I had the best time . I was skeptical which tour company to book with but the hotel had cactus tours as a recommendation. They have a 3x1 combo where we chose camel ride, horse back ride, and atv ride with free tequila tasting. With that plus the $25 per person entry, I paid $330 altogether which isn't bad at all. I also ended up paying $150 for the private tour which I'm glad we did and paid $50 per person for the automatic atv and it covered insurance as well. Our tour guide was Javier Ochoa and he was amazing. He explained instructions clearly, got us in to meet the baby camel, helped us get pics on our phones. It was the best experience. If you book with Cactus Tours and do a private tour, ask for him.
IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. This place should not even be in business after what we experienced. We showed up at 11 AM for our tour, only to be ambushed with a surprise breathalyzer test because we had drinks the night before. We weren't told anywhere in the booking process that this was part of the "experience," and they acted like we should have known. Both of us passed the legal driving limit for a car, but they still refused to let us drive at all -- not even on the passenger-friendly trails. Instead of offering a refund, rescheduling, or any reasonable solution, they smugly told us we could "just ride as passengers" -- for the exact same price we paid to drive. So we essentially paid hundreds of dollars to sit in the back like luggage while watching other people have the fun we booked. The staff were condescending, unapologetic, and made it clear they had no interest in customer satisfaction. The whole operation feels like a money-grab trap with zero transparency. I've done tours all over the world, and this is the only one where I left feeling scammed. If you value your money, your time, and your dignity, stay far, FAR away from this place.

Avoid This Place at All Costs - Total Rip-Off We booked this tour expecting an exciting Can-Am adventure that we have done well over 10 times. Instead, we got a humiliating and overpriced waste of a morning. When we arrived at 11 AM, they suddenly pulled out a breathalyzer and said we had to blow before driving. No warning about this policy when booking, no mention in the confirmation email, nothing. Because we'd had a few drinks the night before, they told us we couldn't drive at all, even though we were well under the legal limit for operating a car. They didn't offer a refund or even a discount, just told us we could ride along as passengers for the exact same price we paid to drive. The staff were rude, dismissive, and clearly didn't care whether we had a good experience. It felt like they were just looking for an excuse to keep our money without delivering what we paid for. I've done plenty of off-road tours, and this was by far the most unprofessional, customer-unfriendly operation I've ever dealt with. Save yourself the frustration and spend your money somewhere that actually treats guests with respect.

Park fee $25 per person Picture fee $20 per sheet (Personal cameras are not allowed). Go Pros can be used if strapped to your body the entire time. You can also purchase all your pictures on a thumb drive
Thieves!!!! Do not come here !!! They lure you in with a fake price, but once you get there they force all this up charges. We were told it would be $99 for TWO activities per person. We ended up having to pay $160 per person for ONE activity only. We had to pay because they picked us up from our hotel and we were stranded in the middle of nowhere. Save yourselves!
We got our tickets through a third party for $35/ person. I'm glad because all the extra fees would have pissed me off like other reviewers if we didn't feel like our excursion prices weren't pretty decent. Here is total breakdown of what we paid for two people. $40 ($20/person) - Park entrance fee $70 ($35/ person) - Camel Ride $30 - Tip for our guide and assistant $100 - All photos on a flash drive $70 ($35/person) - UTV Ride $45 - UTV full protection insurance $20 - Tip for our instructor $50 (negotiated) - All photos on same flash drive ---------------------------------------------- $425 - Total Excursion Costs for Two People Tip: Pay park entrance fee only once for all activities done in the same day. Our camel guide Chris was very nice and funny, which made the experience a lot of fun. Surprisingly, the camels did not smell bad at all. Riding and taking pictures with the camels was definitely a cool thing. We had a blast doing the UTV and would definitely do it again. Make sure you let them know if you feel like your vehicle doesn't have enough power. We had our first UTV switched out, and the second one was much more fun. The instructor Jackal was very friendly too. The service we received overall was fantastic. Lunch and tequila tasting included with your visit. Tacos and drinks were nothing special, but unlimited. The passion fruit tequila was yummy, so was the coffee. Overall it was a great experience, however, I can see how it can be disturbing to others. Go in with some expectation that they are there to make money. You can't bring your phones, but honestly, you can't take the professional photos from their vantage points either. Just see if you could negotiate a discount like I did. Or just enjoy the fun activities for what they are and forget about the photos. They will live on in your memories for sure. We had a wonderful time.

