's the last Henderson spot which I hadn't tried, I decided to rectify that oversight today. I was thinking breakfast at first, but the Lamb Sandwich ($17.99) caught my eye. After clarifying the form of protein with the server, I said yes to this offering. I'm glad I did because it's a stunner. To start with, the bun is nice and soft. The pulled lamb is so tender and surprisingly free from gamy flavor, and whatever it's braised in does so much work making it irresistibly tasty. Then the tzatziki creaminess, tomato umaminess, and even the banana pepper tanginess really round out the flavors. Even the cucumber slices are perfectly portioned to add some crispiness and flavor. Fries come with the sandwich. I was hesitant since they were thick and also very brown. Fortunately, they were soft and fluffy inside, and there was enough crisp from the potato skins. They were actually a little undersalted too, but when I finally flagged down the server for some ketchup, I unlocked the code. The fries are just about perfect with a healthy amount of that Heinz goodness. I did get a bite of breakfast though. My friend's Ube Pancakes ($14.99) were cited as a dish to try on that top 100 list, and I can see why. There's plenty of ube flavor, and a good balance of a lightly crispy exterior and soft interior. The fresh mango and berries were a great touch, as was the whipped cream on the side. I'll have to have a full dish for myself one day. It wasn't as packed when we arrived as I was anticipating; I guess Sunday brunch invites a late-morning crowd though, since it started filling up. Music was top 40 stuff and not too loud. Really my only issue was the water not being ice cold. I've gotta come back to Pink Duck Kitchen since they have such a fun variety on their menu and they're one of the closest interesting restaurants to my side of town. If you live across town, it's actually drive-worthy for that lambwich alone.

We arrived at 11am, and while the vibe inside was lively and the decor was really cool (modern with Pink Duck vibes), we hit a bit of a snag right away. Despite seeing several empty tables, we were told there'd be about a 15-minute wait. Honestly, that was a little frustrating, especially when you're hungry and can clearly see open spots. We almost considered trying somewhere else, but decided to stick it out. And I'm so glad we did, because from the moment we were seated, the service was absolutely stellar! Our server, gave us great recommendations and made sure our drinks were always full. The rest of the staff we interacted with were equally friendly and efficient, they really turned the initial annoyance around. The fusion dishes here aren't just creative for creativity's sake; they're genuinely well-executed and thoughtfully balanced. $15.99 Fried Chicken & Ube Waffle - This was my dish, loved it. $16.99 Banana Nut Bread French Toast with Carmelized "Banana Cue" We went family style on this and I would order again. $16.99 Pork Belly Burger $15.99 Breakfast Burrito Everything felt fresh, vibrant, and celebrated both Filipino and American culinary traditions without either overpowering the other. The creativity in combining these flavors was executed well. I'd definitely visit Pink Duck again to sample more interesting dishes I saw on the menu. Mabuhay!