You can also have a private party ride (Just your party) for $35 per person, this also includes all pictures. They won't tell you about it until the end of you signing all your paperwork. (If this is what you want, ask for it from the beginning.) 6. They'll ask for tips for the 2 drivers that will pick you up and drop you off from your hotel. 7. The tour guide will also ask for another tip for him at the end of the tour. 8. Cameras are prohibited on the tour. 9. THEY WILL ALLOW GO-PROS if you have one. It just need to be hands free for safety! The experience on the camel and on the racer car were amazing. We had a lot of fun. We were put on a group of about 15 people. Racers car can be 2-Seat and 4-Seats. Camels are 2 per camel! You'll also get to enjoy two tasting size tequila shots per person at the end of the tour. We had a good time, it was just overpriced. And all those fees, we only found them out once we were already there in front of the sales guy! Only reason why it's only a 3 star review. Overpriced and asking tipping for everything!
The experience of riding ATVs with family was awesome. We paid extra for a private tour so we can go at our pace and it just further enhances the experience that you know everyone in the group. Our tour guide was kind and friendly, he had our best interest at heart. Spoke English. My advise for future visitors is to negotiate all prices with the sales person AND all the upsell when you are onsite. Also, don't be pressured on giving more than you initially think is fair for tipping.
We did a combo tour - camel ride and ATV's. A fun ride, the ATV ride was the best. We cruised the gorgeous coast line and rode on the beach. We had a 2 two seater ATV's and 1 single ATV. My husband and I rode the two seaters and my daughter drove the single. We had a blast. Victor was our tour guide and it was so much fun!
We met a shark at the airport who offered the deal if we sat thru the timeshare presentation. We did and purchased a time share because it made financial sense with the amount of travel we commit to. The total cost for the horseback riding , atv and dolphin excursion with the entrance fee for the ranch and dolphin rides was 1600$ for 12 people in our party. 6 adults and 6 children. Now back to the ATV experience. We arrived after pickup from the hotel. Tipped driver about 10-20$ for our party of 12. Did the check in process and were offered a bunch of upsells which is expected and a fair thing to do in business . I didn't read the reviews beforehand and the better you tip the better your experience will be : exception if you are an A list celebrity. We declined all upgrades and insurance as we used a credit card and did the hold as most cards have coverage and will fight any issues that arise for you. We first elected to ride the horses and it was great. My horse started eating grass on the route so we got separated. The lead came back and caught me up to the group. 3 in our party decided to ride the camels. It was a fun experience and they did a good job of matching up with rider to horse. Saw the desert then beach area. During the trip another in our party felt sick and threw up once off the horse. They sent a car down to transport him back up. Someone else came and picked up the horse. We got back on the trip. Once there we jumped off the horses and jumped in the transport back up to the main area to get on the atv. We tipped out horse guide and said thanks. We then met the ATV host and they gave a quick tutorial on expectations. We then went on a different route from desert to beach then desert then beach then back up. We were able to open the bikes up on the beach but then another vomiter and a refusal to wear a helmet. They had to switch from a 2 person to 4 person car. They went above and beyond and we tipped them well for this relatively speaking. I think both host were tipped 70-90$ plus 20$ for each photographer. Also bought a bottle of tequila after enjoying the tasting. I would always rather support small business than gigantic corporations like BevMo. Also the workers are working to provide you with a great experience. When in Vegas or LA , I always tip my host that I've done business with for decades.

We wanted to ride UTV with our 2 kids during our Cabo visit. We decided to go with this company as we haven't tried them yet. First, if we did the earliest time, breakfast was included (7:15am pickup at resort0. We figured we would get there eat and then ride. Breakfast was actually brunch, so needless to say we were hungry, but I figured that is how they first suckered us into buying some food from their snack shack, yet nothing was communicated from resort or Cactus. Second - when we signed in, the gentleman behind the counter sold us the $45 insurance. We got in since our inexperienced 16 yo was driving (peace of mind), $20/pp for park entrance fee and then $150 more to ride our family only. This also allowed us to take our photos. It didn't upgrade our vehicles though BE AWARE - they will not allow your own photo taking if you go with a group. The photos are $20/photo but over $100 for all of them, but we didn't buy them because not all of the shots they took were good and I didn't want to buy singles for that cost. Glad I was able to take our own pictures. It was worth going privately (balanced out) Third - they didn't mention anything about lockers, so ask if you need to put your stuff in one. We also waited for our guide for over 10 minutes while he got our vehicles ready. There were only 2 and we waited for awhile before even getting our gear. Fourth - once we got on our way, the tour itself was awesome. Our guide (i believe Francisco) was great. He went over all the safety signals and what to do and not do. He always kept an eye out for us and was helpful with my daughter on putting her goggles on with her helmet. He kept us on other paths away from the group rides, up and down hills, along more beach, more ride time. We made our first stop at the camels, where we can get some water, bathroom break, and grab a snack if needed. We took a picture with Sabrina the camel. They are such neat animals. From there we got back on and rode longer. Stopped at a cliffside where the water breaks against the rock. Great point for pictures. Then we headed back in. Fifth - after our ride we stopped at the Tequila Bar for 2 free tastings per person. I enjoyed the coffee, and almond. I tried another I believe peach, but to purchase was too costly for my liking. Sixth - finally we were able to go upstairs and eat our "breakfast." It included a whole apple, 2 small burritos that were bean and the other included chorizo with some beans. For what we paid and the extras, I was quite disappointed and there wasn't much taste to them. Lastly - even though we were able to take our phone for pictures, they still had a photographer follow our group and take photos. As I mentioned before, they were just ok. Just a few I would have purchased, but wasn't going to spend $20/pp to do it nor pay $100 for all of them so we declined. It was an adventure and my son enjoyed his first UTV experience, but maybe next time we try another outfit to compare to. Just watch out for the extra charges that your initial sign up may not mention. read more

We were in Cabo from Dec 26 through Dec 30th and did the Horseback riding and ATVs as a part of our excursions. Our arranged tour was coordinated by Eden (we met at airport regarding timeshare presentation). The amazing things about the adventure is they pick you up from the hotel. The facility is about 30 mins away from the hotel. They required masks and are very committed to safety. It's a lot of fun. There are few lockers and the landscape is beautiful. We were allowed to take our go pro. There is also a free tequila tasting at the end. Christian was our activity leader and was very attentive. He made me feel very comfortable on my horse. For the ATVS, I was allowed to be in a 2 seat ATV, so I didn't have to drive. The speed and curves were too much for me lol Dislikes: -$20 per person for entrance fee - sales tries to upcharge for a newer or vehicle with more specs - won't allow you to bring your camera . Yet, charge for pictures of your adventure. - charge for pictures Now that I know what it's store, I would come back but do the camel riding. read more

I went here today and experienced the cactus tour, ATV ride, camel ride with lunch. I was also offered a tequila tasting, but I don't drink. Irving was my guide and it was informative and fun. I would definitely do this again! Thank you, Cactus Tours and Irving, for a fun afternoon! read more
Try the sunset camel excursion if you've never ridden camels before! Such a beautiful view and peaceful time! If possible, add on the tequila tasting and have the tacos!! They're AMAZING!! Thank you, Cactus Tours, for saving those sweet creatures!! read more

Do not waste your money with this company. The 2.5 hour camel tour translated to 15 min 15 second ride. Being pulled by a employee across the beach with ATV's whipping by all around you. They lock up your cell phone, and ask for $150 for crappy photos at the end. In a day and age where everyone has a high resolution camera in your pocket - Cactus Tours is still hustling you for every penny. From the moment you land at this location, they work really hard separating you from your money. We paid $700 + dollars for a family of seven to do this and it really sucked, and the employee's are rude. Up Side - the all you can eat tacos where a hit with the kids. But those where some expensive tacos. read more

We are all entitled to our own opinions, right? Well here's mine: Parking: NA (shuttle picked us up) Location: 5 Decor/ambiance: 4 Customer Service: 5 This was a cool addition to our Cabo vacation. We booked this event with a lady at the Cabo airport. Cactus ATV Tours (CAT) was alot of fun. This was probably my favorite activity we did in Cabo during our week stay. CAT sent a shuttle to our resort to pick us up and it drove us about 45 minutes away to the spot where the tours were given. What a cool place. There was atleast 100 ATVs all lined up in the front when we entered the grounds. We totally enjoyed the tour. Check out some of my pictures! Here are a few things to keep in mind -- They will ask you to get their ins Insurance. It's not mandatory that you get it but they insist that it's good for you to have. Its good to get it just in case someone hits you ... surprisingly you are still at fault (thats how it was explained to me by the lady at the desk). Also, the pictures that they take are stuuppidddd expensive and aren't event that great of quality. They tell you that you are not allowed to take your phones with you... thats so you don't take pics... but hey i missed that announcement and ended up taking my phone and we had a blast! I do not recommend taking your phone though lol. Almost lost that bad boy several times! read more

Visited here for a friend's birthday and we purchased the camel ride along with the ATV ride experience. We paid for this in advance but when we arrived we were told that we had to pay more money for an entrance fee. I feel like the entrance fee should have been discussed or included in the price in advance to avoid any confusion. But originally we signed up for just the group tour but we found out that on the group tours you can't bring your phones with you unless you upgrade to the private tours which was $65 more or somewhere around that range. Originally we weren't going to pay that considering we still had to pay for the entrance fee but for an experience like this we wanted photos and he explained how it would have cost an additional $150 for the photos, so at that cost it only makes sense to upgrade to the private tours to get our own photos just in case we didn't like the professional ones. (And gratefully we did bring our phones on our private tour because we only liked one photo, which we purchased for an additional $20). Personally this place felt like a "foot in the door" type of spot. Once they get you in they started throwing out all of these additional prices at you to make more money. The experience itself was nice and I really enjoyed myself. They even have a tequila tasting where you can sample 3 of their tequilas, which were pretty interesting but tasty. He said normally they offer free food at the end but because we did a group package with multiple activities the food wasn't included (which made no sense to me despite the amount of money we spent here), so we had to order food and it was decent, pricey, but decent. Our tour guide was awesome , which is why I'm giving it 4 stars, but truthfully this place is a solid 3 stars without him. Cactus Tour offers wide range of outdoor activities in Cabo San Lucas. We were there on Dec 21st and 22nd and joined the camel riding as a part of our excursions. We purchased the tour via one of the booths on pier. The tour was fun and we enjoyed a lot. Price and service were acceptable. The problem was long-wait in the Cactus lobby. There were lots staffs but they only did what they were told. The manager had no idea how to re-arrange workload. As a result, there were staffs had nothing to do while many customers were waiting on a long line. Shafting from start to finish. 40 minutes late to pick us up? Then our cars that are supposed to be the fastest ones go just as fast as the standard razr when we paid for the can am rc ones. Also never got to go top speed. Then proceeded to wait 40 minutes for a van back! This place is NOT as they advertised. Go elsewhere or hope to have time for waiting around! read more
